I wonder if there's a registry setting that can be changed to enable it to work when Manila is on in 23041 builds.... either that or attempting to patch files over from the 23037 build that doesn't have the nice swipe down animation but works, and not just in Titanium either.

I think & maybe wrong, it's because Manila has it's own controls in its dll's for the taskbar. This means till HTC Updates Manila for the new UI, it won't work properly. This is the same for the Task Manager alignment & Close on X. The app's just aren't compatable with these builds.

230xx and 234xx are both part of the COM branch.

234xx is the newer "COM4" branch, and 230xx is the older "COM3" branch.

"newer" and "older" in this case just meaning that one came before the other one. But not necessarily that it is newer chronologically (it is possible for an older branch to have a newer build for example)

It took some time for work to finish in COM3 and the changes to be merged up into COM4, so we stayed with COM3 for some time. Now the merge has taken place. So, we proceed with COM4. :)

that's an OEM issue I suggest you look at the various *.txt files in oem

This I thought too first, but when I change builds the rom boots without this problem, I tested it both with my previous 23041 SYS and with 23403 bulit.
I have built and flashed more than 20 times with this OEM and different builts without this problem, I flashed with your SYS about 5 times and always this problem. I replaced my OEM EXT folders from a new dump of my based official rom and tried again, with no luck. Only if I don't use your SYS I can make again bootable and without this problem roms.
So this leads me to think that the problem comes from there.

Yes I am 99% sure that these are resized ones by the tools that da_g have. Previously too, it was characterized by some files that were left over during resizing pertaining to themes in themes_dpi_96 folder. joojoobee666 at ppcgeeks fixed those before posting his version of files there. But ofcourse, only da_g can confirm this fact.

Sorry boys, but yesteday it' officializzed the htc mega aka touch 2, that is qvga and the first device with Winmo 6.5!

And what does that suppose to mean? I know HTC Mega is a QVGA WM 6.5 device. I am talking about 6.5.x builds with the new UI that we are working with these days. Mega will come with 6.5 build not 6.5.x. 6.5 is working really great even on my gene (p3400i) with 200mhz processor and 64 MB RAM. I would suggest to try to read carefully before posting.

The status bar along the top seems to be updated some in 23409. I'm running Showcase as a task manager and now when I tap and hold the right side of the status bar a separate set of icons appears, Showcase being one of them. Did that happen in 23041? I never noticed it if it did. Also the bar that drops down from the top status bar has a nice sliding animation effect and is slightly less transparent. Other than that I haven't noticed any significant UI changes, but it definitely feels faster and more polished than 23041. I like this update very much. Thanks Da_G!!

No it isn't. Not without replacing a bunch of files. If your not liking the new look then your best bet is to go back to an older build. Sooner or later the 3rd party programs will start making changes to adapt to the new look.

There is no conversion involved with the dpi files themselves, these are as-designed by MSFT. I imagine the QVGA bits will be cleaned up near the end (the build has vga+ devices in mind)

23605 is an OEM build for LG Electronics, which has a handful of changes they requested. If I recall correctly it's based on the newer UX, so you'd want to stick with 218xx. I do not have this branch to post at this time, so rombeta it is. Brush up on your google translate :)

Early this morning (like at 3am my time ) I cooked a 23409 ROM for my Kaiser (TyTn II - Tilt) using the files shared in this forum. When the ROM first booted up I came across a jade like interface with no bubble buttons on the bottom (just text), kind of like the very old WM 6.5 builds.

I was getting worried that perhaps I hadn't copied all the required files into my ROM. However before re-cooking I decided to go to the home screen settings page. In there I selected a new picture as the background, and just for the sake of it I pressed the classic blue theme. After pressing OK the nice bubble buttons showed up.

So if you are facing a greenish interface without bubble buttons you should try the above approach. It worked for me.

I was getting worried that perhaps I hadn't copied all the required files into my ROM. However before re-cooking I decided to go to the home screen settings page. In there I selected a new picture as the background, and just for the sake of it I pressed the classic blue theme. After pressing OK the nice bubble buttons showed up.

So if you are facing a greenish interface without bubble buttons you should try the above approach. It worked for me.

I am wondering if you have created new versions of the colored classicblue_bubble_xxxx.png files (such as the Microsoft Flag). As you provably know the latest releases of WM 6.5 use 24X24 icons and therefore the icons you shared with us previously do not work as well anymore.

I would put together my own icons, but I don't know how you get the cool effect on yours. You don't just paint the windows flag areas with solid colors, you make the colors face away.

There is no conversion involved with the dpi files themselves, these are as-designed by MSFT. I imagine the QVGA bits will be cleaned up near the end (the build has vga+ devices in mind)

If that don't work, open the dll's & exe's from the camera package with PE Explorer. It can scan for depencies. Than just compare those listed to what's in your ROM.

You can find the signer & unsigner tool here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=432041). As for PE Explorer, do a google for it. It costs money, but the trial should work for what you need.

NOTE: Signing a DLL/EXE/MUI with this signer require SDKCerts.cab to be installed. It is included in the zip in that post.

I think what you means is something that looks like "CEOS10 MSSOFTKEYCE1.0". At least this is what's listed in cmhome.dll.

NP, they should have given Titanium a _Global cpr as well to handle the BG like they did Start Menu & Lockscreen. Now it means having 2 sets of CPR's depending on the Build it's for, blah. At least StartMenu & Lockscreen, that's not an issue since it's the Global CPR that controls the BG.

Ok kind of lost, did you figure it out? lol Yeah, DWord can be Hexdecimal or Decimal. I listed the Decimal value as it's what my registry editor shows by default.

NOTE: On a side note, I don't even know which SIP I had a screenshot of. I use the default MS SIP, which has no problems myself. Was just tesing what "Alexx~" & "humrod" found in 96DPI for anyone who might need it as Alex~ has a 192DPI device.

The problem with SIP is already solved by MS. I used Lang from 23037 for 23041 (my current buil). 23041 and 23409 in rgu of Base_Lang_0xxx_DPI_xxx already have the correct values.

yes i donot use system scrollbars. i have set them to 0value cause they are visible in the dialer.

That's your issue solved then set the bars to normal and the sliders will return to normal..

for the dialer you need to edit the phcanrc as Alexx posted some pages ago.

volume control is 23041 & 2340 was changed by MS to adjust volume directly and not to drop the taskbar icons
this was i think a good change because you can also change In-call volume easier

but new problem happened, that when the phone is locked you can still hit the buttons by mistake and the volume will change (not locked)

did anyone find a fix for this?
i try to use Setvolume application but it is also unlocked (did not solve the issue)

it's because you haven't register DLL...
Go to my 4shared account, there's a OEMPacks folder. Grab first SIPChange (it's in old OEM form) and then get FingerKeyboard in EXT package from me :)

It has been stated over and over again that if any app can't run, you should have check the app dependency to see what is required. You can try Dependency Walker (http://www.dependencywalker.com/) to do this. After you know which .dlls are required, you can search for the packages you need. This way you do not need to blindly pick and try.

Furthermore, if I remember correctly, you do not need to apply any cert on any apps if the rom is compiled using -nocert option if they are cooked.

I posted my theme a few pages back, test it out if that don't work, did you cook in either HTC Volume Control, HTC Enlarged TiltleBar, or Showcase Task Manager. I had the same issue, after disableling those 3 apps & installing my theme, bug went away. Not sure which was the cause.

No, it looks like the wm7 project Titanium Theme/Skin.

PS: You Titanium, & Start Menu_Global CPR's need editing to align the background. The image with the CoffetiPlus::WallPaper Source should have a top value of -18 for QVGA, not -27 in these new builds. That'll fix the alignment issue between the top & buttom bars & background.

i have cooked the following basic applications and now the camera works:
here is a .erv-file for loading and analyse in ervius kitchen 1.81 (rename .txt to .erv)

i have modified the following line in "kitchen_build_rom.bat" (rename .txt to .bat)

old:

new:

1. set the -uldr to constant value (-uldr) as (-%uldr%) -> without value i think the value 3 is set
2. set the -pp to constant value (-pp 10) as (-pp %pp%) -> i think 10 mb is the best pp for htc1
3. set the -nocert to constant value (-NoCert) as (-%noCert%) -> disable certification checking...

my custom rom has after first flash round about 50 mb free memory, after some using and testing the new build the ram decrease to 24,87 mb. the ram was stable at the moment, but i have no oppionion to start any programs.

Do a search for devhealth.exe. Start an app, then run the .exe and it dumps your ram profile to your sd card. The dependencies are near the end. It takes around 5 min to run.

Problem 1 i have that trouble in 23041 i think due to a missing file... doesnt matters to me the tag reader...

problem 2 is normal to have the mem leak constantly on winmo6.5 but amzingly in this new roms the leak is less than in old 6.5...

24.87 - 25 is just .13 is not so much but the memeory that the apps is asking to... dunno whats wrong. cook it again.

I had that problem awhile ago, I ended up using the lockscreen from 198.. Let me know if you don't have it, otherwise I'll attach..

Using these files give me a blank lockscreen, with no slider... still requiring a soft reset.

Yes, the tag reader that came with the source files for 23409 doesn't work on the Kaiser. I had the same problem. However if you are cooking your own ROM you can simply remove the folders (I think it is two) related to this applicaiton.

Tag Reader is a new application by Microsoft that allows you to take photograph of a 'tag' and navigate automatically to a certain website which is coded within the tag. If you really want this application you can download the application from Microsoft and install it separately.

My 23409 ROM (shown in the signature) doesn't include that application, so you are free to try it if you want.

Yes, I found that to be a very ugly development, which is also prevalent in 23409. Applies also to the bottom (soft key) bar in 23409. To solve it in my ROM (shown in the signature) what I did was move the taskbar and soft key bars from 23038 (or 23034....can't remember) to the 23409 build and now it is nice and transparent again.

I don't think that will fix the issue. It will remove the scroll bar.

Last time I heard the fix for the contacts being screwed up like that no longer worked because it used older files that don't work with the new builds.

yeah i figured out that is about scroll bar. anyway i want this remove as well so i made changes and i copy this on card. i used Total Commander and overwrite it to windows folder, it goes without problem. but now i want to put back old one file (original one) and i can't overwrite. It's like protected or something. how i can put back old file back. I tried change Attributes but they dont change

Few fixes I noticed last night while working with Kane159 that the ClassicBlue TSK for QVGA needs.

#1: Pivot Background image is 480x32. Edit & resize to 240x32 & it'll show up like it's supposed to.

#2: Menu's being extra big, only a few items showing onscreen. This is due to the Top & Buttom Padding of the Menu Selector Image. It's set to VGA value so cut that value in half. The selector Paddings are listed in both the ListView & Menu Registry Directories.

On a side note, if your custom theme has it where the buttons on the sk bar are just bearly big enough to cover the text like in Shadowline Black, increase the Margins as Kane159 did in his fix. The value is in pixels, 1 in Dword Decimal is 1 Pixel Margin. Think of it like a MS Word Document. There are probably some other errors in those margins/paddings. Like why the up/down arrow isn't centered.

Well i can see something wrong in your volume metters kane... the icons of the device and phone are cutted at bottom by the sqaure or metter bar. :confused:

no buddy this is not the normal homescreen

i have edited some graphics[which i have compiled from various sources]

the titanium theme is Ibrythill_WM7_Titanium_Project

and i have changed the default wallpapers and softbar and keys

the original interface is on the first page i suppose

can u upload the theme u r using in cab

BROWSING
BROWSINGCORE
browsingie
all model's in side to file
like wmlview7.dll folder to file iexplore.exe folder to file ....and so on

u mean to recmod the files.

well in previous versions i was only recmodding \browsingie and adobe flash and was working.

Dont know maybe MS added or forgot some registry entries?

i don't have any utilities to make them in a cab

I've tried to cook a czech version but when it starts it looks like i have to recmod some module. (so i dont have pictures and doesnt start programs and start menu and others.)

I've done 5 languages and they work very well, just the czech cant start. I have no more modules than the other versions, ive got 0 modules in slot 0 and i dont know why do this. Please somebody, help me :(
