Where did manila 2.5 go, l love it. With the R7 TomTom is not installing, with R8 no manila 2.5 anymore :( ... I love the rom btw

why do you need to install tomtom 7 just make shortcut to exe file that is it

I've emailed them to find out if I am able to get a free upgrade or not.

Dutty, I was in holyday so I couldn't try your R7.
Now I'm on R8. R6 has some bugs... But You already know about them.

One is still on R8 and I never read about that: Screen off during call:
Why it doesn't work anymore?
Even with fast sleep (set with HD Tweak) the screen is always on.
Is there a way to make it work?
I read about a program the use the G-sensor and the light sensor toghether to turn on and off the screen.
But I do not remember the name.
Any Help?

I was using it for a week now, and worked fine for me :) .. It is not availble as an installable plugin ?

Try this app, it works for me - when you install it, the settings are in found under Start\Settings\System\Smart Lock.

I have left the default Autolock disabled in HD Tweak as activating this is what locks the screen on dim but then it does not undim unless you press the power button. This is a long winded way to unlock.

So just install this app and select your options as to when you want the screen to lock. Even using the Dim Lock option, the screen comes back to normal light levels without having to push the power button. ;)

Unfortunately Manilla 2.5 is still considered far to unstable for everyday use and was only released in R7 as a demo of things to come. The word on the street is that 2.5 has been designed and optimised for phones with capacitive (multi touch) screens and should be officially launched with the Touch HD's successor, the Firestone. 600mhz Snapdragon, capacitive screen and 8 megapixel camera :D

Capacitive screen, that would be the iPhone screen right? I have one of the original iPhones, use it for testing and learning and let me tell you that writing with the keyboard on that screen is not a very pleasant experience. It looks attractive with all the gimmicks but not as practical as the HD screen.

Until now i was under impression you need to install always... like in f.e. XP. I did look for TomTom not installing, but did nto come across this solution. Thanks .. will try right away.

Ok, just got it to work by switching from threaded to classic text messaging. Switching back to threaded, once more stops me from accessing my MMSs. Can anyone confirm this behaviour?

Nope, I got it in threaded view, under individual contact.

Do a soft reset and the start menu picture should change to what ever you set it to.

its over two days and havent seen any major bugs reported yet, which makes me happy, I know R8 might be a tad slower comparing to the recent ones but its due to me fixing outlook notes synchronisation which has to re-edit the xip for it.

I will do a clean version without manila in next rom since I;, happy with R8.

but I'm using 23009 with 21928 shell32.exe and now you can also hold and drag any icons and folder anywhere on wm6.5 start menu:)

Well Sir, for us it takes just 15 minutes to install the ROM you create, but I can understand, and surely others as well, the kinda efforts you put behind that losing your regular sleeps and fullfilling your passion for your work is absolutely mind boggling. A thousand thanks and a thousand salute for your creativity and skills. Hope we meet in person sometimes...

This ROM is 99.99% perfect as you would want it to be with W6.5. 1% on my ROM is a rare youtube crash that I did not see in R6. But its just Rare..So I give full marks for this ROM. Thanks once again.
