The rom is normally as it goes out from the kitchen with all the OEM changes... all the ext changes well not so all... seems to work fine it has at first boot 18.78 MB ram cause in the pics says 13 mb.

mmm the only thing i dislike is "NO COMMMANAGER" :eek:

and coreplayer jumps every 3 seconds.

to take the shots i had it connected to the computer and some programs were running on the hermes, looking at it now its around 18mb free so its just a bit wierd really. could you tell me what file was changed to change the rom date because i looked for it but i couldnt find the right part and if you can tell me how u changed the colours on the comm manager and the options menu bit.

The TXT was deleted cause the txt files in the kitchen works as initflashfiles... i think it could be fixed by doing those file into xml... ask to FCW he is trying to fix that thing.

cause FCW try to implement the pointui to his rom once and the bak files gets deleted and are essential for the plug to work... now the TXT files... is imprtant to know wich files dislikes to the kitchens. ;)

first of all! welcome to xda developers!

You must to read the wiki pages to see if you are SPL unlocked...
if yes... just upgrade to wm6.5
If not... Dont try it!!!....

its better you to read the HSPL link that every chef post first at their rom threads... you need to enter into Bootloader mode and check what does your IPL and SPL say... the n post here you info and you need to tell us what it says on the back behind the batt herm200 100? its sim unlocked? i mean works with all the sim cards?
Us and you needs this info to void brick your phone...

Great Job with the V2!! I would recommend a modified Mobile Shell 3 theme. I've seen one that is pretty cool styled after Titanium. Perhaps one styled after TF3D? :D

Its wmp as audio manager doesn't play the files on my sd card the kitchen im using is the 21222 one straight from the download in josh's kitchen thread i havent thought about mixing as i dont really know where to start from.

hmm well i changed to lzx compression so more space, added oxios hibernate added some diamond stuff on the htc home customiser, moved some of the icons in the start menu around i think thats about it.
i had already jumped v3 beacuse i made alot of changes so went straight to v4 and now v4.1 for the next 2 with pointui and spb as i think its working well as a base

not putting too many programs on the rom as device update is there for people to put theyre own on also using lzx compression on my roms, the free ram is a mystery to me it just settles out nicely on the roms i make.

Another thing I noticed is that the "scotty93" splash screen stays with the phone even if I switch to another WM6.5 ROM. Going back to a 6.1 ROM cleared this up. Odd!

everything is ok for the rom. i like it cox i was fast and stable. but i cant change the keyboard to ezinput. it keep go back to default keyboard. i prefer exinput cox the button of the keypad is much bigger for finger to enter.

I have the same problem.

Also, I tried to install Beejive IM and it didn't work. This usually can be fixed by reinstalling MS Netcfg 3.5 on other 6.5 Roms. However, I Keep getting an installation error that says "close other processes to maximize available memory".

Another is the latest SkyFire browser just quits working upon trying to connect. I've noticed this on other 6.5 Roms too. However it does run ok on some 6.5 Roms.

BTW Que, nice work. When do you think you can get these issues figured out? Thanks and keep up the great work. :)

BTW the MS3 cant change the themes! dunno why its an app issue.

Skyfire is buggy enough now cause it is memmory hog, since V1.0 cause we make ROMS under 15mb PP the browsers runs bad... but it must work fine the older version... just not upgrade to newer.

another problem was it hang once, i soft reset & it restore back to default, all my installed programs & setting gone..

If with a single soft reset your rom has a Hardreset... then you didnt downgrade the stripped... do the process again man.

you just need to flash the stripped at&t to clean your entire Memory... hahaha then you can flash it again! BTW it doesnt affect cause i guess you are cid and sim unlocked... :rolleyes:

open the advanced config... the go to phone settings there must be an option to enable or disable the phone skin... just disable it... mayb it could help till Scotty returns from his holydays!

I've spent the past week learning how to flash my 8525 - and spent this morning trying out a bunch of them.

I like this one a lot, but had a few questions:

1) The SPB is what I flashed, but I was wondering if it was legit - I saw that there was a company that sold the SBP shell program, and I didn't want to use it if I should be buying a copy.

2) Like the others mentioned, the keypad and a bunch of buttons on the Phone app shows up as a white square.

3) Is mobile office not included?

4) I like the txt messenging program that displays things like a conversation, however, it seems to run extremely slow.

I think that is a different device. If it is a hermes (look under the battery) then it will work, if not, it's likely that it will not flash, or turn your unit into a brick.

Well guys im back from my holidays and i will hopefully be able to sort out all your problems.

im going to start working on fixing the dialer keypad as i noticed this wasnt working after i left which is a bit annoying.

I'd like to say thanks to que for trying to help people with their problems.

On install it goes to some auto install. I think it is the custom shell trying to download things.

well thats to do with crc's device update so you'll have to check the thread or website about that, i dont know much about mobile shell 3 as i havent used it very much, i only know that the lifestyle page or w/e it is called can be customised to how you want it to be.

Sounds good, I ended up doing another hard reset and the battery icon popped up.

The dialer buttons are white when calling. Is that what you are refering to?

Also the LED is not turning orange when you miss a call or rcv and txt msg.

Do you have an estimated completion date for fixing the dialer? This is the only bug I have a real issue with.

Does the MS3 rom allow users to upgrade MS3? The rom version is 3.0.0. The current version is 3.0.1.

Great MS3 Rom! The only time I get freezes is when BeeJive is ran the same time VJLUMINOSIII is activated. Then the freezez begin and BeeJive is corrupted and won't work anymore. l have to reflash the ROM again to get rid of the screen freezes and not run VJLUMINOSIII at the same time.

Is there a way to use a Page Pool (PP) tool to increase the page pool size so the latest version of SkyFire 1.012 will run? Or, does the LZ compression prevent you from using a PP tool? Thanks and keep up the great work!

IT is not a PP related issue... I always use 4mb PP and the syfire works fine...

I have the same issue as the poster above. If i install ANY application, the system loses all of the icons under programs and "control panel". I have removed SPB from starting automatically and tries to install the apps with the same result. Everytime this happens I have to hard reset and restore the backup I made when I got everything setup the first time. Really frustrating as SU2U does seem to work correctly for me and I am trying to install Autolock Screen 1.7e and it will not start and the icons disappear. After trying the icons several times, the system stops responding and has to be hard reset. I install the striped rom and have already hard SPL'd. Any idesa?

thanks for the ROM, i'm running 4.4, very slick ROM.

one question for you, I've loaded the ROM onto an i-mate JASJAM and I am finding that only the video telephone button is the only icon is present... all other icons are a white square... any suggestions? can provide a screen snap if necessary?

thats just a minor bug with the dialer, im yet to figure it out as ive been doing other things but it should be a easy fix, hopefully the next time i post ill have some fixes for these roms :D

Odd thing happening for me - I've flashed with the lovely SPB Mobile Shell 3 and I'm having a spot of bother with the Wifi. For some reason if I set it up and connect to my router I can update the weather widget, but if I try and access a website through IE or use Device Update it just fails.

I'm a total noobcake with this flashing rom malarky so apologies if it's a really stupid mistake on my part, but I'm a bit lost.

I am new in these businesses of upgrading wm.... i have a htc Hermes and i loaded a this: Rom V4.3 SPB MS3 Rom by scooty93 from wm5, but i can't load or install windows messenger and skyfire; also, i can"t see the numbers on the dial path or screen when i try to dial a phone number that is not stored in my phone or my sim..... help with these problems please..

I absolutely love the ms3 (spb shell) rom! The only issue I've had with it other than the slightly small amount of program memory (i have a hard time running skyfire browser due to memory issues) is that for some reason the dialpad won't show the buttons. They function as best I can tell but they are blank so that the only thing that shows is the video call button. Any help would be appreciated.

there are a few problems with these roms as i havent had the chance to go over them and sort out all the little problems, i also havent made any new roms recently as there are too many builds being released and i havent had the time to look through and make a good nice rom, sorry guys i might sort out these problems next week it depends how much time i get

I tried several ROMs from the most recent posts, and most of them crashed after some fast fingerplay on the display. :confused:

But this baby keeps running and hs a good response time. :D
Together with the additional 3G cab, it made my day.

Well done, and hopefully the 3G cab file, can be implemented in the next release.
