I am really unhappy. Whatever i try, i cant get mtty to work. I run W7-64 bits, i installed the drivers, and the watermark proggy. Restarted my pc, and all went well... But, as soon as i try to install the drivers for USB, it keeps coming up with non-signed drivers message, and the installation of the driver fails.
but then i can not get my phone connected to the mobile center anymore either, as the drivers are incorrect....

what should i do? i want to use mtty, but, whatever i try, no succes.... is there another way to use mtty?

Good afternoon,
I tried to follow your tutorial but I forgot a very important step. I thought I had done the update of the Hard-SPL but I did not. Now my phone hangs on startup. It goes into bootloader mode but I can not install Hard-SPL or a new ROM.

I can revive the phone?

Thank you,
Sorry for the bad English

If you have Windows 7 Professional or better & are therefore entitled to use WIndows XP mode, see my post (#744) about using MTTY & flashing from within the Virtual PC VM

TO THE OP ONLY:
before I even go deep, could you please clarify why one would need any 'Activesync' drivers for mtty? Why doesn't the win7 signed drivers work? and what is a 'remove watermark' tool and why the fancy name for a simple tool to remove a auto-driver installation which can be done with a built in tool called 'gpedit'?

This is utterly confusing to me.
I'm not voting for this not being non-sticky, but this definitely needs some serious editing in the first post itself.

So i tried the MTTY method to stop my phone from always hard resetting. While carrying out the procedures, i got different outputs in MTTY, but i still carried out the whole process. When i tried to flash from internal storage, my diamond says theres no image file. I know for a fact there is an image file as i've always been flashing from internal storage. So right now, i have no clue how to fix my diamond. Is it salvagable or is it dead?

what exactly does this mean?

NOTE TO ALL:

This thread has been runing so long, and it fully works.

if people are having problems it is a problem with the thing operating your Computer, not this process.

Just incase you were wondering why i have not been answering posts.

a: if its been answered im not answering again
b: if it is a ridiculous question i am not answering
c: if it can be found in the thread i am not answering.

Personally i wish i had never opened this thread and kept this for myself. I have been running this for years and never had an issue, yet the longer this thread runs the more people have problems.

There seems to be a negative relationship between time/ability to read and follow instructions/logic.

(for those who cannot work that out it means the long this thread is open the lees people read)

I guess it goes to show what is happening to people!

Sorry you feel that way. I definitely appreciate the work you've done in this thread. Although I didn't quite understand everything, I was able to muddle through it just fine. Thanks for everything!

I've had previous experiences flashing several WinMo phones with official and cooked ROMs in the past, but I have to tell you that the HTC Touch Diamond is by far the most complicated. I've never heard of Hard-SPLs or MTTYs before yesterday. The amount of information in the forums is massive, and so much of it is outdated. Searches turn up hundreds of results, and finding an answer is next to impossible. These sticky topics are a lifesaver.

As a n00b to the whole Diamond scene, I found a few of your instructions slightly cryptic. Where an experienced user would know exactly what you're talking about, I had to take a few guesses. Not being critical... I just think you have forgotten how a n00b thinks at first. ;)

In Post #2:
2: Connect Device to PC via Active Sync, Once Connected Uncheck USB Connections,DISCONNECT DEVICE then Reboot Computer

Although it was simple to uncheck USB connections on both the PC and the Phone, just wondering which one I was supposed to Uncheck USB connections on?

In Post #3 and #4:
Run mtty1.42.exe, You will se a box showing "COM1" from this list select "USB" - If USB isn't in the list, something has gone wrong in the "Driver Installation" Section of POST 1

Can you also just add "or you will have to reboot Windows using the F8 method to boot your PC without Digital Driver Signature Enforcement"?

I know that these are all answered answered in this thread, but those are just 2 of the times when I looked at the instructions and just went "huh?" ;)

Thanks again for the sticky post!

Extreme apologies if I sound stupid here. I wanted this clarity before I even attempt to install drivers for 'activesync' or anything which requires windows signed drivers be overriden (which essentially means I have no clue what i'm doing which essentially puts me in a bad shape). Although, thanks for your efforts :)

I am now having a serious problem, I have followed all the instructions above, and I think this is where it went wrong

Immediately DISCONNECT your device and hold "Vol Down and Back" (Back = Small Arrow above "End Call" Button) to Initiate ROM Flash

once I typed task 8, disconnect it, then press and hold vol down and back, the device just freezed at TOUCH DIAMOND, but not flashing the rom, and I have tried soft reset and hard reset (down + circle + reset, then up and up ) it, the problem is still there.

So how to fix it please?

I have done HardSPL btw, and the driver installed

first of all don't worry ;-)

I had exactly the same issue this morning and I solved/unlocked the phone only by executing the ROM update from PC.
The HTC ROM update utility (I used the last official ITA ROM) states soon after execution that ActiveSync is required but I ignored all the messages that followed the execution because of Hard SPL already installed on my device... Obviously there wasn't any ActiveSync connection during the update but after the confirmations a progress bar appeared on the phone display... ;-)
So I suggest to set the phone in USB mode (as if You are going to use MTTY) and then to execute the ROM utility update in place of MTTY...
The update from PC requires obviously more time (many minutes) than the one spent by updating from internal storage.
Let us know if You find other troubles ;-)

Follow this procedure for FLASHING YOUR ROM FROM INTERNAL STORAGE AFTER MTTY

Before you start grab: mtty1.42.zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=208457&stc=1&d=1248437219)

AND ENSURE YOU HAVE HARD-SPL ON YOU DEVICE!!

Procedure:

1: Download a ROM of your Choice, RENAME the *.nbh for your ROM to: DIAMIMG.nbh

2: Copy DIAMIMG.nbh to the "Internal Storage" of your Device.

3: Bring device into bootloader (Reset + Hold Vol Down), this will show the Red, Blue, Green screen showing "Serial" - Connect device in bootloader mode to USB, the word "Serial" will change to "USB"

4: Run mtty1.42.exe, You will se a box showing "COM1" from this list select "USB" - If USB isn't in the list, something has gone wrong in the "Driver Installation" Section of POST 1

5: Leave default parameters, (8 bits / Flow Control NONE / Stop bits 1 / Parity None / Local Echo No) and Click OK

6: Run following commands:

6a: Press enter first to get prompt (Will Show as EITHER USB> or CMD> - Personally Mine Showed CMD>)

---------------------
MTTY OUTPUT:
---------------------
CMD>
---------------------

6b: type "set 14 0" without the quotes to tell bootloader to boot the OS after reset:

---------------------
MTTY OUTPUT:
---------------------
CMD>set 14 0
HTCST ÚÈHTCEUSB>
---------------------

6c: type "task 29" to get your device formatted:

---------------------
MTTY OUTPUT:
---------------------
Cmd>task 29
Format BINFS start
Fill RSVD information for block 288 to 321
CE start sector=0x14, total sector of CE and TFAT=0x14
CE start start block=321, total block=1727
ERASE block 1337 FAIL !!!
Write 0xFF start page=0x5040, total page=0x1AFC0
Format BINFS end

Cmd>
---------------------

6d: type "task 8" to ask your device reboot:

---------------------
MTTY OUTPUT:
---------------------
Cmd>task 8

Cmd>
---------------------

7: Immediately DISCONNECT your device and hold "Vol Down and Back" (Back = Small Arrow above "End Call" Button) to Initiate ROM Flash

8: After ROM flash Hard-reset (Pen Reset, then Press and Hold Vol Down and Circle) again, on completion "Press Vol Up To Boot" Is displayed, press "Vol Up" and allow the ROM to boot.

for some reason, i am just not getting the same output from Mitty...especially the last step...

Cmd>set 14 0
HTCST ÚÈÒHTCE
Cmd>task 29
Format BINFS start
Fill RSVD information for block 288 to 321
CE start sector=0x14, total sector of CE and TFAT=0x14
CE start start block=321, total block=1727
ERASE block 1670 FAIL !!!
Write 0xFF start page=0x5040, total page=0x1AFC0
Format BINFS end

Cmd>task 8

Hi MysticGenius,
your guide is clear and simple but... on my diamond I had a problem. At the end of procedure (after task 8) the prompt doesn't show the line "CMD" another time but the phone reboot anyway. I tried to press vol down+back but nothing happened, on the phone screen there is only the HTC Diamond logo. I've been able to reflash my previous ROM but with the old problems... I'm using a Windows XP, copied DIAMIMG.nbh in internal storage ecc.. like your guide. Everything seems work fine until the last step. Can you help me?

P.S. Sorry for my english....:p

Hey, if you search for this problem in this thread, you will find an answer for this question, as I did. I had exactly the same problem. The last CMD> didn't show up and nothing happened. This meant, that the old rom was already removed, but the new rom didn't start to flash from the internal memory. The solution for this problem is the following: Do the Mtty 'till the point where the last CMD> does not show up. Disconnect the USB connection. Then bring your device into bootloader (VolDown+Restart). Connect the device to the PC via USB. Start the usual CustumRUU.exe of your new ROM and flash the new ROM as usual. You will see, that there ist no old ROM, which means, that the old ROM was removed by MTTY. That's it.

after mtty (the whole format procedure) i forgot to flash the rom from the internal storage.I FORGOT TO FOLLOW THIS STEP AND INSTEAD I FOLLOWED THE LAST STEP FORMATTING ALSO THE INTERNAL STORAGE.so now there is NOTHING TO BOOT.after searching the net i found no answer.

i feel desperate..i hope there is a way somehow to flash a rom so PLEASE IF SOMEBODY KNOWS SOMETHING post a reply!!!!!!

[I THOUGHT THAT WHEN IN BOOTLOAD MENU WITHOUT FIRSTLY ESTABLISHING AN ACTIVE SYNC CONNECTION THERE IS NO WAY TO FLASH A ROM

There is a need to "clean" the Radio region, from time to time?
I flushed many Radios, because the Radio drain the battery to quickly.
So I say, maybe if I clean the Radio it can help me.

I always flashed rom on my diamond without problem but this time I'm not able to run mtty. I followed this guide till when I run mtty: when I give the command "set 14 0" (or any other command) it gives me no response, just get the cmd> prompt. Please help! I did the format but the phone is not picking up my ROM on the internal storage! How do I get to install the ROM now? I have tried both ways from Internal Storage and Windows itself both are not working! Win7 64 keeps on saying it cant detect information about my phone. Can anyone help please?

*edit* Just looked at my rename file and I see a space where there shouldnt be hence the reason why its not picking up my nbh file on the storage memory...

*edit 2* Got it working it seems, needed to replace the x64 driver with the updated windows one. Fingers crossed...

Hi MysticGenius...
i wanted to say that this is a very detailed Tut..
but.. i think you should add this two things....
Warning to be ready to DISCONNECT after task 8

7: Immediately DISCONNECT your device and hold "Vol Down and Back" (Back = Small Arrow above "End Call" Button) to Initiate ROM Flash

And to add that user should click on Upgrade OS when the menu come up..

8: After ROM flash Hard-reset (Pen Reset, then Press and Hold Vol Down and Circle) again, on completion "Press Vol Up To Boot" Is displayed, press "Vol Up" and allow the ROM to boot.

add to press Vol Up when asking to restore to manifactor setting

and add that the new rom will be show after a few minute...
cos it's take time for first start

thanks mate!
sorry for my bad english!

Please read carefully anything that Mystic wrote...
as you can see..
there is two kind of ways to work with Mtty..
one is from Internal Storage and the other is from the main memory of the Diamond...
just do what you see in Post 1-3 and that will be enough...

hi i have completed the first steps of the Driver Installation

1: Run the Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider and select “ENABLE TEST MODE” and Press Next
2: There will be a warning to REBOOT, Press “OK”
3: Go Back to Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider Select “Exit” then Click “Next”
4: Run the “Remove Watermark V0.8” for you OS type (x64 or x84)
5: In the Command Window type “Y” and wait for the process to complete
6: Once complete REBOOT your system and begin the driver install

successful!!

Then i went on with these:

1: Download the relevant drivers for your system attached to this post: these work for both Vista and Win7, all you have to choose is x86 or x64

EDIT: It has been found that with different versions of Windows 7 x64 need different Active Sync Drivers... If you are using Windows x64 please try x64 AS Drivers Win 7 Tested & Working.zip FIRST!!!

2: Connect Device to PC via Active Sync, Once Connected Uncheck USB Connections,DISCONNECT DEVICE then Reboot Computer

3: Bring device into bootloader (Reset + Hold Vol Down), This will show the Red, Blue, Green screen showing "Serial" - Once Computer booted, connect device in bootloader mode to USB, the word "Serial" will change to "USB"
4.
5.
6.
.....

But just to 10.
If i want to install the Driver it says:
"windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device...windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. ..."

And the first steps with the "Driver Signature Enforcement Overrider" were realy done successfully!
The Driverdate is the right: 01.09.2003
But in the Device-Manager my phone has a yellow sign!

I have WIn 7 x64 and i have tried it with both drivers but nothing helps!
Do u have any idea what the problem is?!

PS:
"2: Connect Device to PC via Active Sync, Once Connected Uncheck USB Connections,DISCONNECT DEVICE then Reboot Computer"
- what is ment with Uncheck? in win on the right bottom in the tray right klick -> disconnect HTC Device ?!?!
- waht ist ment with DISCONNECT DEVICE? Just put out the cable or shall i disable in the device-manager?!

if it is a GENUINE problem post it and I will help!

Hi! I hope you can help me. I have an HTC Diamond. After some minutes using it, it stops opening applications (any one, only already opened apps keep running), with the message: "cannot open critical component is either missing or cannot start because program memory is unavailable"

This happens with many roms. Also, mtty task29 shows no error.
Device hangs a lot with not reason.

Ok, tried to use MTTY first time and kept giving me an error untill i figured out i had to chose com3.

Then it opened a blank page but pressing enter did not have any effect, nor typing any of the commands and then pressing enter.

I am running vista and already have connection drivers since I connect fine to Windows Mobile Device Center.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

So the Problem of mine above is solved!
But now i hand on this step:

"6d: type "task 8" to ask your device reboot:

---------------------
MTTY OUTPUT:
---------------------
Cmd>task 8

Cmd>
---------------------"

i type in task 8 but the MTTY doesnt answer the last "Cmd>". The device reboots ... i disconnect it and press VOL DOWN and the BACK ARROW above the "end-call-button" -> nothing happens. The device just show a blackscreen with white "Touch Diamond".
PLease help me!

I really would like to thanks for this thread!
I was having a hard time with my Diamond hard reseting all the time, I followed the guide and did everything on the first try. Now my phone is perfectly!

The only thing that was a little different for me is that instead of 2003, my driver date showed 2004.

12: When you get back to "Driver Properties" check driver version. If the "Driver Date" has changed from 2nd step (2003 instead of 2007), the installation has been a success:

Thank you,

Today I was in the calendar app when the phone froze. No response from any button, screen stuck on. Phone got very very hot after about 10 mins. I pulled the battery. After power on, phone would get stuck at Touch Diamond Screen with red text.

I was actually running the latest Telus stock rom at the time this happened.

Tried Power-Vol Down-Action-Reset to access Hard Reset since I couldn't get into WinMo to Clear Storage. Hard Reset completes but still stuck at touch diamond screen.

Tried to flash to different rom, flashes ok in bootloader via usb but still sticks at touch diamond screen. Even flashing back to stock rom produces the same result.

I have followed this guide exactly with no problems after trying all of the above. I was able to complete all the tasks, formating the NAND, flashing, hard reset after the flash.

I am STILL stuck at the Touch Diamond screen...

Guys, I'm having a problem - I flashed a new ROM and everything works just fine, except that I can't copy anything to the Internal Storage. I get a stupid little error, no matter if I try to connect via Sync Center [Win7] or the HDD-mode.

Any ideas? Do you think running MTTY could help? Sort of a hassel since I'm new at this and I'm running Win7 x64 which seems a bit more restrictive about the driver...

I flashed about 50 times, not using mtty and without any trouble. I was always laughing when reading about mtty. Have experienced a bad flash, I was completely desperate, spent days without phone, and then suddenly I saw the light: mtty!
So thanks a lot, I don't understand what I've done exactly when following your instructions, but my phone is working again!

Followed this steps 2 times before (while ago) succesfully. But now it just wont work?

Just tried your steps today 3 times again and now the update works...in total 10 times the same steps (yesterday 7 tries ;-) )...
Thanks for your great guide!

Hi guys,

I have the same problem as gogu12002.

After using the MTTY program (for HTC Diamond) with the guide at the beginning of this thread and after reset, the device is just booting into the black screen with the "HTC Diamond” logo and nothing more (the red data on the lower right is NOT shown).
As already described, ActiveSync does not connect to the phone any more -.-

In my case I can boot into the bootloader and I can do a hard reset. But reseting to manufacturing status doesn't change anything.

Some more Information:
MTTY was done by PC (with USB)
I CAN still flash the HSLP (tried OliNex and Bosna)
Also the "MTTY steps" can be done
Just flashing the ROM (original, cooked, whatever) is not possible (262 Connection Error).

Any suggestions? ;-)
Thanks for your time and help!
daniel

EDIT:
sry^^
I have windows xp
ActiveSync 4.5
While doing the MTTY stuff I have (as described in the tut) to deactivate sync with USB. Afterwards I tried both. To activate ActiveSync again, and to not activate again. Both doesn't work -.-

Hi people, I have a question, and I can not find the answer to it. I come from the X1 part of this great forum, and I would like to ask if I can use the program task29, that I use for the X1 for the HTC Diamond.

It is much easier, as all we need to do is sync the device, execute tast29.exe and follow the instructions on the PC.

When the device reboots, it is completelly formated.

Is there anything like this for HTC Diamond, or can I use X1 on this phone?

Thank you all in advance for all your help.

I've read through a lot of the thread but can't seem to find a definitive solution to the issue of the drivers still not installing due to unsigned drivers? Using Win7 x64 and booted using the relevant boot mode from F8 menu. Drivers still wouldn't install at boot up so obviously got no response from mtty when entering commands. The USB option still appeared though.

I've flashed without mtty and am not getting any soft/hard resets. However I'm still keen to get mtty working in the hope that it might make the ROM run smoother?

Dear all,
Need help as I am facing problem after reflush my phone today.
I have previous tried mtty my phone without problem.

1) My diamond behave abnormally. Upon restart, I failed to key in the password and after 3 attempts ( I am sure is correct password), my phone was flush :(
2) I tried to load my diamond OS back to normal (From internal storage diamimg.nbh) but still facing problem
3) I then use mtty, follow steps in thread 1, restart the phone.
4) Tried to flush the phone from internal storage but failed.
5) I tried flushing my phone with the supplied CustomRUU.exe, Rom flush successfully.
6) The problem now is, I noticed my internal 4GB storage is gone. I tried reflush but the result remains the same.

Is there any steps which I missed causing me to lost my 4GB internal storage?
I tried go to setting\systems\memory, it states : Total storage card memory : Not installed

on Flashing from Internal Storage, step no 7 ;

7: Immediately DISCONNECT your device and hold "Vol Down and Back" (Back = Small Arrow above "End Call" Button) to Initiate ROM Flash

DISCONNECT here, is it just by unplug the usb cable immediately, or firstly do the "Safely Remove Device" from the icon on taskbar, like i used to do when i want to remove my usb flashdisk?

thanks for the answer :)

Hi there,

I've successfully used MTTY to flash new ROMs on my diamond many times, but this time I've done a mistake. I did a typing error on the name of the image file. I called it 'diaming.nbh' instead of 'diamimg.nbh'.

Without realising my mistake I copied it over to the insternal storage, went into the bootloader and ran through the MTTY commands:

set 14 0
task 29
task 8

But of course, when it comes back round into the bootloader (pressing VolDown and <- buttons), it says "No image file!". I'm a bit stuck here now, because I can't reload the previous ROM because the disk has been formatted by MTTY, and I can't rename the file on my internal storage to 'diamimg.nbh' because I need an OS to do that.

Now, is there ANYTHING I can do to get around this? Is there a way of having MTTY tell the phone to look for an image file called 'diaming.nbh' instead of 'diamimg.nbh'?

I'm desperate.

Thanks.

I don't think it's possible to use RUU from the bootloader, unless someone known any different.

As u guys have helped me so often here's my two cents:

When you are asked for a command in MTTY don't copy paste (for example: Set 14 0). This will not always work and you will see only a CMD> as a response.

Welcome Mysticgenius!
(Sorry my Englis!)
Do you have a problem you've never seen! The HSPL-1.93_Olinex, MTTY program was run, but neither IS nor from a PC is not working well with flash.
I only know where you updated the. NBH file is small (rom and radio rom) if large in size as more than 74-76MB depending on the size of x% then stops at the flash! Also the original rom is not updated because of the large! Please help if you have an idea!

But at the end, after task 8, my device is trying to restart, but on the diplay remains the writing : "Touch DIAMOND" and the device can't reboot. I tried to do an hard reset but the problem persists.
Then I have made a mistake: I have reset Movinand.
What can I do to solve my problem?
Thank you for answering

Andrea

P.S. Sorry for my bad english

Hey guys, I solved the problem using RUU. I discovered that RUU doesn't need "Windows Mobile Device center" connection. I had turned on my device in boot loader mode, than I link it with my PC. I launched RUU and the flash was done.

Thanks to all, and expecially to DjMaryuslive for his availability.

Have a good day

Hi all. I have a real serious problem... I've done all is written in your posts, but when I give the comand "task 8" and disconnect the phone, after I hold vol down and the back-arrow, the device shows me a strange message abuot usb trigger, something like "retry connect USB"... now, my diamond doesn't not work anymore and I'm feeling so stupid because I think I've made a mistake in following your guide. What can I do? Can I re-install a rom even if there is no OS on my device? Please, give me an answer. Sorry for my bad english. Thank you so much.

Ok, I have re-installed windows mobile on my diamond. I cannot understand what's the matter with this guide. When I put the cmd "set 14 0", it shows me a message different from the yours one. Maybe the problem is this. How can I do? I just want to try a cooked rom, but it seems realle impossible! Installing linux was actually easier . Please tell me what's wrong... thank you!

Your tutorial helped saved my Topaz. The Service Center refused to flashed official ROM since my device is HardSPL'ed.

Thank you:cool:

PS Maybe you should add to the first post that this is for Topaz too.

Hi, Just today I have the same problem,

After typing any command from this thread, nothing happens, I just get the same CMD> again. But if I type random stuff I get "Command error !!!" that means that it recognizes the commands, but doesn't execute them.

I'm using Windows Vista x86 and the same phone

Waiting for the rescue  ;)

There was nothing wrong with my driver installation (i had successful reports from the c omputer during installation), what simply happened was that the computer didnt recognise any USB devices connected when it rebooted. Removed and then re-inserted the USB cable, restarted the program and then the USB setting was visible. Might want to edit that incase of people blaming bad downloads or bad driver files on the servers.

THANK YOU! Lots of loove!

Had a error code 10 as well, which someone suggested to solve in the same way! Jus replug the USB! Also had a problem with the unsigned driver bleh which was solved by F8 booting, couldnt find that very clearly in the instructions tho?

Hi All!
Maybe someone can help me. I'm not a newbee to MTTY, am running it on two machines since years now. I had initially problems installing it, by this time, the F8-hint was not in the how-to...
The two machines, that run MTTY well, are Win7-64 machines.

Now I'm trying since hours to get it run on my Win7-x86 Netbook.
I did all the steps (with and w/o disabling signature thing in F8) - I can't manage to install the x86 (YES, I picked the rights ones out of the first posts) driver.

It says "Failure during installation, Platform not suported" (something like that, I have a swiss-german Win7 version)
Afterwards the driver is either NOT at all installed OR once it showed a different driver date, but it was 2004, not 2003 (as it is under x64). It seems to me to be a signed driver for x86, right?
I also tried to delete the 2007 driver completely and tried it without internet connection to avoid automatic loading from there - same problem "platform not supported")
NOW, I can't get ANY connection anymore, also not with other running WM6.5 devices...

Anyone any idea? Or - better - someone had the same situation and solved it?

Thank you very much in advance and with kind regards from Switzerland

Christoph

PS: Thanks for this thread!! Would it be good to have a kind of "trouble shooting & their solutions collection" in one of the first posts?

***** EDIT (same day) *****
After today's MS Patch Day there are differences.

Above situation happened AFTER SP1 installation. As I see now, 2 weeks later, that the behavior strongly changed, maybe there was a bug there?
BUT... still the same problem, but differences:

1. In Device Manager, it is not anymore called "mobile devices", but "portable devices"
2. Trying to follow the steps of driver installation of x86 drivers as stated in the first posts, I get the CLEAR message, that the drivers downloaded as x86 drivers are NOT 32-bit drivers.
Can anyone send me his drivers that actually RUM after SP1 installation (means "that STILL run")?

Greetz from Switzerland

I finally found out what was happening. It seems that you can't copy the command from the forum. you need to write it down yourself. (so silly :D ) Otherwise it wont work. And I run the program as administrator. And it finally worked. :) Hope it helps someone

This is on assumption that you were trying to flash from internal storage:
perss reset with stylus with "Vol Down and Back" buttons pressed and follow instructions.
This would not have happend if you followed the instructions well but anyway.......nothing to worry........just do as above mentioned and let me know how it goes.

thx for the quick reply ... but another problem ... when i'm pressing volume down+back+reset with stylus .. it notthing happens ... is that possible the little reset button is dead? :/

reset button do nothing .. with any button combination
power + volume down is working
volume down + back working too

any other idea?

bootloader still working .. tried to flash rom via USB .. after mtty ... same thing .. it restarts ... and stuck at 0%

is hardspl version wrong? .. or that it isn't unsigned?
thx

I'm a complet idiot :D ... a noOb :D .... which button i'd pressed with the stylus wasn't "reset" there was anything else, next to the usb connection pin ...
the reset button is in the corner :D

anyway .. i think my problem solved ... i'd flashed Unsigned hardspl 1.4 from hardspl 1.3 ... and now ... the rom flashing is working ... not stuck at 0%

i hope it will be good ...
thx a lot, and the quick reply :)

SORRY GUYS...ITS WORKING PROPERLY..WAS OVER LOOKING A SIMPLE STEP..
THANK U GUYS..

I was trying to install custom ROM on my Diamond and now, all i am seeing the standard Touch Diamond black screen and nothing beyond that.

Here are the steps which i followed:

1. Downloaded HARD SPL from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=416211 and ran ROMUpdateUtility.exe on the phone. It was successfull

2. Then downloaded custom Radio 1.09.25.23 and installed on the phone jst as the previous step. Even that was successful.

3. Downloaded MTTY from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=540290 and tried flashing from USB (post #4).

3.1 in the bootloader, selected USB and left every other configuration like original.
3.2 in the cmd :

--------------------------
Cmd>set 14 0
HTCST ÚÈÒHTCE
--------------------------

then,
--------------------------
Cmd>task 29
Format BINFS start
Fill RSVD information for block 288 to 321
CE start sector=0x14, total sector of CE and TFAT=0x14
CE start start block=321, total block=1727
ERASE block 75 FAIL !!!
ERASE block 123 FAIL !!!
ERASE block 138 FAIL !!!
ERASE block 1075 FAIL !!!
ERASE block 1667 FAIL !!!
Write 0xFF start page=0x5040, total page=0x1AFC0
Format BINFS end
------------------------------

then,
---------------------
Cmd>task 8
Cmd>
---------------------
disconencted my device and held the vol down key and was navigated to the bootloader screen with USB connection.

4. dowloaded 'Energy' ROM from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=517300
and then tried running it.. but then the custom RUU says that cant connect.

Now i am really worried..did i brick my cell? is there any way to come out of this??

Loads of thanks in advance..
