HELP! Can't restore original spl 1.93 from olinex1.40

Hi there, I'm Italian I'm here because your'e the only one on this planet who can help me.....so sorry for my english.....

I had some trouble with my diamond, the touch screen is no longer working so I have to send it back to htc, now I have to restore original rom and spl.....

I installed olinex 1.40 and the last original italian rom 2.03....

Now I downloaded my former rom (1.93.772) from italian server, I installed it and everything seemed to be right, (I can't check it because the diamond blocks me at the aligning screen, the touch screen is broken and I can't start the phone...the aligning screen appears to me forever and there's no way to bypass it)...

Then I downloaded the original spl 1.93 from your server...I cant use active sync because I can't start the phone so I have to work in boot mode.....I followed carefully the procedure, that is quite easy, but there is no way to remove the olinex 1.40, the process starts, it reachs 100%, but when i check the spl is always the 1.40 olinex....and restore original spl...I try also the usb trigger mode, with the spl putted as dimndimg.nbh...

Please help me!!!!!!!!! I' going crazy!!!!!

I read everithing and now I'm a sort of diamond technician, but I cannot solve this problem, I can only flash in bootloader mode cause the telephone cant initialize windows, it' blocks in the aligniment screen and can't go on, so maybe the bootloader mode isn't strong enough to by pass the write protection of the 1.40 olinex and overwrite the hardspl...HELP HELP HELP

I'got the same issue, you have to install a rom !! and use ActiveSync in order to get the SPL1.93 ! I think in bootloader mode, you can't change the SPL!

Freaky, I have the same issue it will not remove no matter what.

HTC have sent mine back, they say the HardSPL 1.40 OliNex damages the mainboard and causes touch screen failure! They want £230 for a new one :(

If you find out how to remove let me know, I've flashed all sorts and no luck it still says it.

PS) I have activesync working with a failed touch screen (stuck on the align screen window), copying and running stock 193 in /internal doesn't change it. When I try:

it sits at 0% then fails. The other program they mention to force it uinto bootloader I can' run obviously because the touch screen is broke.

In order to switch from 1.40 to 1.93 HARD SPL, you must you the jump spl program. It's in my signature. Also read the txt included for the instructions.

First plug phone into computer via active sync....
Then:
Copy the following files to the Diamond root directory
"Copy JumpSPL.exe & "copy SSPL"& sspl-1.01-reloc-mod.nb

Then: "execute Diamond SPL now - screen may trun black"

Then: "run DiamondCustomRUU.exe to flash any HardSPL

What is "copy SSPL" ??

Copy means either to right click and select copy to then past it to the root of the diamond directory or you can choose to drag this file to the diamond directory. Then continue to copy the other files.

Another way is to just start with the Diamond-SSPL.exe file and it will tell u to copy these files one by one. Make sure that you are activesynced prior to started this.

You must flash in bootloader mode and run ROMUpdateUtility.exe in "C:\ROM" with file "RUU_Signed.nbh" 1.93 version in his directory (C:\ROM).
Use Windows XP and cable miniUSB original and Activesync of course.

1)Use Activesync conected.
2)Copy ROMUpdateUtility.exe and RUU_Signed.nbh (HardSPL 1.93)
3)Enter in bootloader mode
4)From "C:\ROM" run ROMUpdateUtility.exe

I try to use vista mobile device center and seem to work, it seems to sincronize, but when i launch the ruu program It says there is no connection (cable unplugged)

There are two HSPL
1.40Olipro and 1.93Olinex

I think it is all about your hardware. If your diamond came with 1.34 to 1.37 spl you might be better off with the 1.40Olipro HSPL. If your diamond came with 1.93 then you might be better off with 1.93 Olinex.

ANYBODY PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG.

I tried with 1.37 spl diamond 1.40Olipro no problem. Then i tried to update tp 1.93Olinex it did not work properly, then i have to come back to 1.40 Olipro.

Warning you might brick your device if you make mistakes.
steps are
1. you have to flash stock spl1.37 to your device (This one should be flash from pc and inside the windows mobile 6)
2. Then you need your original stock rom which came with your device (you can download from htc website but NOT the latest2.03 rom)
3After you flashed the stock rom then you have to flash the 1.93Olinex Hspl(This one also flash from pc and inside the windows mobile 6)

Please read more before you begin. I did up upgraded to 1.93 olinex but on my device it gave me lots of problem like looping hangs first splash. Finally i decided to come back to 1.40 olipro which is great. If you have problem with 1.40 try mtty

1. Flash the BSBs latest ROM, this ROM does not require allignment or any other input.

2. Install My Mobiler from http://mymobiler.com in your computer, where you can see your mobile screen in your computer and operate using your mouse.

3. Then return to the stock SPL as given in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...9&postcount=39.

4. Flash your ROM again from the HTC. This can be done once the system connects to the phone.

I had the same problem, but I was successful in doing the above and got a new screen from HTC for free.

ELBEN It works....by now I flashed the bsb rom and I can active sync my mobile, so I flashed the 1.93 hardspl and it worked, I flashed also the stock spl and IT worked too (even with bsb rom) but with stock spl installed I can't put the original rom........the problem now is that I cant download mymobiler cause the site doesn't work at all....can you send me in private mymobiler???

Elben now I got everything, the problem is that mymobiler can't install when I put the original rom, (cause windows blocks in the aligniment screen)....now I have installed 1.93 hard spl with bsb rom and mymobiler working perfectly....could you explain how you restore stock rom and spl?? I found on ebay a touch screen for 30 euros...almost inexpensive...think about it....I can't resist the temptation...in a couple of days I will disassemble my diamond.....mmmmmhhhhhhh

Mymobiler works great with bsb rom, but no with original rom, the system say "tap on the screet to start configuring windows" and mymobiler try to install itself in the dimond but without succes......WTF It's almost done!!!!! It's unbelivable...with bsb rom I can put stock spl......and with hard spl I can put original rom......but stock rom and stock spl at this point seem impossible.....The only way is to replace the touchscreen by myself :((((((((((

Ciao bart se riesci a fare qualche passo avanti fammi sapere.....il problema credo che sia praticamente irrisolvibile...sto cazz di spl lo togli solo se il telefono e' sincronizzato col pcsync e basta! e con la rom originale con quel cazzo di windows mobile idiota che si blocca all'allineamento non si puo' fare nulla, oggi prendo su ebay lo schermo a 35 euro spedito da monza e poi smonto tutto e vediamo...ciao alla prossima

I just remembered.....
After flashing BsB Rom, I flashed the original HTC ROM, which was an UPGRADE of the rom my Diamond had when I bought it.
Of course installation stoped at "Tap screen ..." etc, and took my Diamond to service.
So, HTC could not say anything. SCREEN CRASHED WHEN I WAS TRYING TO FLASH THE NEW ROM OF HTC. That's the excuse.

I did the same thing:



Install a rom with no alignement or
place a file called welcome.not in root directory while in alignement mode via activesync, then soft-reset to bypass alignement
install mymobiler (remember you need a rom that doesnt ask for confirmation to run unsigned files)
Use JumpSPL to get rid of writing protection of Oli's HardSPL
Flash 1.37 Stock SPL
Flash Latest Rom of Manufacturer (O2 Germany in my case)

What I had then was a Diamond with a broken touchscreen and 2.03 Rom and 2.03 SPL.

Weird Fact: Mysteriously while waiting for my bill (i lost mine and had to order a copy) I had my dead diamond sleep in his case, with no battery.
After one week my bill arrived and I wanted to send it to O2, but curious as I am, I startdet it again and you won't believe it, but IT WORKED.
So something has to be there that messes up the touchscreens...
What I have now is a diamond with:

Working touchscreen
Custom ROM
Original 1.37 Stock SPL
DIAMIMG.NBH of stock rom on Internnal storage.

So, when the touchscreen is dead next time, I flash the stock rom and everything is fine...

Can anybody confirm this? i experienced weird behaviour, my touchscreen seemed to be MASSIVELY misaligned... i touch the task manager icon on home screen but instead my start menu gets clicked...

I went to settings to align screen, which responded badly.. 1 or more presses were needed to click the marked spot, and the process went on in a loop for 10-20-30 times... i had to soft-reset and problem was still there... after a while, after a lot of soft resets, alignment loops etc it was fine... but again this happened a few hours later... sometimes just pressing the power button to turn the screen off and back on fixed the problem...

i can't reproduce this, but if i remember well it first happened when phone got somewhat hot, cause i was using Youtube on a HSDPA 3G connection...

please tell me what should I do if something simillar happens again? Can Olinex 1.40 HSPL (unsigned) be the cause? If so, why?

I can't belive my eyes....now whit welcome.not my diamond starts up perfectly and syncronize as well, but my rom don't permit using unsigned program and I can't use the ruu program and mymobiler.....

Is there a program, a virus a string to add somewhere to avoid winmobile check the program I want to install?????
