I have a TYTN II (Tilt) that is running Ultimate X. V7 WWE. I keep this one in my car and use it as a media player and for GPS mostly. I have been searching for some time and have been unsucessful in finding out how to have Landscape as my default or set permanently as my view as the Tilt is mounted sideways. I have found in the Registry where i would believe it would be changed at but im unsure what to set it to. HKLM\system\GDI\Rotation is where i believe i should make a change but not sure how or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

wtf it should lol if it doesn't work your phone is messed up lol or your rom anyway, try installing htc home and see if u can use the flip rotation feature in it in the program area.

As soon as I close settings, after hitting ok on the screen page, it goes back to portrait mode. This has happened with OEM WM5 and WM6 rom on cingular 8525, cingular 8500, Also Tilt 8925, and 8900 running OEM and custom roms currently Ultimate-X.V7 WWE
If I leave settings open in the background it stays in Landscape. But just to make it less of a hassle I was wanting to make it more permanent. I dont need that device in portrait mode. Anyway thanks for the help so far! :)

wow thats wack lol idk try solace 3.1 in my sig. i know it sould work in that as it wont have any other things going on that would stop it from holdin. after u fash the rom do u hard reset it first and are u using any back up software lik spb backup casue that will if u did a full restore put all your reg settigns to what they were. damn i typed like i text sorry lol.

Does yours not flip back to portrait after you close the settings? I was not restoring any backups after flashing. No Hard reset after flash, just a soft resets. Should I try a hard reset once I flash a new rom on?

I would do a hard reset ofter a flash. It removes leftover files from the rom before. What can it hurt. And no it is not supposed to go back after you exit as long as you are clicking ok.
