Wait....what? WM6.5 is based on CE5, and rumors are that WM7 is based on CE7, completely bypassing CE6 (Which makes sense). You're saying they're going to waste time switching to CE6 JUST for WM6.7?

well im not to sure about them bypassing to go to CE7, however i'll beielve your facts...

but if you think about it, no it's not wasting time for them, remember wm6.7 isn't going out just because wm7 is here. Microsoft still wants 6.7 alive and kicking even when 7 does come out. This will be part of their low end devices. So if they still want customers buying there phones, they better have a decent OS on them especially if there still gonna keep it around (and most likely updating) By the sound of it, i was under the perception that the user was joking around when he said that, but it doesnt sound completly out the way side especially considering CE6.0 has already been developed.

There's also no way Mcrosoft can market a low end phone and expect to sell it for the next 8-10 months if it's running the same 6.5.3.3 that we're running right now. It may be decent for now, but in 6-8 months against the other low end compeition, it wouldnt sell a single phone.

This way if they update it, it has newer features and is a faster kernel to maybe support any new updates they do more efficiently. I especially can't imagine to hard of a integration of 6.7 and CE6 especially since CE6 is already available.

Hi team,

I have 1.66 Leo rom in the kitchen and added 23518 SYS and MSXIP to.
I have successfully built 23518 rom, but some apps failed to start,
first i do search the thread and i tried to locate all of dependencies dlls and other staff - nothing.

The problem with Modem Link (ATCIUI.exe). It shows standart message with singatiure of resource mising error.

Can you help me ?

I don't understand why people are focusing on Windows Mobile for CE6? It's not just for mobile phones. It's also for DVR's, tablets, and a whole slew of other technologies.

However, i have a problem.
Some of the menu does not appear to be normal in Korean.
they is "Wellcome password setting page", "USIM", "Product", "Remove Programs" and some programs.

I have the png I know I checked. Not sure about the other but I think so as the other items are working. Where is it located in the Kitchen? I'm going to try to cook one with this key and see if it works. I seem to remember once before a similar problem where One of the cpl was using the same number or something.

yknow i was getting that when i had my kaiser back in the day, it would resolve itself after i flashed my stock rom for kaiser then flashed my coocked rom.

it's a pity the htc dialer doesnt work too well with it, otherwise it's perfect.
(that's why I want to see what 2.04/2.06 brings us).

I'm using the cprog from 23518 with my leo (and got rid of the leo_overbump) so I get incoming caller ID working..
getting rid of the overbump seems to have helped with fix some of the stability issues caused by using an alien cprog (top bar crashing after a call).

Old style Outlook. It's fast, as all WMD builds are, but I guess only VGA devices can see the actual changes. I'm attaching a Diffmerge file to show changes v.28205. Had no issues with it for the last 12 hrs

I figured out how to get HTC Volume Control to display the proper icon in M$ drop Down TitleBar. I added new icons entries into shellres.DPI.dll matching the values from the htcvolumecontroll.dll. It's looking for those same value in shellres but because they didn't exist it takes Start icon as it's the lowest value icon existing.

I am using NRG 01/27 Standard edition ROM (23518).

I found I got the stock icon for notification and when my phone reaches under 10% battery level together with low battery notification I got 1 bar stock battery icon. How to change this to some other icon?

Second thing is when I turn BT on I got the sounder icon instead of corresponding one in the zoom toolbar. I am not sure what should I change in shellres to correct this issue.

28217 is working well for me. The only issue I see is that flash isn't working for me in PIE; I need to double-check and see that I didn't leave anything out of the build. In 28002 and 8, I could watch youtube videos directly in the browser. In 28205, the vids were re-directed to streaming media (they were 3gp instead of flv; not sure why). But with 28217, I just see 'videos loading' on the screen, and never get the thumbnails. I need to check if I can download off of rapidshare (need to see the countdown on the browser).

programatix is right (I also don't have HTC- using the i910), I do use the WM dialer and so far (~24hrs) No issues at all with this build. Your missing photo id sounds like an annoying issue though ;)

2. I dont have broadcom driver so may be i cant use but in other device forum i have seen that they did some mods to use in non broafcom hardware, can u do the same for opal(omap 850 device)

Running 23519 right now on my gene. No problems whatsoever, using most things stock, including the dialer. Cannot say if there are any changes from 23518, it is looking the same, i guess only minor changes. But build is good, contains newer office 2010, and conversation view in Email.

One thing is annoying me though, Sharepoint mobile is not opening up on tapping, not that i need it right now, but why isn't it working in this as well as previous builds? :confused:

If you guys have a DFT FTP username and password, open the site in Internet Explorer (ideally in version 8) and you will be good to go, or use a client such as WinSCP. Most versions of Firefox and other browsers cant open the FTP site.

Dont forget to edit the RGU in shell to remove "beta" from the background!
I am booting now and will check if the dialer is working and has the scrollbar removed. If not I will attach a working Phone Redist from Calc's 23518 kitchen.

EDIT: It did have the scrollbar, so used the attached Phone Redist.

I notice some missing grafix files. The top part of "about" under setting is missing.

I take back my PhoneRedist attachment. This fixes the scrollbar on the dialer but breaks messaging. I can't open any messages or create a new one.
EDIT: I am not 100% on this, but have discovered that the kitchen I am porting into (Calc's 1.5RC) may have some other depencencies causing this problem. Comparing PhoneRedist to an earlier build which didn't cause any problems - they are axact.

Who has a working fix for the HTC dialer in 23519? Thanks!

well so far after a mammoth cooking and flashing spree I think 24001 comes out tops..
it' has the beta tags again..
it's fast and good, very similar to the 235xx builds, but seems quicker,
23519 is the same as 518 unless there's a change I missed..

28223 is gorgeous again, with the font rendering well, and faster than 28217 if possible, it doesnt have office2010 and no threaded email, neither of which are killers for me, but the HTC dialer doesn't work still.

Hey stronkyz, Ermmmmm..... You don't get the OEMXIPKernel. It should be in your kitchen - just copy/rename existing one to 23518 and your good to go.

hha mann...now does any1 know whered all these come from? Any reccomendations? I saw that 24001 which is supposed to be the fastest, has the oldest build date dating to back to december, while 23102 is just a couple days old. however 24001 has the newest AKU build.

I tried 21884 and up and for some reason the lock screens will not show the notifications...does anyone know how to fix this so that when locked it will show the number on the slider and the tap to view other icons? Maybe required packs or a reg that someone might know about that I'm missing? I've tried looking through all of xda and also this forum but the closest thing I can find are the reg keys posted on the front page now....Thanks in advanced.

I don't have a solution for that.... But there was a new COM2 build (Original WM6.5 with Ttop start menu) that got posted here today. 21890. Also 21889 was a great build that I used for a long time without any problems.

Is there an xip.bin available for 24001? I've tried the tool for converting msxipkernel on a few builds, and I never could get a working rom. There is only one working kitchen for my device, and it unfortunately needs the xip.bin.

Ya, its quiet fast, although cant say much on my 200 Mhz device. But its good and is about 7 MB smaller in ROM footprint in comparision to 23519. :) Try it once atleast.

initial thought is this looks cool :D

In case you can't see it the HTC IME is all rendered in bold..

however this build has the dialer caller ID issues with the HTC dialer again..

On 23102 i try to change cprog and then PhoneRedist folder,the caller_ID works in both case,but if i have a not answered call,lockscreen and notification icon don't works and my Leo became unstable...:(

Why post a question that you know just been asked?

As the correct langfiles dosnt exist i would try other files from other build and se if it works. Hope it works for you :)

I test with the 23518 lang, it doesn't work, but i've try to made the xip.bin by myself, so the problem maybe a wrong xip.bin.
I will wait for a good one, and test again.
I 've read that this build don't have office 2010 so the 28205 lang, maybe more closest. Anyway if someone know the closest build, it will be helpful.

I feel the same, I can't see any significant performance gain over 23519, in any of the newly leaked builds.
