so this will be my final release... I'm sorry :(

Flash an HTC official rom before this one to avoid hard reset problem.
HardSPL 3.29 or higher and radio 1.7x.xx.xx are recommended.

Hi actually i use your latest 6.1 and is the faster rom on my TILT (i'm italian like you).
Now i'll try this ROM.
Just one question why you don't make an italian version too ?

Ciao attualmente uso l'ultima 6.1 ke hai rilasciato, ho un TILT comprato su ebay.
Adesso scarico e provo questa, sperando che vada bene come la 6.1 le altre all'improvviso si freezavano la tua no.
Perche non fai una versione anche in italiano ?

First of all thanks for the ROM! It's nice!

I got two questions concerning TouchFlo, maybe you could comment on them and/or give some hints. Thanks in advance.

1. On the home screen of TouchFlo the right SoftKey is assigned to Camera. I would prefer having Programs there (as my wife has on her HTC Touch HD). Is there a way to change it?

2. On the settings tab the "Customize Tabs" option is missing (also available on my wife's Touch HD). Any way to access this customization?

Been loving your ROMS since the early days of 6.1.
In v1 of the 6.5 ROM, you had the Devise Update icon, and I can't find it in v2. Am I just missing it or did you remove it?

I have one question/ suggestion, would it be possible to cook the Opera Mini 4.2 instead of the Opal version?

maybe try a program called M2DC,it's a customization program that will let you change the softkeys,google it and you should find a cab for it,good luck, i hope this helps

I download your ROM yesterday. Since I have become flashaholic I decided to give it a go this evening. I must say YOU HAVE PUT TOGETHER A GOOD ROM. I have thrown every thing at it. It seems to be holding up well. So far so good. I am yet to come across problems. It has performed very well.

Sorry if this is a repeat question but I have searched various threads and have not found any help.

In the dialer the contacts button in the bottom left corner does not work, nor does the contact card link on the right of the names in the quick dial. I saw one posting for this problem in the Shifu WM6.1 thread but no responses. Does anyone know a solution for this?

This is exciting Shifu, you've done well with all the great ROMs!

I'm still using your V13 WM6.1 ROM right now, and I'm a little timid to try the OS just yet. Anyone know if WM6.5 is overall better at performance than WM6.1 on the ATT Tilt? Anyone know if it's better for bluetooth drivers (performance, etc)? I've been looking a little and haven't seemed to find a particular answer catered to the ATT Tilt.

Please let me know as like I said, I already have a kick-a ROM from you, just want to be sure before the upgrade.

This is a good and quick rom, however it needs some polishing. These are what I have observed after a day usage:

1. Opera 9.7b1 doesn't work; it stalls after the start screen in a few seconds.

2. Both system volume level and especially in call volume level is too low even when you set it to highest in settings. It's very hard to hear the other person during a call. Please, for example, install [PDACorner] Ultimate-X2.V8 -21921 and compare both; you'll realise the difference.

3. The default MS keyboard sucks; why not try a good big one instead?

Other than these this is a very good rom.

On my TILT this rom works fine, the big difference that i found with latest shifu 6.1 is the delay between touch on screen and the action... may be is 6.5 that is just a bit slow compared with 6.1

Opera loaded on this ROM works for me "right out of the box". Better than IE implementation for a mobile browser in my opinion.

I have the U.S. Tilt from AT&T. Camera does not work on this version. Any fixes for that? I'll search forums and see if this is an issue...

This is a great rom! You said this rom has many dresses. What's the difference, and how do you change from Manilla to Chome?
I've gone to Settings/Today, and there's no choices.
Also, I'm having problems getting into IE. It's extremely slow in opening pages, or simply won't open, or freezes. The same with Opera. This especially happens when I try to view my e-mail in either Yahoo or Gmail.
I've been playing with it and if you can fix the internet problem, it looks like you have a winner! :)

It freezes. I am using Radio 1.70.OliNex. I'm assuming that's the problem. Flashing new radio to "Radio 1.70.19.09" right now...

Will report back. Very good ROM other than the Camera issue right now. I should have thought about the radio. Don't understand why that would screw up the camera but hey... you guys are the gurus so I will just humbly do as I am told.

I solved the internet problem by downloading the PIE cab. With it, I'm able to get to where I want to go!
Now, I have a problem with SMS. I can't open a new one. When I go to Menu/New/SMS,the screen remains the same without opening to write a text.
Any suggestions?

Maybe I'm blind, but I can't seem to find the option to disable waking up the ATT Tilt by sliding the keyboard...can someone help?

Great ROM shifu....so far no skips anymore that I was seeing with V13 WM6.1, and I've been using this one for two days now....slight performance loss from WM6.1, but I figured that's expected.

Great ROM shifu!! Some tips/hints:

Youtube is suberb, faster than ever
CHome has scrambled display in middle bar when SMS/Mail received (subject is on top of the message count), see below
Add the SmartLock tool, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=505032) so the device can be autolocked when poweron
Microsoft Tag does not work (coloured wait balls continue to spin after start)
Best dialer ever :)
Bluetooth Settings menu on Ultimate-X2.V9 ROM is nicer - your ROM "feels" faster, has the Youtube coded into it and has the better dialer, but his ROM has more additional fun stuff...
Add some better keyboards...

Hi,

I followed all the instructions to flash this ROM to my unlocked AT&T tilt. It worked fine for a couple of hours, and then the screen was locked!! I did a sift reset and the phone hangs on the screen that shows the ROM versions.

R 1.65.21.18
G 25.88.40.05H
D 3.29.shifu

I have tried taking out the battery .. same result...

Please help... :(

I've found the problem with SMS compose. After I installed Hebrew, I'm not able to open a new SMS. I've been looking for a fix in the various forums and see that it also happens with Chinese and Japanese.
Do you know of any .cab's to fix this?:confused:

Hi,

flashed my Kaiser with the excellent Shifu ROM. It works very well!

What I miss (or I have not found a reasonable way) is a key or a way to put quickly the mobile to vibrate or silent and back to ring. This is especially good if you are in a meeting and you forgot to put the handy on silent. Clicking on the speaker icon is to complicated and takes to much time. Is there a way to assign a button?

Thanks again for the Great work you did on this Rom.

these were the things that has happened so far with this rom.

1) using coreplayer with bluetooth speaker, after closing coreplayer, music contnues to play via speaker, coreplayer doesn't show up in task manager but shows up in TM2. phone goes into a slow crawl.
2) when adding phone number to existing contact phone freezes for about 10 seconds then responds, happened 3 times so far.
3) once had a missing shortcut error but no problems.
4) is the battery gauge supposed to be showing on the taskbar? I don't see it. The Time shows up and when i click it then i can see the screen where i can choose to see battery life
5 Battery life pretty good so far 3 hours mp3 play using bluetooth speakers with battery life at 70%+ @ highest volume setting and after being off the charger for 2 hours.
6) haven't tried GPS functions yet forgot that when I flashed my TomTom went with the OS, oh well.

so far so good, never had to reset yet except after adding Galarm, BTW is Micro$oft VC built in somewhere, had all kinds of problems in WM6.1, I can only imagine how it will be in 6.5. Thanks Again

You can find a LongPressEndKeyApp.exe in your Windows folder which will allow you to change the setting...

it's not a bug, it's related to CHome or Manila plugin.. this is the reason why i've enabled exit function from menu

Update:

Complete crash, here's the sequence of events

1) went to favorite people, says vjdialer cannot be found or unsigned? something like that
2) did a soft reset
3) after reset went to configure stylus screen, knew something was wrong from there
4) system starts up after setting up time etc.
5) desktop shows up, no icons, just start menu bar, status bar
6) click on the right corner shows 24% mem free
7) new popup stating almost out of memory(something like that) close some programs or will not be able to start etc.
8) reset again
9) boots to spash screen, stuck(waited 15 min)

will try to reflash again. might be just my phone, I installed galarm only no other programs. hopefully I can get this working again was good for a while, hopefully can get some OS to work before I sell this, Thinking about getting a Fuze but if i can get something stable might stick with the kaiser. Thanks

According to instructions stated on first topic of this thread, please make sure to use one of compatible radios (v1.65.nn or v1.7n.nn) for WM 6.5.

I'm using this rom and its the fastest/smootest rom I have tried yet. I previewed 6.5 a month ago and I hated it. This works excellent. I use the sip on it alot (im not sure if this was a bad thing but I install the wmvoip65.cab), in the voip thread I have posted a good message for fine tuning voip. I would say that this build increased my call quality dramatically, while also the wifi is greatly improved - which may be due to the radio upgrade. Voip is execllent and works with GV/Gizmo. Everything works. It sometimes lags but for the most part its does laps. This also has the lowest mem utilization so far. I've never seen my mem util be in the high 40% before (used to be starting in the high 50s), until now. Anyhow I just wanted to post that I'm very happy. I'm using radio 1.70.19.9. The battery life is pretty good 4-6hours with wifi on? Runs the latest android very well.

I have a Tilt, tried to flash this four times. Same Hard SPL and Radio recommended in OP. Flashed OEM, hard resetted, then flashed this and hard resetted. The rom crashed every time during some point of user customization, each time at a different point. Don't know what I did wrong, Shifu v11 and v13 both worked perfectly.

Some other things to note:

1) Make sure you have at least 50% battery (I usually use 100% to be safe)

2) Have you followed stickies on the USB connection (if you are using it) such
as having to disable "Allow USB connections" in Activesync?

3) If you are certain about your above steps, try going back to the ROMs
that work for you. If that doesn't work anymore, consider your setup.
If you are still absolutely nothing has changed at this point, is it possible
you have flashed your phone's ROM too many times? I know there are
some reports of that here and there. I also work on firmware for larger -
scale systems than these phones at my job, and I can definitely tell
you that some of our SPI parts that have been overworked eventually
degrade.

1) I flash at 90%+ battery.
2) I flash via MicroSD, so this is never a problem.
3) Other ROMs flash fine, but you may be right about overflashing :confused:.

Hi,

I have tried your ROM. This is the second one I have tried (First was TPC) with the same results. I’m on U.S. AT&T, but the device appears to work only on HSPDA. “H” is displayed where there is normally a “G”, or at least an “E” and the browser is very slow. I have run the connection wizard twice in attempts to configure the device for the U.S. AT&T network.

Thumbs up [DRIVER][04.08.2009] Extendir (Boost Windows Mobile) & Preset Installer (Visual UC)
Extendir is a file system filter driver that significantly increases the performance of your phone, in specific situations even up to 12 times as fast and faster…
Just cook it in to your rom and of you go!

A nice side effect of the architecture of Extendir is that you should have longer battery life!
(I don’t have real test results for this yet so I don't know how much longer you do with your battery but I've heard confirmations.)

But Extendir has also a very nice bonus feature: it can extend your windows directory!
Every file (not folder) that will be installed in the folder “\Extendir\WinDir” or in any one of its subfolders will get a virtual alias in the windows folder. When the OS request the file from the windows folder, it will be redirected to the real location of the file without the OS ever knowing about it.

For example:
When Manila is loaded, the OS thinks all the (900+) files are in the windows folder while the real files are installed in 30 subfolders of the folder “\Extendir\WinDir\Manila”, like this:
\Windows\manila.exe -> \ Extendir\WinDir\Manila\Manila24\ manila.exe
\Windows\68820878_manila -> \ Extendir\WinDir\Manila\Manila02\ 68820878_manila
\Windows\57ad503f_manila -> \ Extendir\WinDir\Manila\Manila17\ 57ad503f_manila
\Windows\7fc62a3c_manila -> \ Extendir\WinDir\Manila\Manila28\ 7fc62a3c_manila

But it could also be like this:

This makes it possible to cook roms with 500 or less files in it, while all the other files/apps/etc. will be installed on first boot or later.
Which will bring me to the next application I’ve created:

Preset Installer is an Visual UC application that can create and install predefined sets of cab files and mort scripts.
Cooks can deploy their settings and apps with it, while end users can do the same and save their favorite apps and settings as a preset for future use.

For the better user experience you should automatically start Preset Installer on second boot.

But creating cab files (converting rgu/reg/xml/provxml files, create _setup.xml, all the different file locations to optimize for Extendir) takes al lot of time…

Extendir Cabs is a utility to create cab files.

Converting packages or your favorite tweaks to a setup cab was never so easy!
The nice part of a setup cab is that you can uninstall it manually or automatically when you’ve got an updated version of the program you want to install.

as far as the 1.71-emo radio update, things are going well I believe the camera smoothed out a bit and I get another bar. Battery seems good also. I have no idea if the prerequisite drivers are in, but I don't use gps and the camera that much, battery isn't hot at the moment would be nice to know if the correct driver is in.

Will you/Do you have a kitchen that I could start cooking on?

Hmmm...v2.1 - unable to activate any other SIP even with sipchange. Tried FingerKeyboard and EZInput. Always defaults to Keyboard. Any suggestions?

I know it says M$ keyboard cooked in. Thought I could have added my preference...

Hello.Thanks for the new rom, Shifu. I have posted this problem before,but couldn't find a fix. The Audio Manager does not exit by tapping at the "X" Button. It only exits if u select exit from the menu. And when Audio manager is running it doesn't show up in the drop-down task manager on the task bar.This problem was present was also present in earlier PDA Corner roms, but was fixed in the latest roms.

EDIT: Forgot to actually mention what it does. OpenVG is a graphics driver that allows the Kaiser to make use of hardware based Vector graphics acceleration.

EDIT2: Unrelated to the OpenVG question. I have a bug to report. In manila2d the SMS tab does not correctly display the number of the message you are viewing.

Just flashed v2.1 and everything seems to be going okay. A couple of minor problems though.

- The sound icon at the top of the taskbar doesn't open the volume settings. It can open battery and wireless settings but no sound.

- The "click" sound for the menus are gone!

- The touchflo settings seem to have disappeared. I only see checkboxes.

Other than that, this is a great rom, very fast and responsive. :)

Does nobody miss the "bluetooth on/off" app that was present in the WM6.1 v10?

This program allowed you to map "bluetooth on/off" to any key to toggle bluetooth on or off.

It saved me having to negotiate throught the menus to turn on bluetooth.

Very much so. Found this one, haven't had a chance to test it yet.

Is there some way that I could get to that onscreen? I use a car cradle with my phone, and I sometimes forget to take it off of vibrate. This makes TomTom almost entirely useless, and taking it out of my car mount is a bit of a hassle. It's not big deal if there's not an easy way, I can just deal if that's the case.

The cause of problem is Notification Enhancement so if you want install new keyboard need to disable it.

The first cab disables Notification Enhancement, install and reboot. After that you should be able to switch to new keyborad.
The second one install Large Title Bar (only if you want this feature) install and reboot.

That's all :)

This Opal keyboard by SJ works fine without diasabling or uninstalling anything. Yon may need to reboot ur phone twice, if you are having issues after first restart. Link below :

you don't have to open the keyboard to access the Volume. Just press the center d-pad button below the screen TWICE and u should see the volume control

I also have the same issue with iGO v8.3 (application hangs at startup).

One thing I noticed as well, after soft reset, when the Chome loads, messaging starts by itself. I had that in v2.0, but I thought it was Chome issue, evidently not so.

Other than that, pccarvalho's EZ Input 2.1 keyboard running smooth from the start, no problems whatsoever.

ROM is very stable, responsive, and battery life is great.

Navizon claims that it needs 3.7. Which seemed odd considering that I had it running perfectly fine on WM6.1 (v10 of your other ROM). If 3.7 has compatibility issues with d3d, I'm gonna look around and see if I can get Navizon to work without 3.7.

EDIT: I got Navizon to work, I just had to change its Application Compatibility settings in the NETCF config. Problem solved. :D

I'm using a 6.1 ROM form Shifu, it's great BTW :), but I want to change to 6.5, so, I want to know if there's something special to do when I flash my phone or is the same procedure like the 6.1 version roms.

This ROM looks fantastic and I want to give it a try.

The only thing that I had to do was make sure that my radio and spl were the ones that Shifu recommended. Some people recommend flashing to a stock ROM first, but I didn't do that and haven't noticed any issues.

iv been trying to run my accelerated games but they keep telling me there a invalid wince application, and if not mistaken shifu you already provided the d3d drivers, so yea any help would be appreciated, is there something i can test to see if the drivers are working fine? i alredy tried installing other drivers(omnia,neos,and even reinstalled the htc ca kaiser ones) but still cod2 wont run accelerated and im shure im running the right exe. btw my kaiser has the msm 7201

went back to 6.1 for a while, had battery problems, not sure how that affected the system but it would both boot to desktop screen but with one battery it would lock up while the other will load, strange considering both are oem batteries except on the backside of one battery there full exposed metal while the other is covered in some parts, anyway thanks for the good work on the rom will flash the new 2.1 version and see how it goes. sent money via US paypal can't read a lick of the link sorry. hope to see more updates.

I seem to be having problems with total commander. Everytime I scroll down when I change directories, it would open the second or 3rd thing I scroll past. Also, when installing cabs or opening stuff with unrecongnizable extentions, it would flash the install screen before dispeering and the error message for the unrecongizable extentions. Its a really big pain. I really like the theme on the M2D and seems like it has great potential. Also the start menu is a bit laggy. If these problems get fixed, it would be great. Going to test GPS soon.

I don't have any issues using TomTom 6.010 on it. I use an external BT GPS receiver, if that makes a difference.

Not yet. I recall having it working immediately following the flash but then inexplicably stopping recently. I've tried installing the newest OpenVG drivers and that didn't work. I guess we have to wait for Shifu's input.

To all the people with GPS issues (iGO, TomTom), did you check (with Advanced Config) if Assisted GPS is enabled, if so, disable it and try again.

Post your findings here.

I had this issue (iGO not running) when I enabled Assisted GPS on an other ROM... I don't know if it is the issue in this case but we can try.

I'm back on shifu's v11 full for now.

Not yet. I'm still waiting on input from Shifu. My uneducated guess is that the OpenVG drivers he cooked weren't the same ones that Opera was based on.

Hello Shifu, I used and liked your v1 (wm6.1) from long ago. Anyhow, I am trying this rom but I've never liked aebutton, my experience is that it causes intermittent button slow downs, so;

- Do you see any problem with your rom if I remove the shortcut link from the "startup" folder, thereby preventing aebutton from loading?

- [edit - did hardreset and mms works, still no send/receive but maybe that's normal] Am I missing something here - there seems to be no "send/receive" button for MMS? there is a "send" button on the composition screen, but after clicking on it, nothing happens. Nor is there any indicator at top panel showing outgoing or incoming mms. I don't even have a "grayed out" send/receive button. Nothing. I cannot send mms.

- one more problem, install of fingerkeyboard doesn't take. It acts as though installs, but when trying to select it, it just stays on the default tiny keyboard. Please help.

First off thanks a lot Shifu for your esplendid work, I was very happy with your V1.5 WM6.1 but I couldn´t resis the temptation to flash this V2.1. And in general is a wonderful ROM, the only thing I found is that as others already reported TomTom, iGo8 and also NDrive don´t work, I haven´t been able to install any of them. I already tried the registry change that you suggested some posts behind and also disabling the assisted GPS.

I noticed that in the V3 italian release iGo8 is working, is there anything else that we could change to match V2.1 to V3?

but...

1) How can I have alarm sounds to play until I press dismiss or snooze? (Yes repeat sound is checked)
2) Anyone got GarminXT to work (it was working with my AthineOS prior to flashing to Shifu)
3) During a call (when accessing automated systems) the keypad keeps dissapearing after x seconds. Is there a way to set it to manual (show/hide)
4) During a call, screen keeps going blank after a few seconds, is there a way to keep it on always during a call?

Nice release! I am on TCP v11 right now but I want to give this a try because I think you're a good cook :)

One question I have been trying to get answer is: is there a way we can change the font in Audio Manager? In the older version I am able to display Chinese song titles as long as I install the font, this has been bugging me a lot since the later releases doesn't display Chinese anymore.

youtube works from the manilla tab (no shortcut on program menu) yet when i press and select video it does stream but extremly slow that i can see the frames changing. i have the recommended SPL, Radio aswell, Hard reset several times, flashed stock rom,...etc

mainly it's either the D3D drivers or Youtube app itself.

is there any solution for the keyboard illumination?

Random Question....I keep trying to reset to get past the windows mobile customization process during setup of the rom after flashing. All it does is reset and bring me back to the same thing. Can you not skip that step on this? Or am i just having a friday morning stoner moment?

I flashed this ROM last night... the first WM6.5 version that I've tried. I have a few questions.

1. A "Mortscript" window pops up everytime I reboot. Can I disable this or is it used for something (noticed that it's in the statup directory).
2. Any way to make the menu text on the right side smaller? It's finger friendly this way but I typically pull out the stylus if I need the menu.
3. When I get deep into a directory, such as "Settings -> System -> etc" and I run one of the programs, is there a way to drop back into the last "directory" without it going all the way back to the "Today" screen?
4. How does one access content specific help now (it used to be in the windows drop-down menu).

I'm reading through the thread but so far I've only gotten to page 17.

@Shifu: Thanks a lot! Great piece of ROM you delivered with this V3, the messaging button maping was resolved with your cab posted few post back. The GPS Navigation problems are history except the NDrive which was reported already and Mío Map which doesn´t launch at all, I can add that Garmin and TomTom work fine.

There are a couple of things to comment (not really problems): 1) At start up there´s a window message related to mortscript, I´n not sure what the message is about, but while is displayed the "Messaging" legend appears at the top bar, once I hit the OK in the windows get closed and I get the normal "Start" at the top bar. 2) I flashed V3 when my battery was @ 100% charge and I´ve played (internet, wifi, bluetooth, gps, music, ringtones, etc) with the Kaiser for about 4 hours and the battery level is now 46%. Even I know that I´ve stressed the battery use I have the feeling that is a low battery performance but I can´t conclude anything until I use the phone in a normal way.

Did you flash a stock ROM first? And did you install anything else? And... what SPL / Radio versions did you use? Make sure to answer all questions so we can help, otherwise, don't bother asking for help as it will be impossible to help you :)

tap the arrow on the top-right and select "services"
search for "notification manager", tap and hold and select "stop the service"

Anyone else having issues with the SMS service running really slow? After I type and send an SMS the service often apears to hang and the phone responds very slowly.... however it does eventually start responding normally, it just takes a few minutes.

builds 23037 and 23034 are butt ugly, unless you try to reskin te whole interface, I'm gonna use it ;). v.3 is very slow for me and I have the recommended radio an spl. maybe a next release is getting better.

Another world with a 'reset' flash before, with a 'stock rom'.:cool:
The device also suck the battery...mhmm:confused:

im afraid!!! for some reason, it decided to overwrite my flash card with garbage! the only things i had been doing is running my gps (garmin xt) and i took a picture... i cant remember which i did last. but when i brought it back from standby, my card had a bunch of files on it garbage filenames. and the only folder left was mydocuments/dcim with pictures in it. i hope it is simply a bad sd card, and not the ROM, i like this rom.

I'm still hoping someone will give me a hint on how to reduce the menu text size... also, anyone know how to:

1. disable the annoying "your bluetooth device has been disconnected, put the phone up to your ear" message
2. Any way to regain the snooze delay setting option? (used to be able to chose how long to snooze appointment and alarm notifications for).

Finally, it seems that the SMS slowdown only shows up if I go to SMS directly from "chrome". Speed is OK if I use the hardware button.

nevermind sorry, i'm jumping from 6.1 and 6.5 threads and i've missed something :o
the regkey posted before was for 6.1, anyway you can change the menu size using a 6.1 theme.
try this one below, rename to .tsk and copy in windows folder

yes i know, but if you activate this theme you should have 6.1 menu style (if i remember right) :rolleyes:

I'll give the cab you uploaded a try. Meanwhile something got messed up again. I was setting up S2U2 and got it to the way I liked it, but now I have TWO slide to unlock and caller ID things going on at the same time and the phone freezes. Guess I need to read up on S2U2 and see what it is/is not compatible with. I had to remove iLock2 from the startup directory to get the phone to run decent again. Kind of sucks because I liked the way the phone locked when I pressed the power button.

The menu text size as not as annoying to me as the bluetooth chime reminders to put the phone to my ear - LOL.

BTW, I'm not having an issues with any GPS programs that I've tried so far... noticed that a few people had problems in the earlier posts. In fact, GPS is working better for me than on the previous ROM I was using.

Again, thanks for the ROM and all the personal help!

of course i did...the 1st one i tried...and whenever i click video call...it just make a regular voice call as if the button is functioned to make a regular call...NOT a video call..

both scenario are happening with 'H' being active...

any idea why? should i re-try it again?

Love this ROM!

Having a strange issue when soft resetting. I am using Manila 2D instead of Titanium. The word "Messaging" displays on my titlebar to the right of the start button when the phone boots, but no program is visible. There is an "X" to close in the top right corner, and after touching the "X" to close whatever "Messaging" program is running at startup, Manila 2D will go ahead and run.

I had the same problem. Went into the registry and deleted the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\BootLauncher\Apps\t mail
No more 'Messaging' on the title bar, and M2D starts right up.

Hi.

I'm only new to the Kaiser world - I bought a TYTN II on ebay for a knockdown price. Bit of a manky front panel, but I can get a new screen housing for very little off ebay.

The 1st thing I did was to install your V3.0 ROM (because the stock 6.1 was boring, and I can't help but fiddle!), and all I can say is that it's great. I'm running the Manilla front end, as I didn't like CHome that much.

I've been used to WM 6.1 on a Tornado, so the new ROM certainly shows off the bigger touch screen. It's almost a shame it's a birthday present that I'm not going to get for 4 months yet!

I've got one question about playing videos though...

I realise due to the driver issue that 2D and 3D performance may not be great. I didn't expect it to be *quite* this bad though. I saw this ROM came with D3D so hoped it would be OK.

Are there any drivers suitable for the particular version of ROM and hardware? Is there a better player that runs at a rate greater than ~3fps?

I followed the steps exactly. I've got Hard SPL 3.29, Radio 1.17.19.09, did the reset etc. Everything else runs nice and fast.

I have a similar problem in the bundled YouTube application. Videos will play, but the timing seems to be out in that a video will play, the sound and video get out of sync, and all of a sudden the video will skip and get in sync, then the video will slow down, get out of sync and so on. It effectively makes watching a video impossible because of the A/V being out of sync, and the video skipping and general slow playback.

Oddly enough, the video looks better when played via SkyFire. The A/V are in sync and there's no skipping.

I've got one other question too: Has anyone seen my copy of Quake III? :D I want to install it on my new 8Gb SD card, and I can't find it anywhere.
