use GPAD on Pocketnes

hi guys, i've tried to use GPAD with Pocketnes by editing the config file, but the GPAD seems working only when the nes rom loaded is not running.
anyone how to make it work correctly, or another metohd for using the g-sensor with a nintendo emulator?
