WM Alternatives?

Hello all, I've flashed my Asus P320 to hdubli's cool WM 6.5 ROM. Of course, before this, I've tried the SPB Shell, PointUI, etc., but what I REALLY want, is to completely get RID of Windows. Replace the kernel, if I have to, and change my OS. To maybe, a Linux based system, or even the promising Google Android.

Is there any way I could do this?

Linux? Well, I like the terminal, I can find my way around with it. I'm typing this with my Ubuntu Jaunty, with KDE :)
I'm more than comfortable with Linux.

Edit: Oh yeah, do Local Privilege Escalation Exploits count as well? ;)
