Got a choice in the next month for a phone upgrade at work. Right now I have a htc diamond. I find the screen a bit small and irritating to type on. I've used an iphone and can type very fast with both thumbs, the diamond however I struggle with and need to take my time or use the stylus. That is one plus for the touch HD (bigger screen)
I do program in c# so I can do stuff for win mobile too (hardly really made anything worth bragging about though). I am however willing to learn C or what ever language you use on an android, just for the hell of it.
What I like about the android is it seems like it will be getting a lot more games/random apps kinda like the iphone has. To me that is a plus and one of the reason's I fancy an android phone. Games on the diamond are basically sim city, age of empires, that defence game and a few other crappy ones.
What are peoples opinions on the two phones in question. Basically I'm after this which both phones pretty much cover:
Bgger screen than my diamond (but without a keyboard)
Something that will amuse with me with new games/toys every so often.
Built in gps (both have it)
Sat nav (not sure whats available for the android apart from google maps, will look soon)
Sync emails/contacts/calendar to my exchange server at work
