Hi.
I've searched this forum for a solution to an irritating problem but no luck yet. I'm running Tomal's excellent 8.20 WM6.1 ROM but can't get MMS to work. I've used a variety of versions of ArcsoftMMS but none of them have worked. I've used the Connection Setup wizard to configure my Uni to O2 UK settings. I also tried to setup a 3 sim that I have but still can't get MMS to work. I've manually configured MMS settings for both sims but still no joy.

Can anyone recommend a version of ArcsoftMMS (or any MMS software) that will work with UK sims running Tomal 8.20 or suggest why I'm having problems?

Thanks

Perhaps you could re-flash the ROM and try again... Better still try a better ROM? Tomal had a few since.

Thanks for the reply.

I've reflashed a few times and tried on both my Uni's but still doesn't work. I've tried a few later versions of Tomal's ROMs but I need lots of info on my Today screen & prefer to use my device with a stylus rather than my fingers. Was MMS a recognised problem in Tomal 8.20?

Just wondering if there is any version of Arcsoft that works better on UK sims?

hey saitch76, since 8.2 released long time back I cannot really remember bugs/drawbacks at the moment. But MMS should work if a working version has installed.
Have you tried the MMS cab I made earlier, it suppose to work. You also need a post configuration i.e. server, gateway setup etc. after the installation.

My recommandation is: install 8.5 or 8.9, they are reported working so try if the MMS is working for you. It should at least shed some light whether it is problem with the config or the rom itself.

cheers

Think that I've found the problem: I can now send and receive MMS but not when connected via Activesync. Don't know if anyone else has noticed this. It's not a major problem for me but it'd be nice if there was a solution.

BTW does anyone have a link for Tomal's MMS cab?

Thanks for your support guys.

Did you have 'Allow wireless data connections (such as MMS or Internet Calling) on your device while it's connected to your computer' ticked when AS was initializing? You know, the set up screens you have to go through before the AS synchronizes. If not - disconnect your device, delete the partnership and connect again.

Thanks for the advice. Works on my XP laptop with Activesync 4.5 but not on my Vista x64 desktop with Windows Mobile Device Center...
