Hello, I just received form ebay a USB 3.5 mm Headphone adapter for my htc diamond like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/USB-11pin-3-5mm-headphone-adapter-for-HTC-Diamond-Touch_W0QQitemZ280316192503QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPDA_ Accessories?hash=item414425a6f7&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65:15|66:2|39:1|293:1|294:50#ht_3347wt_8 81

I connect my 3.5 Philips headphones from my mp3 player onn the adapter and then the adapter on the USB of my HTC Diamond. But nothing happens on the diamond. It doesn't recognize any headphones, the radio wont start.

If I soft reset the phone with the adapter plugged in , it starts in bootloader. Any suggestions??

Sounds like a faulty unit, especially if the HTC ones still work. Maybe you should contact the seller for a replacement.

Would it not have been better buying * this * (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300332030952)? You get what you want and also the ability to make and receive calls.

I bought one of these, from a UK seller on eBay. I just looked for the same picture on the US ebay site. I have no idea how good or bad this seller is or if the price is cheap or expensive.
