Yeah, HTC's organization seems to have changed w/this newest leo rom.

HTCFramework now contains ONLY modules, & the files that used to be along w/them are now in shared resource package.

Cool, so sharedresource pckg is evidently needed (or rather, just that .dll; those graphics while sweet will probably screw up any themes we may have installed)

Who's gonna try it? I'm tired of experimental flashing, been doing it for the last 2 weeks for my own rom, lol.
I updated every package that was newer in the tmo dump than the version in my kitchen (had to use the older vga-ported .xml's for my diamond), but I cannot get htcvolumecontrol to work with 6.5.x. I may not be including a required package in there though (only thing I can think of). The graphics don't mess things up with the newer sharedresources and work fine on my phone (things like the time picker wheel thing, etc.). The other .dll's listed as being required are part of the SYS/ROM. Hopefully someone can figure it out. If builds like 21616 are coming from HTC, it would be great to see the EXT packages from those ROMs :).

No thats the way it works brother. Marketplace is constantly being updated and it doesnt hurt for the updater to trigger the download thats the way Microsoft releases their builds.

yes, you can do this with ervius kitchen. it's also generating a kitchen from it. for dump only it's probably more suitable to directly use the available command line tools. But I don't know. I have to check this one day. But since I'm quite new to cooking ROMs I'm just happy to have a working device ;)

use search button-->maybe it give´s a rom for your language of your choice here on xda developers for htc prophet

I am using some of the same packages as you are, but my u-tube is finnaly working on the diamond, after so many failed attempts. Sorry I don't actually know what fixed it. I did not 'change' any registies to fix this problem, but might have changed something the affects this problem unintentionally.

Your dshow is old I think. Get a new one, preferably around 2_0_1919 or newer since that would match the youtube you are trying to use. I've attached the latest one from the tmo 2.01 dump since I have it handy if you want to give it a try.

Actually, I haveNO icons since ALL of the icons from the tsowen I am using replace the standard ones :(

On another note:

I posted a VB script over on ppcgeeks that made recmodding files a little easier. Thanks to NightRaven, he has re-written a new app for vb.net. It now runs MUCH quicker. So I am posting it here for everyone to use. The program can be configured to use either nuerecmod.exe OR recmod.exe, just edit the accompanying .config file.

To use: Make sure either recmod.exe or nuerecmod.exe are included in the same folder the exe is in. Make a shortcut to the exe in your "send to" folder. High-light either one or MANY modules fodlers, right click and send to SuperRecMod.exe. Done.

I was able to cook my own ROM, by following daxy (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=572183) 's guideline.
But now my post vista installation(after removed the malware). I tried to re-duplicate the whole process as daxy (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=572183) 's instructions.
BUT every time I tried, I keep getting this (see 1) error message, and then another pop up windows saying (2) "ImgfsFromDump.exe" error

Thanks to the original finders of these new builds! They even include an xip.bin and the MSxipkernel for VK users. A little Merry Christmas for us all!

And yea you can use your languages from a previous build. As long as you know how to replace packages properly depending on whats missing and the circumstances.

It is working, although I have sometimes little lag(every 2-3mins framerate drops for a sec, but I think this is normal) in low quatilty it is working flawlessly:):cool:

I figured out how to get HTC Volume Control to display the proper icon in M$ drop Down TitleBar. I added new icons entries into shellres.DPI.dll matching the values from the htcvolumecontroll.dll. It's looking for those same value in shellres but because they didn't exist it takes Start icon as it's the lowest value icon existing.

Ive noticed for both 21056 and 21887 QVGA that the phone dpi's are missing. I mean the actual .gif images from Phone_DPI_96 and Phone_dpi_96_resh_240_resv_320. Replace those from a previous 6.5 build. Just trying to save you the hassle of building more than a few times thankfully I have a test device and noticed the phone was displayed incorrectly the first time. There are a few more quirks you will notice as well but these new builds sure do hold up nice on memory. In base_dpi_96_resh_240_resv_320 the classicblue_stwater_240_320.jpg and classicblue_stwater_320_240.jpg are actually black so if you wanted the classic blue theme to be normal replace those from a previous 6.5 build. In Redist_dpi_96_resh_240_resv_320 the welcomehead.96.png is nice but is in chinese. Replace that. You can ditch the gb18030 package from the SYS as that is for chinese font compression and takes up a lot of memory. If you use a dummy custsat.dll delete the one from redist package not sure why these builds have that in there they are the first I have seen to come with it in there instead of SQM package which doesnt exist. And thats about it other than replacing your language files and double checking to make sure you included every needed package that wasnt included, use things from a previous build. Hope this helps others as well. Merry Christmas.

When I try ton setup my hotmail. It starts windows live but when I continue it gives me an error that sync can not be completed...

Some has an sollution for this problem without using old packages...

Err, what does "MS should of never released these unfinished builds to begin with" have anything to do with apps not closing when "X" is tapped? It is by design since the first WM. Tapping "X" never close any apps and it is by design. It is always 3rd party tools that make the "X" close any apps which HTC always include in their products.

My guess is your have to have an empty folder with your build number in EXT/{yourdevice} or at least other build number.

My guess is your have to have an empty folder with your build number in EXT/{yourdevice} or at least other build number.

Err, what does "MS should of never released these unfinished builds to begin with" have anything to do with apps not closing when "X" is tapped? It is by design since the first WM. Tapping "X" never close any apps and it is by design. It is always 3rd party tools that make the "X" close any apps which HTC always include in their products.

Yea you are right I do remember trying an older build at one time without HTC task manager and all it would do is minimize the app. And the reason the new builds dont work right with HTC task manager now is because of the X button location. The API hook in HTC TM thinks it should be in the top right corner. Pitty shame there isnt a real stable TM that works for the new builds yet though. I cook in HTC task manager plus QuickMenu with the settings tuned so the X is in the right corner but its transparent. And also I can close any App on my device using the Hardware OK key. If anyone wants to try it make sure you have HTC TM installed first then install this CAB and soft reset.

Remove the shortcut "poutlook.lnk" from the device memory/windows/startup folder and reboot.

Sounds like your system is missing Poutlook.exe. Do a search on that particular builds system files (using computer) for Poutlook.exe and see if anything turns up.

poutlook is used to handle your contacts... plus message (i think).

I have such problem before and normally due to other packages. Try cooking a truely raw rom (only SYS+ROM+OEM). It should starts fine. Then try adding your EXT packages one by one until you find the one that causes the problem. For a quick start, try removing packages that run at boot-up first.

k, i am re-organizing my Ervius visual kitchen and am now getting an error "you need to specify the "ext build" first!!!" i cannot find where to do this any any way to, the drop down box is empty. only thing i can do is rename the packages folder back to what i had changed it to long ago. when i changed it then, i do not recall having to do anything special other than just rename the folder.

Under device tab click device, manually type in device id (RAPH800) and chunk (64). Thats touch pro at least. Hope it helps.

Does anyone have a working VK 28014 Xip and SYS VGA? I have tried both the ones posted a while ago, none of which I am able to build using VK, keeps terminating with 'runtime terminated in an unusual way etc' I have tried manually exporting XIP, checked my EXT etc etc but to no avail.

I have a HD2 and my rom is a fattie on modules, about 700 of them. I need to check my memory map, but how many modules can the device handle? What dll´s in SYS (Using VK) should i recmod to get 0 modules in slott 0? I kind of know the basics about how the memory, 6.5 kernel etc works, but not what files i should recmod. "Another recmod question", iknow but please help :)

Ok friend, i cook 0C0A roms and this is what you have to do:
1º You don't have to touch nothing in boot.rgu
2º You need an italian lang package, which includes all the sys langs
3º I don't use visual, but PRB. In the basic is all the same: change all the 0409 files (all carpet) with the italian one.
4º you need to use an italian OEM and italian packages. (Can obtain it from an official rom.)
and that's all

With the 21885 sys, you can use a reg to remove the clock. It's possible.I want to see now if i can put the taskmanager instead.

I dont think its a dpi problem. I have it aswell on my wvga device and see it come by every few builds. i guess its a cosmetic bug in 28014

If you are cooking for LEO/HD2, you don't need to recmod anything, there's a native 6.5 nk.exe already there, have a look at your OEMXIPKernel files

look in initflashfiles.dat you will see most of them in there you can edit them how you want :)

Anyone know why builds 21056 and 21887 both making "clicking" sounds when accessing menus? Also the Welcome Screen or Tap here to begin makes no beeps when it first starts up like it used to.. Dang chinese and their tweaks to these builds. I had to do so much work to get these builds to work right period now I am noticing this.. Very annoying. And also it has nothing to do with the Screen Taps settings because those are off..

Edit: Fixed it! No more screen clicks with start menu or menus themselves. And no more extra notification thats in characters (all squares in sounds and notifications at the bottom of events).

i found some more errors in this build...(28014 ported to German for HTC1)
in 28008 everything works ok...

- when i use startmenue-help (i cannot select an other menupoint, the blue
scrollbar is not moveable)

-same for startmenü-first steps (no window will be open, the display will be broken, only the "x" button i can choose to close the transparent window...

I suppose the date means nothing - they (COM3) just did not update the phone part. The build is definitely newer (I mean 23094) than 28014.

SOHKis, I already cooked three different variants of 23094. Made tests with SKTools - not better or worse than other builds. :) So - conclusion - ordinary good build.

ok so the last cpl builds i have an issue with the soft reset and low battery.
it goes into hardreset mode and then to old style 6.1 pro.. icons and system look..even tou the bottom bar selections are there and the system reacts like6.5 just reverts..what do i need to make this not return to the 6.1 interface ?? it also fails to sinc and jayo wont connect for me to take pics

thanks for your information... i have read it, but a rom cooker notice the build as wm 6.5.3 release, so i think this notice is wrong.
in my opinion i think lg release 236xx is wm 6.5.1...

23094 was built dec 23, im pretty sure that is the latest build from that branch. there are some newer builds, just not in the 230xx branch.....i guess they wont work?

remove the HTCnotification enhancement package from your build, that should remove the htc notification manager.

not sure how or if you can remove the enlarged drop down bar that is present in the new 6.5.x builds.

he works at uploading today (his today, which is still about 12 hours I guess :D)
it's still wmd, 6.5.3.3 with "much improved ie" (his words :D)

I have it but WVGA and 0409 only :).

It is WMD. Branches sometimes bump up in numbers, it is normal. :) This is now 6.5.3.3

Uploading now, eta 13 minutes. It will be a rollup package only unless there are many requests for seperate uploads, download statistics seem to indicate the rollup is much more popular :)
