Short Press Power Button Disable

hi,
I have searched all forums and tried various solutions such as adding .lnk files to \Windows folder but not found a solution yet.
What i wish to do is disable the short press on the Power hardware button so that the device does not go into the stanby mode.

I appreciate any help i get!
