I'm having problem with incoming call using HTC Rhodium Dialer with build 28205 and 23620. During incoming all, the caller information is not available (no contact number, no photos, etc).

I have no such problem with ealier builds (all builds before 28014 and 21619). Anyone has any idea how to solve this?

EDIT: Also, when I try to call a number, it is shows that it is dialing the wrong number (it appears as if it is dialing the number previously at the top of the last calls list when it is in actual fact dialing the correct number)! This is obviously a major issue for me at the moment...

With a freshly updated build of this release, the font in Opera turns into wingdings, does anyone know how to change it to its regular font when I cook my rom?

For the record, I just updated this build without adding any tweaks or new packages, and my old build had Opera's normal font, so I'm assuming the font problem is with this release.

I just re-cooked using this workaround (used 28008 Phone and PhoneRedist), and although it fixes the incoming caller problem, the phone canvas now crashes/hangs when I hang up from a call. This happens every time I end a call. Reverting back to the WM dialer fixes all problems, but obviously I'd like to find a solution to the problems with my beloved Rhodium canvas (which supports video calling)

i have had the same problem....for make my german rom

Solution for me was...kill all previous build´s....all that have to do with previous builds.....and in OEMXipKernel is the boot.rgu....edit it and search MUI....and set it to 0409 (for english)

also you need to check in OEM....for 410/409 and also in OEM the initflashfiles is 409...

To get OEM dump from Orginal rom or search....(eg. the initflashfiles is on the first page of this thread.... :)

I found that Base_DPI_192 was missing some files for the buttons and what-not-I guess it could just be because I'm using an older .tsk. Anyway, 'ok' buttons weren't skinned, and including the .png's from 28008 fixes it. Here's what was missing for me:

The only thing I've notice different with PIE is that it dumps the .3gp stream from youtube and opens up HTC Streaming Player (works pretty well). Before, I was getting .flv streams in the browser.

Recmodding and Slot-0
I have been trying to find out more about what to recmod and what not to in order to keep the virtual memory in slot-0 as large as possible.

Post #2 of Da_G's thread at XDA has a lot of good info.

SOHKis and I were discussing this in the VK Tips thread and decided it warranted a thread of it's own.

The basic idea is to compile a list of what files should be recmodded and which should be modules.

From what I understand (please correct me if I am wrong), resource files should remain modules so that they will get allocated for another slot besides 0. I am going to try and recmod some files in the system and look at them with a resource explorer (PE Explorer has been suggested) to see what's what.

The following list is a work in progress. If there are any issues after recmodding these, please post your results and I will update the list.

the easiest way is search for prefabricated kitchen...and change the sys to 28014...and so on..... :)

Here's a stupid question, I've put everything into the kitchen and compiled a bare ROM for my TP. Everything appears to function except the active sync portion. I can charge with the USB>PC connection, but I can't get an Active Sync connection or request of any sort.

Had the same situation with the 28011 ROM, just haven't been able to figure out which module I'm missing or I need. :confused:

I'm leaning toward the OEMXIPKernel maybe being the issue. The one I have is from Indagrooves kitchen which was for a Raphael. Other then that, everything else is straight from the ROM (SYS & XIP) that DA_G uploaded and most recently the one you uploaded.

Oh, btw, it was 28008 not 28011 that I was using. My bad. :)

EDIT: I've also tried using both DA_G and muttim86's OEMXipKernels linked at this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5073654&postcount=9055) but neither allows it to go past the TouchPro screen after it resets. The one I have at least allows the phone to boot fully.

Buttons are not missing, but themes have changed. Each theme is using its own set of buttons. (Eg. classicblue_PushButtonFocus.png, dvfgreen_PushButtonFocus.png) The *.tsk files from older builds will not work unless u rename the buttons. (i.e. classicblue_PushButtonFocus.png renamed to PushButtonFocus.png)

Anyone have a good tutorial for creating an OEMXipKernel from your existing phone, phone dump or NBH file?

I tried using the tutorial at the following location (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541504&page=2), steps 1-21 which appears to extract the OEMXipKernel as well as MSXipKernel from the NBH file from the Stock Sprint ROM, but when I copy the OEMXipKernel into the kitchen, I can't get past the initial boot screen which shows the radio version and such.

If I cook this build it gives me an error that there is inssuficient memory or one of the components is missing...

If I just change to another build and do not touch my EXT folder it works fine...???

With the very limited experience I have using Beyond Compare, in the PhoneRedist folder, the only difference I see between 28205 and 28014 is in the cplphone.dll and the cprog.exe files.

I have been trying to find out more about what to recmod and what not to in order to keep the virtual memory in slot-0 as large as possible.

Post #2 of Da_G's thread at XDA has a lot of good info.

SOHKis and I were discussing this in the VK Tips thread and decided it warranted a thread of it's own.

The basic idea is to compile a list of what files should be recmodded and which should be modules.

From what I understand (please correct me if I am wrong), resource files should remain modules so that they will get allocated for another slot besides 0. I am going to try and recmod some files in the system and look at them with a resource explorer (PE Explorer has been suggested) to see what's what.

The following list is a work in progress. If there are any issues after recmodding these, please post your results and I will update the list.

thanks for sharing this info. i also tried phone and phoneredist from 28008 and it caused the phone to hang after a call (but fixed the no caller pic/name problem).

now i used phone and phoneredist from 28205 and just cprog.exe from 21619 and it seems to work. didn't receive a call but after hanging up from a call seems to work.

Well, i cooked 28014 0C0A rom, and use the cprog.exe and the tpcutil.dll to fix the canvas bar issue, but i notice with this you can't create a new outlook contact.......someone else has this issue???

Most likely you edited StartMenu_Global_800x480 in base_DPI_XXX replace it with the default one it will fix the scrolling issue in the start memu.

It's working fine for me; are you using an older .tsk package? That gave me problems in my first go-round, because each theme is now looking for a different set of .png's.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Are you saying that the shortcuts didn't appear? Or that when you open the apps, there's an issue? I don't have problems with either. I mentioned the .tsk files, because withe the older ones I was missing some buttons in pop-ups. I don't know why you menu only has exit as an option. At least in the weather widget, I've got full functionality.

For me, recooking with just the PhoneRedist from 21619 and all other packages (including Phone) from 28205 still resulted in the same problems: Although the caller-id issue is fixed on incoming calls, upon ending calls the phone hangs badly and crashes - plus all calls are not added to the call history/list... :( Thanks for uploading the 21619 PhoneRedist anyway.

I've gotten slide to answer working by replacing only cprog.exe (used the one from 28011) as was suggested earlier in the thread. My call history looks like it works fine. Haven't noticed anything else out of the ordinary.

Ok great news, thankyou, how about caller ID and has the phone crashed when the call has ended?

EDIT: slide to answer working fine without replacing cprog.exe for me (modified Rhodium dialer) everything is perfect, even call history is fine except caller ID.

I've seen this when trying themes that are not compatible with wm 6.5.x - also taskbar icons from 6.5 can cause this.

In my ROM I replaced all the phone & phoneredist packages (dpi, res, & shared) with those from 28011.

I had tried just replacing SHARED/COMMON/PhoneRedist but had dialer & curtain scrollbar issues in VGA when dialing from Manila.

So far so good...

are you using custom shellres.dll.????.mui...should be there your problem...disable it, disable any of your shell customizations and check if all is good...
another thing that may cause is using a custom wm6.5 theme that was not made for that build...

i read this and tested it immediatly. used cprog.exe and mxipupdate_metabase_001.provxml from 28014. still hangs a bit after a call. using 2.01 dialer (2.01 rom) but the call history is not displayed (just the ones inserted via pim-backup.

any progress? i'm sure we can fix this together... xda unite!!!

* Home settings not working
* receiving calls not working, fixed by replacing phone redist and another package.
* Comm manager is not working
* theme ugly, this build ignored HTC animation and operator package.

I had to reflash to 618 to check whether I'd missed the option in messaging to show email preview - which I hadn't, because it aint there - and the option to display according to sender (conversation) as well as the usual - ie date received, etc - is great :)

Has MS made a new SIP already? If yes, in which build is it included?
Can this (and the threaded e-Mail) be ripped to use it in other builds like the 28205? I hope someone can share the files (I would need dpi96 and lang 0407 :D ). Thank you!

I'm starting the upload right now. It will be 23517 All DPI 0409 lang sith recmodded files and untouched modules in it. Since I cook for both a CDMA Diamond and CDMA Touch Pro's I need both. I prefix the folders that have recmodded items with _files_ and the ones that instead have untouched modules with _modules_ as seen in the pic below. Simply select the _modules_ or _files_ folder (not both) and you're set.

Since the Touch Pro has a native 6.5 kernel, use the modules.
