hi!

i have tried rooting my austrian (hutchinson 3) htc magic.
if i press back+power i come to the fastboot menu (with the skaters)
here is my data that shown by fastboot:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2005 (SAPP10000)
CPLD-12
RADIO-3.22.20.17

i am not sure if i am rooted now.

1) how can i see if my phone is rooted correctly?

2) what do i have to do now if i would like to use the jf1.51 rom from jesusfreke?

i have tried to install the image with "update.zip" after booting a recovery image with a menu by applying update.zip
boot after that the image does not boot and the only thing is "HTC Magic" shown on the display.
i read lots of guides, but could not find the right solution.

so what can i do now?

adb works fine when the phone is running.

thx

Yep. I had the same problem. I thought i broke my device. It did not want to boot after rooting. And then I came up with a good idea. Just copy ROM to your phone SD card (use a card adapter since your phone does not boot :) ). Rename it to update. Then run fastboot and instal it. After that you will have a nice new working ROM on your phone.
