Here's the first Beta release of my 6.5 23001 ROM it's a beta so don't expect it to be perfect,

I'd like to say Thanks to all the people that have given there tools and shared there work on this site like Bepe,Itsme,Explode,SunDream,Da_G and Many more how's names I'v missed
Explode,Sundream,Helmi_C and many more for there work on the BA Device,

If you change the descktop theme do a soft reset and then your dialer will match your desktop
The ExtROM from Explode's ROM should work fine with this ROM,:D


I got 1 of my ba's back from repair shop:) it lasted a week:( and the touch screen has stopped working:( so I'v not bean able to test this 100% but it seems good I'v built this without the use of touch screen:rolleyes:

Thank you for your rock. I used your WM6.5 ROM many times. On this ROM can I use the STK as on WM2003. I still want to used STK function that I came back to WM2003. Anyhow, I like you WM6.5 to much.

ExtROM I'v not had time to do one yet mate;) use Explode's ExtROM and do in the week, But it's dam HARD with no touch screen:( so may 3-4 days waiting to get my other BA back:D then i can send this one back under warranty:rolleyes:

There's no STK that works with any BA:( rom since 2003 not for WM5 or WM6.xx

At last, after so long we finally have a new ROM for the BlueAngel. Everything was silent so long, which was pretty sad. Felt like the BlueAngel is losing its fanaticism. Its making me, and I am sure many others very happy to finally see a new ROM for our BA.

but there is one problem,until now no body solve this issue of this problem,this problem that when the (telephone off + locked) when we recieve a call it will be to late then ring,i test it about more than 8 seconds then the device wake up and response.
every thing is good like bluetooth wifi gps gprs and so faaaaaaasssssst.

Thanks for your report I'v had this problem with all builds since 21232
with touch diamond and charmer it seems to be a common fault with older devices when i get a fully working BA i'll try some 6.1 phone files from older SYS could be theres some diff in new radio's to old

Hi mate i'v not had any probs syncing I'm useing MS_XP are you on vista or mac? don't know much about vista but there is a page on this site somewere that's all about vista problems maybe it could help

But do try reflashing the rom

There is something about different settings for vista I'll see what i can find about it

i'v tested your new rom in my BA with IGO8.3 and spb mobile shel 3.1 and more programs...it's so good and so fast the b.t. work fast and i tested wi-fi a lttle but work well:)

P.S. yer i did spot your post to him maybe you should have said 23001 on BA?

BUG......Broadcomm Bt Stack 1.7 do not works with this as i install it the today screen becomes crappy and also the start menu icons overlaps each other. Uninstall dont fix this. Hard Reset is an only option.

I'm also unable to sync. I tried to sync 3 diff ways, with XP, Vista and directly via GPRS with my Exchange server. None of them work. They all recognize the host, are able to sync with the local PC but all are unable to actually sync with the Exchange server. Error code 80180001

The prog seems to work then try's to update,:confused: Now my phone will not connect to internet but open file explorer insted of connecting to net:confused: I'v had a prob like this once before, Think it was Default_0409.htm file I will have a look after work tonight,

you have it right, sort of....:). Yes, all the local based stuff works, and the remote cyberspace stuff doesn't. BUT, it has nothing to do with the browser or internet connection because this is a service built into AS and Microsoft Exchange server working in PUSH mode. Even when my BA is connected physically to my PC which is connected directly to my work LAN and Exchange server, The server stuff generates an error log and doesn't sync. There is some problem with the AS running on the device and the Exchange server OWA services. They can talk to each other, I know this becase they establish a connection and I can log into the server, but they can't seem to transfer any data.

When you publish the new ROM, I'll give it another shot.

I flash the ROM, it's so cool! But :( I cannot sync my BA and my latop!

The PDA is connected to laptop and I saw it in Windows Explorer, Windows mobile device center is connected to the device and I setup partnership but when Windows Mobile device center sync it says "Sync error"

I've hard-reset my device and install no softs and then sync again, the prob is not fixed. My latop installed Win7 build 7260. I've tried install Windows mobile device 6.1, it didn't work too!

Changed DPI's and Lang_0409 Files, I havent see any improvment for IT :rolleyes: and the Activesync Problem Now I'v Got IT :( :D Now maybe I can fix :D
So if you'v "not" got the sync bug:confused: Don't upgrade to this or you WILL:( ,

first you need to download the file attached to this, it unpacks the file, and connect PPC with PC via Bootloader mode then Windows Vista you need to do the following:
right mouse on My Computer / manage device / and click on 'HTC USB Sync' or similar, driver Remove the USB device that has Vista installed and add the driver of Act 4.5 (select the device and upgrade it but not forced set automatically).
Choose 'Browse my computer for driver software'.
Select "Click 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer".
Select 'Have Disk'.
Then lead to the source. Select 'HTC USB Sync' from the list, then click 'Next'. Wait for the new driver is installed

Thanks for this wonderful ROM. All essentials work well. I see a problem to access internet with the conncetion routed through AS 4.5. but the access of the PDA directly by WIFI is very good.

Hi Swampy,
Touch Screen alignment seems to be a common problem in this forum. My I-Mate PDA2K is also limping because it responds to the first five taps correctly in the screen alignment startup going from centre to LH top & thereafter in anticlockwise direction but goes into a loop thereafter jumping to the centre again on the 6th tap.
I have bypassed the screen alignment using the code factory remote alignment tool avaiable at url http://www.codefactory.es/en/downloads.asp?id=44
Further I am using MyMobile software available at url http://www.mtux.com which allows me to work on the limping PDA2K from my PC using AS45. So acually I end up doing typing & clicking really fast & with sensible button assignments & use of the inbuilt keyboard i am just fine inspite of the handicap. You may like to try the same.
If any user who has a fully functional PDA2K or any other BA variant can put the 5 co-ordinates dat file using the remote alignment tool refered above this can be useful addition to the WIKI.
With that our BAs or BA variants can be restored to full glory.
Request some of the members to contribute to the BA wiki on this aspect.

i 've tried last weeks several R6.5 roms (yes, including Helmi and Explode) and did a quick test run. But since my main use of my Tmobile MDA III is TomTom with a (Bluetooth) wireless GPS, this is the most smooth running version i have seen so far for my Tom Tom 6.
superb ! Now my wife is willing to use TomTom again.... :-)

Since the kids also like to use it to watch Pingu, Bob the builder etc avi's what player (version) would you recommend ? obviously using best graphics..
same goes for listening to music.... what to use ?
i'm using 2Gb SD cards, so mp3's and avi's are a good solution.
If you could point me into a good direction ? (if you say Windows Media player i would be surpised, but am willing to give it a good try then)

i appologize for the question, but it is such a jungle in player stuff... freeware preferred of course.

that depends on the way you set it up and the speed of your sd card, sometimes my videos play slowly, too, on the ba, i never have problems like that on the universal, it has the native resolution of most of my xvids and a faster sd card and a faster cpu, the settings are all the same on both devices, so maybe check your settings and if they are ok, check the speed of your sd card, fragmentation... then it should work fine, not perfect but fine.

just to let you know.

I tested the ultimate TCPMP (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=535504 )
it worked superb, and smooth. and many, many formats are supported.

one remark ...it did not give me a short-cut in the menu.

Of course i also then tested swampy's TCPMP of BA_20275 Rom 2 years ago i can NOT confirm it runs smooth video with 6.5!
it runs ok with ultimate tcpmp. so i will change back...

Sorry if someone already answered this. This was happening to me when rings were on the Storage Card. Just copy your ringtone to /Widnows/Rings and there will be no more lag.. :cool:

Sorry don't know, no one else has said anything about it,
I don't have a BA to test it out now:( there both dead, well busted screens don't know if I'll have them fixed :rolleyes: 70.00 pound a go, don't think it's worth it for an old BA,

Swampy, I have done some more investigation, found that the fault happening on a couple of other ROM's that I had used previously. FULL RESET and Cleaning the REGISTRY settings sorted the issue, odd hadn't had to do this before.
Also noticed that after I FLASH it, I need to do a registery reset prior to the first boot or the Autoloader fails to install the EXTROM Packages.

Thanks for your support and the Work you and Explode have put together, the ROM all in all is a good build. Syncing with Exchange is flakey, but if I select via the internet I dont have any issues with sync.

i tryed several build in a bid to get my wpa-psk bthomehub 2 working with this blueangle.
got used xdiis on 26th 09 09 ,now it thursday 01/01/09

o2 original 2003 no wpa-psk

6.1 fast but no wpa-psk (wep only) err no secure enoth

6.5 wpa-psk but no active sync

THIS BUILD

Excellent wpa-psk,active sync ,very nice look (simular to my windows7)

BEST BUILD for BLUE Angles (formally o2 xda IIs) SO FAR

i think ill stick to this for a bit.

i have tried a lot of roms so far and i can say for myself, i have never come across a rom that didn't support wpa-psk, because the rom itself does not really have any influence on that as far as i know. from wm2003, wm6 helmi, wm6.1 sun_dream, several wm6.5 xplode and now wm6.5.1 d-two, i was always able to connect to my wi-fi, which always used the same old wpa-psk encrypting. either you really had bad luck in the past, picking the wrong roms, probably from other forums since you are fairly new here, or you made other mistakes.

the moment a rom gets released and the wi-fi wouldn't work properly people would start nagging until it is fixed. still, i'm glad you figured out, how to upgrade and that you found a rom, that you like.

xipkitchen is good

there are lots of tutorial on porting SYS:) But Compaire each folder in my SYS with new SYS, as BA and Hima, Don't have much room, so some things have been removed that BA don't need;)

Sorry my BA's are broken and cost too much to repair, so no more roms from me:(
I'll post my xip_porting kitchen:) It should make it nice and easy to port xip's;)
