Hi,

I'm having a problem entering a password in a midlet using Cinta's 6.8 Lite, with either Esmertec Jbed 20090217.5.1R2.cab or the 2008 version included in CRC's deviceupdate (I don't recall the exact version).

I'm trying to use 2.0.6 of the gmail midlet (which worked just fine using the same versions of Java with my previous WM6.1 rom (CRC's 13.4 naked bigstorage)), and whenever I enter my password it doesn't show up in the password field. I can see the characters as I'm entering them (either using the SIP or the HW keyboard), but when I click on "OK", and return to the main login screen, the password field remains blank.

I'm having the same issue using Tai's V24 Ultralite. I have to enter the passwords 1 character at a time. (Enter a character, get out of the password field and repeat until the password is complete). The field seems to only accept one * at a time so you can input all the characters but only one is accepted. Luckily it keeps the previous character.

Hrmm... sometimes I can get it to accept one character, other times not. I haven't figured out the pattern yet, although I did note that when I push more than one, if the second doesn't show up, it will take the first!

Any tips/tricks?

That worked Magoo. Thanks. I hadn't ran into the problem since I hadn't flashed for 2 weeks or so and forgot I had that fix. LOL!
