I just installed Opera Mobile 9.7 beta. When I start Opera, it brings a small white square on square then it freezes. I need to take out battery to reboot my phone.

I have uninstalled and installed again two time, but same result. Any idea what can I do ? I googled around, didn't find any solution, in fact not many people had same problem.

Any way to debug, what's happening in my phone. Other s/w runs fine without any problem.

Try install it online, i.e., connect to the innternet first before install it & the first time launch it.

You need to install openGL drivers in order for it to work. Here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=496528) is the link.

I like Iris because of the status bar. It tells, when host is resolved, request is sent, received reply etc ... You know what's wrong. I use Wifi alot (I do not have unlimited data plan) and have to switch between proxy wifi and non-proxy wifi. Other browser do not give any indication.

I like opera-mini for speed.

I do not use skyfire as I am not able to make it work on work n/w via proxy.

Haven't tried UCweb.

Try Iris also. It's free.

tried everything in this thread (used v3 of OpenGL), but nothing works. I'm still getting freezes when I start Opera Mobile 9.7. The first time I start after switching my phone (HTC TD) on it works fine. If I then close it down and then restart later on, it freezes. Soft Resest... and it works again...

any ideas?
