Maybe I've found the problem, when you send the sms through that tab, it sends a sms yes, the name of the contact is displayed correctly, BUT the number is wrong. Basically if the numbner is stored with international prefix it sends the sms to f.e. 393481234567 without "+", so the number actually is incorrect. In facts after you send the sms through that tab and you check in posta inviata, you'll notice that the name of the recepient is correct but the number is without the international prefix "+", so it won't be delivered to the correct contact.

@infido, is it possible to fix this also with a cab?

Very good catch!!! Yes! That's the problem!
I hope It can be fixed because the Rom is almost perfect IMO!

in the official rom, when you go to settings->personalize->home tab wallpaper and set a picture wallpaper, you have the picture in your home without the weather animation.
In your rom, when you set a picture wallpaper, you have always the weather animation...apart from you have tapped on the left corner

extract and overwrite files in to your \windows dir for disable weather animation in home tab.
Sms fix is not available (i think is not possible to fix this bug,at moment)

you could make the following changes to your rom?
1 - Edit the file "6bd45c47_manila" because the sentences are out of the tab.
2 - Place Google Maps because the search of the addresses in the contacts will not work without it.
3 - Delete the key "HKLM \ Software \ Microsoft \ Today \ Items \ TouchFLO 3D" because it is useless
4 - Insert the ability to send and receive MMS
5 - Not working "Menu" in the Messages tab inside a contact

Infido, I tried to manage to get a full flash support in opera without youtubeplayer, and actually I coudn't. Can you tell me
1) if you know why the trick of flash libraries for every opera version doesn't work in this rom. (youtube video loads but doesn't play anything, at least with ieactivex.dll, with flash.dll yes but it's unwatchable)
2) how to restore the original setting... opera was calling youtube player when detected a flash video...

Guys, the problem of MMS missing can be solved installing Arcsoft MMS cab.
Go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=574885 .

*EDIT: for a full integration you have to:
1) install Arcsoft MMS 5.2.0.22 VGA.zip in internal memory
2) install Arcsoft MMS 5.2.1.37.cab still in internal memory
3) edit servers in MMS option, setting up your new default server (the others can be deleted)
4) DONE

Softreset,Hold Volume down ,when request press power off button.

hard work for EVO VIII but there is no file power.exe for turn of the device and controller display light

but i have solved reload the original rom an with total commander copy powerexe.exe and the Powerexe.exe.0410.mui in my sd and after put this files in windows on reflashig Evo LP VIII creating a link in start menu' folder
another issue for me is thai is impossible to turn of the device pressing a long top button, not function for me.

problem with igo8 and this rom (evo VII), i have a problem with voices: TTS voices don't work, can use only "normal" voices (never had this problem with previous rom)

Have you try to soft reset?i have not this problem

yes, also tried to restore phone to factory default
(maybe this is the problem? have u changed some
settings so that restoring the phone to factory default
will disable your custom settings?)
still same problem, when i scroll messages
video is slow and not fluid, is like when the video driver
is not fast enough to refresh the page
so it keeps new scrolled message over the previously
displayed one... hope you got the point

ok reinstalled and reloaded pim backup
still same problem with my sms msg
i assume pim backup is the problem atm
maybe too many msgs to handle
even if contacts, appointments, mails etc. are ok

Guys I like Lp EVO 7 so much!!! It's the best, fast, no bug, newer os build 23016 vs 21869... With the fix for mms and footprints it's great!
I don't care an heck about htc messaging, never used, never will...
I think it's better than 8...!

EVO VIII is really fast and stable, no relevant bug for me. Thanks to Infido!
I have just a little question: in wm 6.5 sms characters are too little. In manila-settings i found the option to change font dimension, but selecting biggest size dimension doesn't change. Is there a way to increase font dimension?

Now, I trying new ROM EVO VIII r2, I have found that in the forecasts weather I cannot add the localities that I had before in evo VII. But if on the EVO VII they were present, is not possible to import them also in the VIII without having to make the procedure in order to add to the new locality modifying the database with WeatherDatabaseEditor?

Stò provando la nuova ROM EVO VIII r2,
ho trovato che nelle previsioni meteo non posso aggiungere le località che avevo prima nella evo VII.
Ma se sulla VII erano presenti , non è possibile importarle anche nella VIII senza dover fare la procedura per aggiungere la nuova località

there seems to be a bug in this rom (and in other italian roms with htc sense). Problem is in recieving more than 2 sms: if you recieve 2 sms and don't read them soon, if you recieve some more sms they are lost.
try to send to your number 3 sms, then check if you recieved only 2 sms or all.
if you don't recieve all sms you need this cab, it worked with my diamond2

Grazie Infido per l'ottima rom e dopo 5 giorni di utilizzo volevo far notare alcuni bug:

- Quando arriva un sms e vado a leggere il msg, che si vede come chat, se voglio rispondere clicco su "Toccare qui per rispondere" e non succede nulla finchè dopo 4-5 volte si visualizza la barra lampeggiante per poter finalmente scrivere.

- dopo aver scritto un sms ed averlo inviato, manca la "X" o il tasto "indietro" per tornare al manila.

- manca il tasto "notifica" sulla home quando c'è 1 telefonata non risposta

- Spesso succede che scorrendo il menù velocemente verso il basso il menù scorre di colpo verso su. Succede anche a voi??

- Ho riscontrato anche io il problema di follettoverde: non si ricevono + di 2 sms e quelli ricevuti vengono persi!

Poi ho una domanda.. quando ho acquistato il telefono (con windows 6.1) era veloce e reattivo. Appena uscito l'aggiornamento ufficiale a windows 6.5 ho aggiornato, perdendone in velocità e reattività! Infatti ora il manila va un pò a rilento.. Il telefono è sempre molto + lento del mio dito. Io scorro a meteo e lui è ancora ai messaggi. E' normale? Il 6.1 lo trovavo molto molto + reattivo! Posso risolvere in qualche modo?
