Payment via PayPal please - we can always negotiate on the prices either in private or public - note that these parts will be shipping from Miami, Florida, USA to wherever you wish in the world.
Remember that you might not find any of these parts online anywhere else - if the part doesn't work upon arrival, simply ship it back and I'll reimburse you both what you paid for the part and the cost of shipping it back to me - however everything should work fine as it was only the screen (with the bad ribbon) and board giving me an issue - nothing more.
You can look up my history with eBay here: http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=solarleo7 or read the feedback from those who have already bought items from me, thanks!

why not close it up properly and send it for repair?

Because I bought it from eBay I don't have an official purchase receipt, I've called SE and they also won't support me because I have an X1i when the US only supports the X1a.....the warranty is not valid - thats the first thing I tried before attempting to fix it myself :(

It doesn't have to be a SE repair shop you know. I bought it from a Bulgarian retailer and they told me, they would fix anything if something happened.

man get it to a electronic shop... ask them if they know somebody to repair mobs... that's it... don't give it up ;)

hm, that simply isn't true.
I've had mine serviced 3 times, its an X1i and I'm in the US.
I don't have a receipt I got it on ebay, I said it was a gift I got 4 months ago.. and also the phone hasn't been out for a year yet so the warranty can't be expired. well unless you already opened it up ect.
also there are a few people on XDA that do repairs on phones

Thanks for all your feedback guys - I'll try one more time with SE and see if I can make progress - I'll say it was a "gift" this time and use that as the reason for not having a receipt.
ibeQuint - can you let me know what number you called here in the States to get yours serviced? And could you share how much they charged? Thx.

1 866 766 9374 (Toll Free)
1-877-7XPERIA (1-877-797-3742) (X1)
the first one you have to wait through prompts
the second one is just an X1 line and its instant but I'm not sure if its toll free? but I usually just call the second one.
tell them it was a gift and they charged nothing, its a warranty repair aka free.. you just have to ship it there.
just make sure you press the point that it hasn't been out a year and they should repair it no problem. and that it was a gift.

Just to let those of you who sent me PMs with interest in purchasing the entire phone or for parts, I've just sent it today to Sony's repair department - should they not replace/repair it and sent it back to me; I'll post up another comment letting you all know its back on the market.
Note that I will give priority to those interested in the whole device before selling it for individual parts.
Thank you all for your interest and patience - and don't wish me bad luck so that you can get the parts LOL :p

Hello again everyone - well I got my X1 back this past Friday but it wasn't repaired, it figures the service dept found out that it had been opened (by me of course) and listed it as customer damage. That voided the warranty and so it was returned un-repaired.
I've updated the my original post with prices for all the items I was able to identify, so check that out and let me know if you are interested in anything.
Don't forget that I will give priority to those interested in the whole device before selling it for individual parts.

Guys, I just want to make sure you know that the prices I listed below are all negotiable, just make me a sensible offer so that I can consider it. Even though I said I wanted to make $225 for the whole device I am still open to your offers - and be sure to ask me anything you want as well, thanks!

Alright, here's another update to this - I contacted SE for more information as to what the damage is on the phone and its been pinned on corrosion. This means the board is on its way out and the ribbon is definitely the cause of the screen issue.
All the other parts should still be OK - I will start taking the phone apart and posting pictures of it so that you can see what is for sale (and maybe ID some parts that I don't know what they are).
Please let me know if you are still interested in any specific part(s) as I doubt anyone will want to purchase the whole device (unless you want all the parts for yourself).

Hey, I think you might just need the lower part of the housing and not the whole housing
- 1 Keyboard Housing ONLY (OEM) - USD $25

Can I ask what it is that is wrong with your housing right now? Maybe I can help you narrow down which option is best, thanks.

oh I see, in this case you would need the complete housing - i totally misread your first question. The part I had told you about is only the silver area surrounding the keyboard. If you're interested, send me your full shipping address and paypal e-mail in a private message so that I can invoice you, however I will tell you that somebody else is already interested in the complete housing as well.

I can send you the main board (sans the camera module) for $20 (+ shipping) to Egypt since I don't know where the antenna assembly is.
I have to point out that the reason the phone wasn't repaired by Sony was because they found corrosion on the main board; which was probably due to my handling of the board when I first opened the case to replace the housing.
There was no water damage; otherwise all of the other parts I've sold would have also been damaged and a mob of angry moders would have surely banned me by now :)
If you're interested, just say the word and I'll prep to ship this out ASAP, thanks!
