cmonex has agreed to work her magic on both the CDMA & GSM Treo Pro to get us a hard-spl/unlocker. So with that said she is asking for donations from all who want to see a Hard-SPL/unlocker for the CDMA & GSM Treo Pro become a reality. :)

I am still offering cmonex my Sprint Treo Pro if the CDMA ROM dump dose not work!

Might it have been more prudent, to have a thread with a title like "Need GSM Treo Pro volunteer". That would possibly get a volunteer faster, just as you're going to ship your Sprint Treo Pro Budney.

Instead of the rush for donations, maybe the GSM Treo Pro crowd should have been given some days to see if one of them might volunteer a device. Then a post asking for donations if no volunteer came forward after a set number of days.

I mean I see you mention someone can volunteer a GSM device in this thread, but it's not the title.

I'm just thinking like you volunteered a device, a GSM owner might do the same if given time and avoid the hassles of trying to raise money.

at darnell: Cmonex wanted to do the GSM treo first, but now she is going to start on the CDMA and I have just dumped my device with her and shes looking at it. If you want to make a donation, do it to cmonex's paypal.

I am another donator here for Pro GSM-HardSPL development.

Hopefully, we will have a happy ending. Palm seems to abandon the Pro, so it's really if the Pro can be upgraded to WM 6.5 which is coming out soon; wait next month offically. :-)

For those of you, like myself, who do not have the coding skill/time to crack the HardSPL for the GSM Treo Pro, don't expect an official WM 6.5 update directly from Palm anytime soon. Here's a copy of my chat session with Palm. I posted my original question from the questionnaire box preceding the chat session. I wasn't left with a lot of hope as to an official release :(

Original question:

No problem per se, just seeing if there are any plans for Palm to release a Windows Mobile 6.5 update for the unlocked Palm Treo Pro. I have already registered my phone with Palm

I think you guys might have been amused to see what I wrote, then deleted, during the chat session.
