28223 can be found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=628948). The package is sorted for the oskitchen, but since it's not working with Rhodium(the builds don't boot with the same packages enabled as a bootable ROM in EV) I just "copied" the files into my EV kitchen, and have successfully made a ROM with 28223 =)

(the sorting of packages actually takes less time than the ones from the Rollups in 1st post at this thread since it's sorted in local folders)

Packages related to Manila must come from the same build, and most of the contact related packages. They are the StartIconLoader, Contact Utility, New Contact Card and etc. Else Manila would crash when those packages are called by Manila.

So other than the MenuBarHeight fix, no one knows of a work around for the SIP covering part of the menubar in the most recent build releases(23102,24001,23529). This is on a wqvga device.(LG Incite)

Good question. Modules from .exe's don't appear in the memory map or the module count, but I would swear that a few apps I have that are just an .exe boot up a lot faster as a module. I would say to just do it, although I've also run into a few odd programs that were messed up when modulated (reverse-mod? wussup with that name? Should't it be forward-mod? I digress, lol). There must be a reasom microsoft converts some pretty trivial .exe's like beam.exe and fexplore.exe to modules.

unfortunately i have a problem with the latest com2-releases ... i think ... i have made cabs that translate cooked roms for blackstone to another language - so far it has been working on xanny, topix, energy leo etc. i made them myself by collecting all the necessary files and doing the necessary registry changes; i offered it here and elsewhere for free and people were quite happy. but unfortunately since 21890 i am facing an issue: everything works fine except that the device doesn't seem to accept my shellres.dll.0407.mui as well as my outres.dll.0407.mui - but it's not that it stops booting because of the wrong shellres: instead it loads the still existing english-0409-files. how come? why is that? are my files somehow not compatible anymore so that windows ignores them and makes itself search for and then use the other ones instead? where would i find current german ones then (there seem to be no newer language packs around)? i don't understand this. but thanks in advance for any of your help ...

Sure here is what it looks like now. The bottom of the sip used to be even with the top of the menubar.

This is the registry fix I've been building in to all my roms for a while. It worked fine until this latest batch of builds came out.

hey guys I was wondering if there's any to bring the window animations from the older build 21159 into the newer builds?

I'm currently trying to do this, but I have no idea which files is which. I just think it would be nice to have animation back in.

I've tried to search the forum for solutions, tried many different apporaches but still have some issues left with my ROM... Hope someone cares to help me

-For some reason there is two "startup setups". The one with calibration and timezone + password. And the HTC one. I would like to keep the HTC one, but get rid of the first one... I've tried many reg-edits but nothing have worked yet :S

-Dialer has a scrollbar on the right side - anyone managed to remove it yet? Or does anyone know of a working phonecanvas with 3G support for Rhodium?

-taskmanager icon covering clock in taskbar - I want to use the X2 taskmanager also.. is it just to make a package of it and make an app.dat to include it?

-opera is starting with some kind of localhost site when booting up - the solution is to don't cook inn push internett or just disable it?

-Some error when pressing options in "settings view" in sense (sound and display + data)... "SettingImprovement not signed or not present..." Can this just be a mui error as I'm cooking a 0414 ROM?

-I also want to include PHM regedit and Total Commander in my build, but haven't got the packages to install correctly yet (most of the files are missing).. I used the package creator 2.7 to make the packages, but do I need to use OEM to EXT too?

Here's how to remove the extra scroll. For PhoneCanvas example.

Open phcanrc.dll with Restorator.
In the dialogues for your resolution add EXSTYLE = 0x02000000
(In the dialogues, ID starting with 8xxx. In dialogues MS, which begin with 22xxx no need to change)

This worked for me. I copied from 23518 to 23529 and it fixed the issue.

Replaced the following XXXXX build packages from 23518 or other compatible build SYS. Phone_Lang_0409_DPI_192, PhoneRedist_Lang_0409_DPI_192, Phone_DPI_192, PhoneRedist_DPI_192, Phone_Lang_0409, PhoneRedist_Lang_0409, Phone, PhoneRedist

It is there, in phonecanvas enhancement or something similar if I recall correctly.

Seems like you've implemented a positionfix for 6.5.3 into your ROM... It's ment to lift the "today screen" up to implement with the bigger soft keys at the bottum of those builds...

Agreed, I think 28223 is faster and less buggy that 23529, although threaded email in 23529 is nice (I tried the cooking in the hack posted a couple pages back and it didn't work).

How can I make EXT's of PHM regedit and Total commander? when I use cab -> oem and oem->ext like I've done on the other cab that work, those two doesn't get installed... Anyone knows why? thanks

1. inside the xxxx.rgu file remove header and put REGEDIT4 as first top line. and change name & extension to app.reg.

2. Change name of iniflashfiles.txt to app.dat

3. Create a file named "files" inside your EXT package and put everyfile there except the app.reg and app.dat

I've got a problem with my reg edits... they seems to keep resetting... Sharememsize is getting high again, push internet turn on again.... Even my phone canvas which functions perfect after flashing gets the annoying scrollbar back after some time of use or a soft reset....

I thought it was that till I changed back to old radio and it still happened. I am now using a fresh MSXIPKernel and think I may have introduced a wrong driver into my old one by accident as it is ok on the older radio. Gonna go and try the newer radio and see if it happens again as no one else has reported the issue...

if it keeps rebooting before it reaches the calibration screen then it could be a problem with the wince.lns file. this file should usually be in the oemkernel folder

Always check the memory amount after you had flashed your rom - if it's 2 or 3 Mb higher than expected - be sure - your rom would not work!

All the modules in Rollup have the same e32_vbase: 10000000. I don't want to start long and dull talks about that, but if your device has problems with rollup builds - use flash.dio and dump it. At least you will avoid reloc problems.

So - the solution for 25005: http://multi-up.com/220300 How to use the link: if the page is not in your language - find 6 links at the right bottom side of the download page. Choose any one you like.

If you have random reboot or non-wake-up issue or other shit with rollup packages
Always check the memory amount after you had flashed your rom - if it's 2 or 3 Mb higher than expected - be sure - your rom would not work!

All the modules in Rollup have the same e32_vbase: 10000000. I don't want to start long and dull talks about that, but if your device has problems with rollup builds - use flash.dio and dump it. At least you will avoid reloc problems.

So - the solution for 25005: http://multi-up.com/220300 How to use the link: if the page is not in your language - find 6 links at the right bottom side of the download page. Choose any one you like.

SYS and XIP dumped from flash.dio. It's only 0409 and 0419 inside but you free to use your own lang from rollup (but only lang and dpi).
Do not be lazy to change xip for one inside. One from rollup looks suspicious.....

Yes, and now I see that manually relocating the 300 or so modules I usually cook in is beyond my ability for now.

I think you need to cook the rom in old style using the roll up's and then dump it. That should fix the reloc issue.

Key words: "from FLASH.DIO". That means - no issues with wake-up or reloc.

I can not say with certainty, I am not interested in WM old style, but it helped for 25005.

Ok, which one of our files worked because I checked the other persons file and there is exactly not one thing different from the one you posted needing help with..

Mine however is changed substantially. Just want to know which file you are using mine or his. Like I said I cant see any difference between his file and your file I checked the crap out of them together.

Native kernel is IMO is a crap if you are going to build a full Rom with Manila,otherwise it works fine with stock Roms.

With native Kernel i was having issue with Opera,Youtube,Many phone autorestart,QuickGPS,etc.....now im leaving native kernel where it is and building rom with old one and it works very good.

Did you get QuickGPS fixed? I cooked 23529 with native kernel but QuickGPS v1.1.1919.1327 is not working. It downloads but I get the error:

"Data Activation Failed:
Location setting must be on so..."

If I cook the rom with older QuickGPS v1. 0.1812.3031 then, I get the error:

"The file QuickGPS cannot be opened. Either it is not signed..."

Installing sdkcerts.cab with older version of QuickGPS doen't help either... any thoughts? I would appreciate any lead on this.

Recmoding is automatic, and yes all netcf folder is recmoded.
But this happen both in 23529 and 23534 builds, and only 23534 is unbootable.

Yes, a DSM editor is very different. It's designed to edit DSM's, and all of the information is encoded (so to speak). Most of the info in a DSM is not a plain text format.

About the office - does that really matter? Make your Office 2010 Package (from 235xxx source) and use it in each build.
