[widget] CTS (explicit content) VGA&QVGA for wm6.5

This is my first widget I created with help from member Themuzz. I also got his allowance to use some of his code.

The thread from a widget created by themuzz for streaming television and radio can be found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=525482). If you have windows mobile 6.5 and can't install the widget then look there how to enable the installation of widgets.

First some comments about the widget:
-If this is not allowed on the forum, I'm sorry. I looked at the rules and couldn't find anything about explicit material. Please let me know if I should censor this or remove it.
-This widget is only allowed for 18 years and older
-The widget uses a database from a website, it automatically takes all the images so sometimes a image gallery or video gallery won't display images. If that happens, just try another gallery.
-At the moment the image server of the source has some trouble, so if the images won't show; within one hour it is always fixed.

As long as there are no naked bodies in screenshots, I can't see any reason why this would be banned.

Its a solid widget.

A few recommendations (entirely interface based):

Not a fan of the split top buttons (the Image and Video). Something to complete the top row would make it look nicer. Perhaps another function like selecting a type, who knows.

Having an image at the center seems to be a waste of space. If there are descriptions or some text that can accompany the images, then you could move the images to the left and make the entire row a selectable item with some descriptive text on the right (ala the Youtube application).

Are the links videos themselves? Is there a way to assign an application to send the video link to instead of having the browser open up and download the video, say for direct streaming?

More content, perhaps. And maybe filters for different types of video's/images (assuming they are cataloged).

Perhaps the ability to password-lock the running of the app to keep pesky kids away?

Otherwise the widget is good. It does what it set out to do. Its also very weird speaking professionally about an app of this type. But you will find that these apps get the most downloads.

Don't really understand what you mean with 'selecting a type'. So you would like to see another button at the top: Images - New button - Videos
Just give an idea and I'll add it.

The widget takes all it's information from http://www.creamteensex.com/ (just censor if the link is not allowed) and the only thing I could add is the alt text from the images, but that does not add much useful information.
If you have a VGA screen the images turn out very small, I know. But on the QVGA you don't have that much space. Perhaps you have some other ideas what's possible with the space?

Yes, the links are videos. It would be possible to stream te videos but then you need to install stuff like coreplayer. And I noticed that some videos automatically get streamed...

The problem is that I cannot change the fact the browser opens, the widget has very limited resources to the mobile phone and can not open files online. To do that one has to open ie mobile and send the link to the file.


More content, perhaps.


Actually, I just added five buttons because I thougt that would not fill up the space in the widget much. But I can make like >500 pages because that's the information the websites shows :)

And also, everyday the website update there content so you see new (and sometimes old) images and videos.

But in the next release I'll add more page numbers :)

I don't get it how this works, the pictures show ok, the videos lead to a IE page which asks what to do with the file and only gives the option to save it and this is it. No video is shown.

IE saves it to your My Documents folder. At this point you simply need to navigate to your My Documents folder and you will see the video located there and just tap and watch.

Ok now i got it i thought the widget was for watching the vids (streaming), but it is only for downloading them.

I don't want to sound like a pervert or a one tracked man (:D), but I like this widget. However, I have to agree with Ferrei on one of his points, though. It would be very nice if this widget had filters for different categories of images/videos.

As it is now, though, I like it a lot. The interface is good and the images are of nice quality. I'm just curious as to why this is called 'CTS Light', however. Is there a full version somewhere or in the works?

About the filters stuff, I had a lot of requests for that feature but then I would have to add a category for every gallery with the hand... And then you guys won't have new images every day...

I also just updates the number of pages from 5 to 10. But I can update it to around 500 pages, so just tell me how much pages you want to be able to browse :)

And about the videos, the galleries which provide the videos provide them as download links, so I can't make it streaming. Just open the videos and then IE mobile will ask where to save it, then just open them. It is also possible to change the settings inside the registry from ie mobile so it will save file with the extension .wmv and .avi immediately and open them. I don't know how exactly, just search the forums.

And the last point, the name CTS light :) CTS stands for CreamTeenSex (the website that provides the links) and the light, well, I also wanted to bring out a full version on MarketPlace...But they don't accept widgets like this :) The point is that I put a lot of work into this and want to continu with it, but then I would like to make some money :)

So perhaps I'll release the full version later with a donation link :D

Well, I've been using it a bit more to see what it's like, and the images seem to come in sets, so categories doesn't make as much sense there. Unless of course some of those sets have the same girl as a theme, then it might make sense to categorized them by name (which is much easier than filtering by 'type').

The videos, on the other hand, also come in sets, but still needs filtering, I think. At the very least, they would need more images from the videos or a description of some sort. As it is right now, it's kind of difficult to know what to expect as some images doesn't say much and others don't say anything at all (for example, one image has a picture of a woman's midsection, and that was pretty much it).

Truthfully, the less pages the better, from my perspective. As it is now, 5-10 pages is perfect.

Ah, thanks for the explanation. I also see no issue with you wanting to make money from this, but you're right, Microsoft probably will not accept pornographic submissions. As of right now, your best choice probably is from donations (or try to sell the app through your own website).

Hopefully, though, a secondary marketplace will appear for Windows Mobile that allows all apps (sort of like Cydia for the iPhone). :)

Good question, actually the title of the topic is not correct, the widget changes the layout based on a high resolution or a low resolution, I just named them VGA and QVGA, but actually all screen resolution will be displayed correctly.

The widget will resize the images to the width of the screen automatically. If you flip the screen and reload an image it will also display bigger :)

instead of focusing on this app, you could offer a more generic app based on the idea of this one. Basically, you could perceive it as an on-line media-only viewer/retriever/browser. Just need to find a way to generalize the app and there you go with your money... :D

you do have the basis for a very good app here! remember if you build out the functionality and get it tested from within here the app will become very appealing to a lot of people including the adult industry! if you can make it so you can add lots more content easily then you may start to get some companies interested! remember the adult industry isnt highly tapped on the winmo environment! ease of use will be the key and continually adding functionality! streaming would be a very good option i tried core player couldnt get it working! i think streaming with windows mo streaming app would be your best bet! also if you got it linking with youp0rn or redtube then you would see the downloads rocket then you have something you could sell!
