Change the shell file? Can u be more specific?

in \sys\23009\shared\common\ there is a file that contains alot of .dlls and images for battery icons missed call icons ect. there are files in there that arent working so just replace it with one from another build eg 23008. if you dont the rom wll boot but cabs and active sync wont work

how do text messages work for you? im having issues getting the compose sms screen to work. I think its controled by tmail.exe but ive not come up with a fix yet maybe theres more to it than that.

This sucks because besides that mail problem this build was the best performer for me.

I'm really fustrated with this ervius kitchen though.. I had a working 21921 build that booted fine I didn't change a single thing and now when I cook a 21921 it wont boot anymore...ughh so back to the old kitchen once more..

Already using the entire shell/ folder from 21921 to fix the other problem so unfortunatly that doesn't fix the txt/email etc problem.

Just to let everyone know i now have a fully working 23009 build. To get the sms\mms to work properly i had to replace all the redist redist dpi and redist lang files. i used the ones from the 23004 build. I will upload the working sys tomorrow and update the 1st post for those who are unsure. Again thanks to Tai for pointing me in the right direction.

Erivus? Its a great tool. looks quite complicated at first but its easy to get used to it just splits things up a bit in the sys and xip. Other than that its just like joshes kitchen but with whats in a way a better version of build os. The 23009 build here is set up for it to just be dropped in although you will need the device specific part of the xip and now we have worked out how to fix its problems its a nice stable build. ive been running whats hopefully my next titanium release for just over 24 hours now with no problems even though ive added a hell of a lot to it. The .NBH files about 6mb more than I normally have it and ive still got about 18-19mb ram. Only thing I might change is the titanium theme. The guy who makes the one im using cant work out why the notification icons get cut off but I really like the theme and other than that the only other one i like tai is using.

the first numbers here

CE OS 5.2.23008 (Build 23008.5.3.0)

Black are the SYS!

Thats the files I'm using also and I used files from 21728 and it will show 21728 in the about also so they must be related to build #..

I think I'm done with this ROM cooking crap as its just too time consuming and frankly at least when it comes to the hermes I don't think things are shared that much which is unfortunate but whatever. I mean if someone has a working 23009 build then share it already thats what these forums are suppose to be about.

Scotty93

yea lmao when ive sorted my kitchen out and this build no. problem im gonna put the whole kitchen on my rom thread and upload it, with a couple of instructions as its a bit diff so people know they can use the old kitchen but with the new builds and you can select the builds. But first im gonna try 23007 sys and if that works ill just get a new 23009 sys without my editing and see what happens with that one.

sad to hear your thinking about stopping cooking tho but i do agree it is v time consuming

edit: used 23007 sys and xip the xip has been hexed to show 23006 i think i dont really know but i think it definatly has something to do with the redist files, another thing i found with it is in the taskbar the clock will show then it will show the battery it switches between the two which is quite wierd

lol just like mine. I have 3 kitchens set up. 1 for my home edition, 1 for titanium and one for my stock like roms. each one has the builds 21921 21925 23001 23004 23007 23008 and 23009.
