Well, I'm not sure what I did differently the second time around but I'm no longer typing in symbols and I still have my custom font installed.

The only setting that needed to be changed in opera:config was with the "Font" tab. The CSS Font was okay. I changed to Tahoma in two different locations and saved the changes. Then went back to xda (of course :)) and the symbols were gone. Thank you for the help with this one, I appreciate it!

You were too quick. Yes it works but you also need to delete the following key, otherwise it's added as an argument which causes the error:
HKLM\Softare\HTC\Manila\"HomeRSKArguments"="contacts"

For me it is very easy, because i don't have that value.

This KB is just unusable for me, too big and not in Swiss French either.

Yeap, just saw the website... There are few skins which offer "Ctrl" button, but then overall size of the buttons is just to small for my taste, so I consider FK still one of the best...

i think you didnt understand what i mean.
If you check dutty´s pics in the 1st post the background on the R6 in menu was like it shows but once you´re in the lock screen that same wallpaper gains full color.
This doesn´t happen in R8.

This is what i would like to have again in R8.

i was wondering if dutty has any folder icons that match the rest of the rom to use for a navigation folder (to keep the gps stuff in)

When you press start it shows the same pic but with that effect (darker).
The right one (lock screen) is full of color. If you press "Lock" the image on the right will have a normal color.

Uh, there seem to be a two-tone-darker effect when the icons need to be displayed - for visual effect and to make the icons appear more prominent, I guess...

From build 23008 and below the original theme works with a lighter background with readable texts,

From build 23009 aalso with build 21928 theme as to be edited so it can read readable text below the folders sub-icons , so the theme has to be darker, I cant see the real big deal though:confused:
