Stop Customizations

with other phones I had (Mogul & Touch) it was possible to stop the customization after a hard reset and then install the packages that you wanted manually (since they were posted from a Rom dump)

Is there anything similar for the Treo Pro?
I have done the soft reset at a few stages and I can't get it to work.

I've been interested in this as well. Sprint puts quite a bit of junk on the CDMA TP. b_hound, how were you able to stop this on the Mogul and Touch? I thought about pulling the battery when the customization piece starts, but did not want to corrupt anything.
