It is just really faster than 23064.
And some GUI are fixed (volume control as I can notice).
It also contains the new MS Contacts too (As it was in 23060 and upper).

I have not notice any other thing yet.

i cooked a new japanese rom for my diamond, and i have not seen any issues so far. it seems like the build is getting closer to the final version. (thinking about the current competitive environment of smart phone, i assume ms will do some more cosmetic revisions.)

i guess i can use this build without any hassles for a while.

This feature is called haptic feedback.I thought haptic feedback was things like vibration to indicate a screen tap. I dont think the bounce feature counts as haptics. Haptics has to do with using the sense of touch in user interfaces.

Edit:This is compressed with 7-zip(LZMA2) which means you must use a very new decompressor to extract and that some programs may not have support for it yet. The latest 7-zip (http://www.7-zip.org) will certainly handle it and is freeware

SipAR (Soft Input Panel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soft_Input_Panel) - ARabic) goes with it, as well as the complex script packages, which replace the "standard" packages (SYSTEM_DEFAULT_FONTS -> COMPLEXSCRIPT_FONTS and so forth)

These packages are left out of any build which is not arabic (arabic builds are WWE + the complex script packages + arabic SIP)

hey guys iv been having a few issues with the roms iv been cooking lately, first when i hit start menu on the lower left there supposed to be only one icon for start menu but on mine i got 2, the second issue is the top bar not working no matter what build i try since 23060 the topbar does not work, so cant tweak volume nor access the task manager quickly, and yes i do not have htctitle bar cooked in the rom so it has to be something else not letting me use the topbar heres a screenshot:

7Zip file seems to be damaged. Winrar gives errors when trying to extract something, and the files are 0 bytes after.

I assume you are just talking about the HTC Task Manager not working when you tap the topbar?

Tap it once to bring up the new "expanded topbar", then tap+hold in the top right corner. ;)

So I cannot say anything about the build but yours problem is due to cpr files in LockscreenEA or LockscreenNonEA.

Try using these packages from older builds ( i.e 23069 ). :)

you are using a custom lockscreen cpr, it is overwriting ones from 23071 sys...there is no problem with lockscreen in 23071.

nothing is wrong with 23071, the messaging works fine the problem is on your end :) make sure you dont have outlook enhancement in your ext pkgs and check for dlls or mui that are being overwritten. also try using the complete sys files with no deletes.

I have SMS working normally in 23071 but yor white screen problems usually occur if you remove webview from sys folder during coocking :)

Hi Da_G I usually left these sys folders in the rom as i didnot know what it is but as i am using arabic language the new versions of 6.5 doesnot recognize arabic letters and i need to install a third party cab to enable arabic although mismar is in the rom (Early releases of 6.5 before 21234 recognized arabic letters but words were reversed)

This is NOT a ROM upgrade you can flash. This is made for people to port into your phone and make a ROM out of it.
As far as the TP2, if you have the GSM then you can get it ported easily, if you have the CDMA TP2, then you don't have a HardSPL yet, so you can't flash anything yet.

Soti pocket controller pro... do what ever you want with your windows folder and... registries, capture video... pics... draw in pics... control your phone from PC screen ... is so cool

That sounds like a remote registry editor. Someone had asked for a local registry hive editor and someone else suggested CeRegEditor.

Check the first page... there is a pkg called 0C0A grab there all the muis... but... i guess you must to cook them all in a kitchen... so read more about create roms and use other langs than 0409 or is better and simpler to ask your lovely and considerated and helpfull chef to make the rom in Spanish.... if he cant you must to learn with the tutorials in first page...

Yes there is a very simple fix found by md_bluelily.
I had the same problems with few builds till I got a md_bluelily´s solution:
You must use Metadata from current source build (not your original Medatata from .ROM & .VM build).
Guess that problem was caused with something in registy default.hv or user.hv from old Metadata folder.

The phone settings when selecting a ringtone it has error message ringtone is corrupt or missing. Also there is no scroll in the drop down boxes. Also it is impossible to exit the screen until a soft reset.

none cab ... it's a resource file that i cooked inside my rom ... it's a "dll" that overwrite the original... and it's the same that displays the digits in the white font ... i only made and change the graphics resource ...

I've heard of that issue when using older versions of touchincallscreentweak, or whatever it's called. Never used it myself.

You probably installed a 6.5/6,1 theme, I did that by accident (HTC Black theme) and I got exactly the same missing buttons.

And indeed, scrolling is a bit weird... actually I like it, because the bounce-back effect is in my opinion a bit unnatural.

23021 has the larger bottom bar, with the old (larger) size top bar. Start Menu is at the top left, and X button is at the bottom left. Volume keys bring up Title Bar List. I don't remember what 23016/7 had to compare them to this build.

However, now I've apparently found a 21607 build that was uploaded to the darkforcesteam.cn FTP on 9/2 (I don't know the actual build date, though, nor what device it was made for). COM2 builds have been in the "stable" designation since 21234. It's at the same point as 6.1 was after completion.. still receiving updates periodically, but 'stable'.

So any build after 21234 is considered "bug-free" :)

thanks Da_G....but in 21869 there are some issues like the scrollbar bug on the xperia dialer when you hide the dialpad and scroll down, it then becomes unreadable, then there is the windows media player bug, when playing the music via titanium and you lock the screen and unlock it and return to the today screen and scroll tru the titanium media player plugin, all the songs appear to have the same title, its only fixed after soft resetm then it returns that way if you lock the screen again.

are there any solutions to these? im cooking using ervius kitchen

Strange, all builds are working fine on the Touch Pro 2. What device are you using? Better: are you using a native 6.5 kernel? Maybe it got something to do with that.

I did a compare on 23069 and 23071....theres almost no difference at all! :) So, if you're running on 69....its better to wait for a later build to upgrade to!

Yes there is a very simple fix found by md_bluelily.
I had the same problems with few builds till I got a md_bluelily´s solution:
You must use Metadata from current source build (not your original Medatata from .ROM & .VM build).
Guess that problem was caused with something in registy default.hv or user.hv from old Metadata folder.

the phone will stay running & signal green light blinking but will not wake up from sleep (when you press power after screen was off) if left for a long time specially if plugged in...

i have QVGA dpi-96 etem m700 and used envirus kitcken
did not have this when cooked 23064 or 23069

anyone else having this with 23071?

I had this problem but I cooked the ROM again with everything from Da-G including the XIP and I have a smooth ROM for QVGA. I think the source I used had few old dll's but cannot place them as I immediately deleted the SYS (in frustration :o).

does anybody know this problem with the new gui ? In Titanium the softkey-Bar is missing and no buttons. If i open the startmenu or activate Manila for example the softkey-bar is present with buttons.

i dowsn't think theres a problem with the tsk - its the original classic blue and only replaced with color-modded black items....

The reason is already known. It has to do with the changes you made to the top bar as ivanmmj said. Undo those and it will work.

I installed ezinput 2.0 that JoeTheFro had attached a few posts ago on my Alltel touch pro. I found that it broke several of the keys on the physical keyboard. It appears to set them to whatever they are on the fuze. I have updated the package to work correctly with the Alltel and Sprint versions of the Touch Pro. I have not tested it on the Verizon version, but it may still work even though the keyboard layout is different.

The Touch Pro and FUZE have been around for almost a Year, i figured that it was common knowledge that the FUZE has a minor layout difference compared to the Touch Pro...
Also, NaTF who asked for the Package has a FUZE, so i didnt bother releasing a Package for the Touch Pro, Thanks for picking up my slack!!

Tap it once to bring up the new "expanded topbar", then tap+hold in the top right corner. ;)

I downloaded the regular file (not the 200MB file) several days ago and those files weren't there. If you downloaded the same file, and got the files my guess is that the files must have gotten updated after being posted originally.

you need to set your pc to show hidden files, they are all there :)

I think you should also unHide protected operating system files too. Because the attribute of some files is System, Hidden.

Is anybody else finding that in build 23069 the battery icon in the taskbar always stays at 4 bars even when the power level is clearly low? This is with the stock standard (ie. not custom) taskbar icons.

The meter in the power settings is correct however....

I am haveing a problem with mail, when i want to setup gmail acount everything goes fine until it says recieving headers, than diamond freezes(wheni softreset i get mail, so it recieved mail, but why diamond freezed(23060 build).
