hi!..... am a member in pdaviet.net, in my forum are building rom 6.5 for BA!
and this's first rom was built by DHD! It was completed from Xplorer'rom (CE OS 23004) and Sun_dream'rom (21501) :D hehe... --> (This is the F1 generation) - has been test before referral

ROM information:
CE OS 23004 (build 21501.5.0.70)
+ NoRamdisk
+ office mobie 2006 (ppt is missing because no(little) use, you should copy the file ppt.exe in the download folder to copy the \windows\
+ .net CF 2.0 SP2 (some applications need to .net CF to run!)
+ Wktask (Wktask is better than HTC_task manager 2.0)
+ codec for wmplayer (MP4,3gp,avi,…)
+ fixes to font (Rom by Sun_dream (21501) has large font)
+ bootload, touch' speed is faster,
+ alarm tone in Yahoo6
+ replace the icon from the Xplorer' rom
+ Vnkeyboard 1.2 ( if you want to type VietNam language hehe.... )
+ fix SMS coming late (fix completely)
+ touch, sms, phone, gprs, sync, connect --> OK

remove:
+ Chome/titan ( if you want, you can download here (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ijf0gjtj1tt), and reinstall)
+ slide to unlock on wm6.5 ((nặng nề không hiệu quả, 1,8 Mb)
+ HTC_task manager 2.0
+ HTC_enlarge taskbar (0,5 MB)
+ File picture was display when activesync, welcome ... (use once --> delete)
+ input: Vietnamese and English

This rom was fixed from Xplorer and Sun ==> Speed and perfect is equal or better. hehe... but I have removed titan and slide to unlock!

* Note: after the rom up to you must HR. Align the screen. The first screen you will be disappointed, but it will automatically install a fix. then the phone will automatically reboot takes about 15 seconds and all interfaces will be on! :D

Has one tried 'Internet Sharing' with Vista? I don't seem to get to the Internet. I can PING from my Notebook (192.168.0.102) to the PDA (192.168.0.1). NSLOOKUP does not give any results.

maybe it is a plain and simple network issue.
setting up an ad-hoc network means:
the pc's network settings should be:
manual
ip 192.168.0.102 (in your case, i guess 192.168.0.3 would also work)
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.0.1
dns 192.168.0.1
adns 192.168.0.1
wins 192.168.0.1

and the pda's settings would be the same but
ip 192.168.0.1

or, if that doesn't work, try and install htc wifi router (http://www.1800pocketpc.com/2009/07/21/htc-wifi-router-free-wifi-router-for-your-windows-mobile-device.html) and make your device a wireless access point, always easiest way.

Thank you Chef_Tony for your suggestion in using wifi router.

Activating "Internet Sharing" on my BA with this firmware allowed my Mac that is connected to my BA with USB cable to go to the Internet with no problems but not to my Vista Notebook. "Internet Sharing" allows USB and Bluetooth connection, but my notebook don't have Bluetooth for me to try.

Will try the Wifi Router.

Using WMWiFiRouter version 1.52, solved my Internet connectivity problem both for Mac and Windows. I used the 3G to Wifi connection in WMWiFiRouter.

NO, you can't use any of the roms here for the audiovox, since that is a cdma device, the harrier and not the blueangel, and that is the reason you can't use the roms without bricking your device.

Sorry for being such a noob - can anybody explain the steps to do for upgrade from wm6.1 ->6.5?
I have wm6 CE OS 5.2.1938 Build 18538.0.7.0 PV from pdaviet

1) if phone enabled, the PDA allways turn on
if i take it to my handbag, and switched on automatically, the PDA going warm, and drain the battery,
bcause lot of things push the screen, and about every minute get a wake-up event :(
if i downgrade WM6.1, this event didn't exists, work great...
but i like 6.5.. :D
i would use this, but now i can with disabled GSM :(

2) in this build neither work all versions of 4columns CABs :(
in the older build worked...
