View Full Version : How to change the colour of a disappearing ok/close in a dialog?

Since I changed some colours with UI Tweaker, the ok/close in dialog boxes disappeared. Probably because the ok/close is black on a black background. Maybe it was changed when I selected Black Bars for taskbar and softkeys. After a soft reset, it is visible a few times and then it always disappears again. This never happens with the ok/close in the top task bar, only in windows like in the attached image.

Please see the attached screen capture where there should be an ok/close button on the top right of the dialog to close QuickClear (red arrow).

After a long search on the forum and Google, I didn't find any solution yet.

I am using a Mio A201 with WM 5.

Could you please help with:

- the location and name I have to search for in UI Tweaker to change this colour?

- the registry key to change it?

- the change to make in the theme or elsewhere?

Thanks for your help.

THe quick way to do this is to change the theme on settings/today.

This should then make the ok visible. The UI tweek settings only apply to the theme that you were using it on when you changed the settings.... thats how i got round it anyway when i got carried away and turned all text black on black backgrounds :)

Changing the theme was not enough, I also had to delete the registry entries under

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\"name of theme".tsk

and then reload the theme, then it was ok.

Thanks very much for your help.
