In this rom i use Manila 2d version 2.19191432.
Music and Photo tabs were disabled and location tabs was removed.
If you edit file htchomesetting.xml from windows directory
with notepad you can enble disabled tabs.
For weather in home tab it use google location libraries to find your location and show meteo.
For communication iussues try to reinstall actyvesync in your pc.

Thanks, I edited htchomesetting.xml with the help of Notepad Mobile by Shamasis Bhattacharya from here (http://www.shamasis.net/projects/notepad-mobile/) but it only enables Internet browser and Music. If I try to enable Location, Operator Widget or Footprints, TouchFlo refuses to load.

Although Internet Browser is now enabled, but the widget does not work. What more editing should I do in htchomesetting.xml to make it work?

Google location libraries show me the meteo in home tab, but doesn't show the name of the location. :confused:

I was able to include the name of my town in the Manila Weather database using CYBERDE Manila2D WeatherCities Editor_1.2.1 available here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4636905&postcount=1222). Now my town is seen in the Weather tab :D

I think the issue is not with ActiveSync on my PC because I can ActiveSync with USB cable but not Bluetooth. Also, ActiveSync with BT works fine with other ROMs. I have had the same problem when I flashed one of your ROMs earlier and had to reflash some other ROM.

Anyway, I'll wait for your build 23075 with M2D and see if the BT-ActiveSync problem persists.

Well, have used the new ROM for 2 days now and these are my observations.

ROM is fast, stable and responsive. Battery drain seems reasonable too.

It did not have the Music and Settings tab on the home page but I enabled them by editing HTCHomeSettings.xml. Internet Widget works fine.

ActiveSync works through USB but it still does not work through Bluetooth. I am again getting Error 608, whereas I checked that ActiveSync worked through BT in a ROM by another developer. Maybe you should look into this issue, Miky.

edit: I've spotted two guys having that issue with another 6.5 rom based on 23071. One of them says that no pin is required by the phone when it reboots.
I've asked for ipl/spl version. I wish windows mobile had an event viewer as windows xp.
edit2: I do remember having one or two spontanous reboot when plugin the phone to my windows 7 computer. It never happened using windows xp + active sync.
edit3: I only use activesync from a computer to add or remove files from the phone. I do have a connection to an exchange server over my edge connection though(set up to receive items as they arrive)

ROM is working very well, Manila is functional and i could add and make work most of the tabs. Only the localization tab i could up to now not make work, i installed the GoogleLocalizationService cab and the GeoService cab, and still nothing shows up in the tab. Do i miss something?

Okay, I'm having too big problems after flashing to the latest ROM with Manilla.

1. In Manilla, I cannot switch WiFi on.
EDIT: Noticed that I can't switch WiFi on AT ALL. Even from the Windows control panel defualt.
2. Missed calls, new messages are supposed to appear in the lock screen, but they dont.

Please find a fix for these soon. THanks!

Thanks Miky. Your ROM has been the most stable and bug free out of the almost 30, I have tried in the last 2 months. Apart from the BT-Activesync, I had no complaints (oh.... the phone restarted by itself about 3-4 times in 2 weeks, but nothing more than that)

The WiFi has to be switched on from the Connection panel under settings, from the CommManager it does not work.

23085 manila build: It was a bug sorry, in manila skin.
fixed vibrate on connect and vibrate on press keypad n phone canvas
Manila skin was installed as a cab, this make first boot slower but reduce windows files number and would improve speed and ram usage.
Fixed wallpaper button in settings tab
Re-added location tab.
Sdcustomization should work

Memory usage was low because i made a mistake with manila skin: some files weren't loaded, fixing now. Sorry.
known iussues: Notification in lockscreen doesn't work again, this maybe related to removing tiatanium.

I've been using 23075 with Manilla for a few days, and have noticed that it's messaging app is very unstable! Sometimes takes 1-2 minutes to open a single message. Anyone else with this problem?

23085 manila build: It was a bug sorry, in manila skin.
fixed vibrate on connect and vibrate on press keypad n phone canvas
Manila skin was installed as a cab, this make first boot slower but reduce windows files number and would improve speed and ram usage.
Fixed wallpaper button in settings tab
Re-added location tab.
Sdcustomization should work

Memory usage was low because i made a mistake with manila skin: some files weren't loaded, fixing now. Sorry.
known iussues: Notification in lockscreen doesn't work again, this maybe related to removing tiatanium.

Hey i just upgraded my phone with your 23088 ROM it works wonderfull...

I am not able to synchronize my phone with Microsoft exchange server...
Whenever i try to configure the server settings as below (an e.g)

it removes the https:// and just saves as xyz.com (automatically)which results in server connection error. :confused:
also while playing songs in Audio Manager it does not show the player but plays the song in background.

tieni premuto il tasto fotocamera mentre accendi il cell
poi dovresti preparare una goldcard e flashare la test rom per sbriccare il cell.

sull'elf dovrebbe funzionare assicurati di avere installato l'hspl però.

il telefono lo puoi recuperare ti serve un amico con un palmare per preparare la sd.
Non so se funziona ma potresti provare a preparare la gold card con un navigtore che si connetta con actyvesync.
non è che nella cartella della rom ci stava qualche altro file oppure il flashing non è andato a buon fine?

Se sì, si blocca al 2%, image corrupted.
O meglio ancora, dopo che l'ELF0img.nbh è andata a buon fine /il ppc è debriccato, parte la SMART MOBILITY NOT FOR SALE IPL e SPL 2.21.1002, ma poi non mi fa più caricare altre ROM, mi dice image corrupted quando flasho.
Anche fatto Enable.rapi e CertSp.cab.

Its working fine on my Elfin till now(2 days). Battery life and memory usage are also fine. Well, Activesync still does not work with Bluetooth, Location Tab does not work, and there is some bug in editing of Contacts, but apart from that everything seems fine. I am looking for solutions to these too.

Edit :- Oh, btw.... I am using the 23088 WWE version, not the italian version.

I sorted out with these steps:
1. flash rom for unbricking at bootloader, using the one like your "smart mobility";
2. install (with rush and panic) after this rom start-up, enablerapi.cab and certspb.cab, to CID unlock (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408637);
3. flash (not from bootloader, but normally) a shipped ROM (I used HTC_Touch_WWE_ME_2.20.456.1B from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2045325&postcount=2). At this point, the ROM is working, even if is not WM6.5 and it is in english;
4. upgrade USPL and IPL, flashing an IPL and SPL 2.26 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=408637;
5. try several times, many time the flashing was not successful, due to error of "image corrupted", but patience patience;
6. upgrade USPL and IPL, flashing an IPL 2.27 and SPL 2.28 (same post above);
7. flash finally the wiky6682 23060 ita ROM.


Panic and patiece, it worked finally.

In fact after each boot up or soft reset i have to go into settings/Connections/WiFi and enable WiFi. Only after that i can switch it on and off normally.
On the other hand i love this ROM with Manila and Titanium cooked in, so i can switch between both. It is much faster and uses less program memory as when Manila is installed afterwards.

You have to try download it until it works, it is a problem of Rapidshare and cannot be fixed, or only if you make a paid subscription.

Well for the last 2 days Manila has started giving problems even on my Elfin. The home screen (and also other tabs) hangs everytime, even though the buttons in the task bar work. Sometimes I can set the home screen right by using Showcase but many times I have to soft reset or the phone becomes unusable. However, Titanium is working fine. This problem never came in your previous Manila version.

I think the problem is because Titanium and Manila both are installed on the same ROM and the high memory usage is making the screen hang. I have only installed another SIP (HTC Western EzInput) over the ROM in my phone. Hence it may be better to cook different ROMs for Manila and Titanium.

per il tab ho risolto con m2dc mentre per psshutxp il problema è che si avvia quando ho il telefono in tasca, quando lo riprendo in alto compare solo il titolo della finestra nella riga dove ci sono le varie icone di sistema: segnale, batteria, ecc.; mentra la schermata resta freezata su manila ma non appare la finestra di psshutxp, a me basta capire come rimuoverlo se basta eliminare il file o devo cercare qualche chiave di registro o modificare qualche altro file, oltre ad essere inutile lo trovo anche brutto, la risoluzione non consente nemmeno la lettura delle scritte quindi preferirei rimuoverlo se fosse possibile.

Poi a parte il problema dell'imei e della schermata di caricamento della batteria di cui ho scritto nel post precedente non ho riscontrato nessun problema, prima di questa avevo la stessa versione ma in inglese e non ricordo che mi siano capitati riavvii improvvisi come viene segnalato da altri utenti.

si ho visto che non c'è niente di anomalo nell'imei a 17 cifre mi sono allarmato perchè non mi era mai capitato e il codice non coincideva a quello sulla scatola, e in caso di smarrimento o furto ho pensato che non avrei potuto bloccare il telefono, però come anche riportato su wikipedia per quanto possa essere attendibile le ultime 2 cifre indicano una versione software e probabilmente non vengono nemmeno trasmesse alla rete quando viene agganciato il segnale.

okie a reboot just happened after having soft reseted the phone, no PIN required by the system
no other automatic reboot seen, so it seems a little bit better :D

edit: might sound silly to you, but it seems ram usage is lower using 3.14 ipl/spl: 55% after flash/hard reset instead of 57% using 3.10 ipl/spl
definitly not related specifically to your ROM as it happens on other 230xx roms on this forum.

Ciao Miky, ho fatto l'aggiornamento e nel complesso andrebbe bene ma c'è un grosso bug: quando ricevo una telefonata e rispondo col vivavoce bluetooth in macchina ci passano almeno tre secondi prima che senta la voce di chi mi chiama e chi mi sente non capisce molto quello che dico (forte echo presente), mentre con le versioni precedenti di wm6.5 c'era un netto miglioramento della qualità vocale e con nessun'altra versione precedente del sistema operativo avevo questo problema del ritardo nel sentire perchè rispondevo e sentivo da subito chi mi chiamava.

Altra cosa: in comm manager devo sempre premere due volte il wifi dopo spegnimento/riaccensione o dopo riavvio. Inoltre quando non annullo subito una notifica (esempio bluetooth disconnesso) la barra superiore si blocca e non posso più accedere alle icone.

A parte questi tre bug per il resto funziona bene.

Hi Miky, I did the update and the complex should be well but there is a big bug: when I get a phone call and response with the bluetooth Car Handsfree we spend at least three seconds before they heard the voice of those who calls me and who I feel do not understand much what I say (strong this echo), while with versions earlier wm6.5 there was a clear improvement of the voice quality and with no ' other earlier version of the operating system I had this problem of the late to hear why reply and felt by now who I was called.

Another thing: in comm manager I always press twice the wifi after shutdown cycle or after reboot. Also when not suffered a notification cancellation (example bluetooth disconnected) bar top stops responding and I can no longer access icons.

Apart from these three bugs for the rest works well.

I have solved bluetooth delay answer. But notify bar lock if notification not close and hided.

Ho risolto il problema del bluetooth ma resta il problema della barra superiore delle icone. Il problema l'ho risolto facendo un hard reset e riassociando il vivavoce. Ho anche installato htc scroll perchè era brutto che i contatti rapidi o i programmi rapidi si potessero posizionare anche oltre lo schermo. Così facendo invece non salgono più su del dovuto ma tornano a posto.

Ho visto il fix, ma sul mio non si installa dice che non è per il mio. Comunque ho constatato nella mia lunga esperienza con i PDA (questo che ho da un anno è il secondo, il primo era un PDA2 Imate con wm2003se) che a volte quando si fa un hard reset le cose non tornano esattamente uguali. In questo caso il problema del bluetooth era dato da un erroneo doppio pairing del dispositivo nell'autoradio che ha anche il bt vivavoce e l'a2dp per sentire la musica del pda senza fili. L'ho scoperto perchè ho anche il parrot e sul parrot non avevo il problema. Io invece non ho riavvii dopo tre giorni, a parte i problemi segnalati del bluetooth (risolto) e del problema delle icone superiori in caso di notifica non ho altri problemi.

However I have found in my long experience with the PDA (that's what I have for a year and the second, first was a Imate PDA2 with WM2003SE) that sometimes when you make a hard reset things back exactly the same. In this case the problem was of a bluetooth pairing device erroneous double nell'autoradio which also has the bt handsfree and A2DP to listen to the music of the wireless PDA. I found out because I also parrot and the parrot did not have a problem. But I have not restart after three days, apart from the reported problems bluetooth (solved) and the problem of the icons above to notify in case I have no other problems.

Fine. To mine the fix works, but I do not know whether it was after that the pda reboot unexpected. I downgrade in 23060.

Miky in the center of the screen i see FOG and "Nebbia".
Today rain but i see only "piovoso" and nothing in the center that is correctly!

I see this could be dictionary try to change this or disable xt9 in full qwerty in phone keypad works better.

Flashed your new rom and working good so far, fast and stable, even with manila also loaded.
Remarks:
WiFi cannot be connected via CommManager. I had to go into settings connections wifi to set it up and connect.
When in email, several times the app just closes when i select a message and i have to reopen it.

first of all, thanks for the new rom. I like the new keyboard. Its running great except for a few problems.


First, would you mind adding WifiInit.exe to WindowsStartup in next rom? It fixes Wifi not always starting on some elfs , like mine.

Second, I have a problem with bluetooth not starting. Is there anything I can do about it? I'm not sure if this error is connected to comm manager or something else. Bluetooth just refuses to start via Comm Manager and Bluetooth settings.

Third, would you mind enabling powermanagement in windows registry? It works very good and increases battery lifetime quiet a bit. Just change all "DisablePowerManagement" Keys to 0 instead of 1 :) (I'm pretty sure you know that already :D)
