i read it can make the video play faster or somthing like that?

overclock is running ones cpu at a higher clock pace then it was made for
it can give better performance in some cases but if video is slow because
the speed of the sdcard is slow overclock will not help there

overclock can heat up the device
it will shoten the batt time
and in worst cases it can damage the device
