Hello to all i havé used the 23529 build after flash when i connect in secteur to Charge ...it show the charging icon too lately in taskbar and when i disconnect it always show like it charging and it return normal after 15 seconds ...Will anyone please helpme to solve this...

There's a timer in the taskbar fired every 30 seconds with probably is used to update the time, and I think it updates also the other icons. So this might explain your delay. Otherwise, I think MS have broken the event notification when charge is going on/off.

Alexx~ compared yesterday - no one byte difference :) except build number.

the default and user .hv are pretty different
the 529 contains loads of references to htcdrivers.
the 534 doesnt but has quite a few changes to paging.

Actually registry is created during cooking :) How do you think you use these files? You may simply delete them.

With my build of 23529 and 25005 I get a bootable ROM, but it's checking SIM card satus too long after boot... If I press the "green call button" I get the canvas for pressing PIN-kode. After the welcome setup the home screen is kinda screwed up, but initializes after 1-2 minutes and function ok...

Any clues to get the SIM card status and the screwed up home screen to dissapear? t

I think that's because you don't have the connectionsetupdb in your OEM. Either that or your missing the ConnectionSetupWVGA package.

I've got both but the connectionsetupDB isn't from the same build as the package... Do they have to match? :)

I'm trying to find a program that takes all these files one by one and create ONE *.rgu file. When adding keys to the One.reg the program should check whether the key exists with different value and ask the user which value to keep. Is there a program like that? Could someone make one? I am not a programmer myself so i can't do it but i believe that this would be very useful for all cooks.

I had the same trouble in 21890 before... i switch to Power OEM drivers for HTC-MEGA and i didnt let it sleep during the booting and customizing process (i connect the device while booting) seems that my problems ends with those things i did.

But it seems due to diferent causes in different devices.

I don't think EVK uses the .hv files at all, it uses boot.rgu instead, and builds the rest from the rgu and app.reg files. Provxmls run on first boot, after the cooked reg is loaded.

.hv ignored.
Boot.rgu

App.reg in EXT
On First Boot, provxml are processed

Edit to add: Use CeRegEditor on the HV files in the temp folder to see what you will get, before you flash to the device.

Soft reset your phone and then install the cab without opening the dialer.
cprog.exe doesn't normally run at startup.

cprog.exe can only be terminated, when a phone canvas version is installed (tested leo fw 1.66 version vga mod 42G V2)...

without phone canvas:
- no oppinion to terminate...
without opening the windows dialer, "cprog.exe" runs too in "fdc task manager"...

Hi All,

- Recently I tried to cook a ROM with build 21892. All was fine till Windows Mobile Screen.
- After that, I got the familiar message : "Tap the screen to setup your Windows Mobile Device". After this usually Auto customisation starts followed by Connection setup.
- But it does not complete the auto costomisation i.e. none of the customisation cabs get installed. But connection setup is correct and completes fine. This is followed by soft-reset.
- When the phone boots up all the icons are distorted i.e. they seem to lost their resolution. Also not all the apps included in ROM are seen.

I am using bepe's platform rebuilder kitchen. I have no problem with build 21890.

Can somebody help me here? Also I want to know if .ROM/.VM folders in SYS are needed or not i.e. if the SYS I download does not have these folders then I usually see this issue. In this case, I use the default .ROM/.VM folders from 3.10 officical HTC ROMs.

.VM should be used from your original device. For EVK it should be in OEM/(device). .ROM is from the sys.

with this Fix you have the oppinion to run the latest
phone canvas edition on the newest build

this fix works perfekt with build 23102

now i present version 2 of my fix

changelog version 2 fix:
source: build 28014

- no dpi infos needed (now for all windows mobile devices, no resolution restrict anymore)
- no reg infos needed
- no wma or mid files

with this fix:
- phone canvas shows incoming dial information
- phone canvas display correct contact-information

problems occur sometimes:
- cprog.exe broken sometime, only solution: soft-reset

how to install this fix:
1. install version of phone canvas (tested with leo v4.2, works perfect)
2. end "cprog.exe" with fdc soft taskmanager
3. install "everal phone canvas fix 28014 v2.cab"

I mean if a lot (not all) of us use Sense 2.1/2.5/2.6 and use the HTC Dialer you've got to imagine that their specific HTC build should give us the best results because you would imagine that's what their testing/correcting.

Just an idea....i've never cooked an HTC build, anyone have any results on it?

Had to rebuild my 6.5.5 kitchen...everything runs great now except in 23534, when i try to run Word 2010, I get "word mobile cannot open. Please rest your device and try again". All other Office 2010 apps work fine.

Has anyone else seen this issue? Googling brings up a few results, but no solution.

Just an idea....i've never cooked an HTC build, anyone have any results on it?
I would agree, however the HTC builds have been 6.5.3, and it seems that ALL of the 6.5.3 builds have the issue with the HTC Dialer. They all appear to be from the same base, but perhaps expounding on different features, or made for specific OEMs (maybe some of the features will be merged at a future time?). Only the 6.5.5 & 6.5 builds don't have issues with the HTC Dialer, at least from what I've surmised.

Well, really, the .VM should come from the OEM driver set you are using (like for me the 6.5 NK.EXE build for Diamond).

I think building using EVK and no .ROM in sys works without issue.

What packages have you disabled during the build? i have a clean version of 23534 and word does not give me any errors. i am trying to sort through anything that it may be looking for.

As far as I know you should not disable FWUPDATE and SQM without providing the DUMMY Files for them,

I always set Riched20 to true while you disabled it.
WWAN is not important as it is for non phone modules.

Test by enabling FWUPDATE and SQM and Riched20 and see.

You need to make sure you have the document templates in the Templates folder. There is a provxml in Office Lang that copies the files to your Template folder. Check with file explorer set to view all files and see if they are there. I'm using 23534 without any problem.

For debugging purposes, try enable AUTOUPDATE, FWUPDATE and SQM, end disable dummy ones. This components very important for normal start.
Also, keep look in EXT LEO packages. One way - didn't include ANY EXT packs, another - try it all. IMHO, LEO EXT consist with many dependies, and turning one package on, and another off, you may get non bootable ROM.

I don't see a problem... If you're referring to the volume control screen thats the way it should look. Microsoft has made it much larger so it is more finger friendly.

Is your .reg pointing to a sound that you actually have in your rom?

IE:

Try the folder in atthachment.

Put it in OEM folder and be sure to have htcanimation.dll in EXT.

With a regeditor you can navigate in your HKLM\security\start and check the exact name and location.

initflashfiles.dat does not create links. It only copies files from one location to another and allows renaming the file.

That command is only used to create a folder.

Use a provxml file to set a png icon for a folder. Look in mxipinit.startmenu_001.provxml and you'll see how it's done :)

The problem is that a lot of the questions asked ad nauseum in this thread are answered on the first page of this thread. Also, there is an oft-forgotten rule in this thread to not post bugs in a build until you've cooked in a full sys. Well I ended up trying the files posted by Alexx. All I did was replace my SYS and XIP files with the ones from his files.

When setup is finished, I get "A problem has occurred with Runcc.exe and needs to close"...

I seem to have a lot of bad luck with these goddam recent builds...:mad:

But I prefer the old style taskbar. I have 21892 running great but some random issues with not resuming from sleep. It seems to be somewhat common, and alexx's files were apparently without this issue. But I get the runcc error when I use them.

you must use the 21892 from Alex.. if rom does not had dumped well then you have some problem like "wake up"

You're going to want to use the same OEMXIPKernel that you got with your kitchen. It's going to always be the same.

Okay. What I meant was to go into your kitchen files and then create a new folder where the OEMXIPkernel should be. So if you're using 24001 then create a new folder and rename it 24001. Then copy the contents of 21891 into that new folder. You can only do this for the OEMXIPKernel, though.

i think this is the timebomb issue which i read about in past. will search for a fix on this.

Just search the rgu in Shell for 'beta', delete all those keys and the expiration message will go away.

Click on Show Editor.

This will bring up all the .rgu files that are located in the kitchen. Scroll down to where you see the .rgu file located in the Shell.

Double click on it and it will open up the editor. Locate line 419. This is where you can 'brand' your ROM. All my ROMs I create usually have the branding '- Trib.' Put anything you want after the '- ' (and you also have to leave space right after the '- ').

You may also see a line stating a date. Just delete that date.

Then make sure to save. Then close out of the editor. Then go back to the main kitchen window.

Just for your info guys, 6.5.3 DTK, not SDK, has been released now finally.

It will work with the WinMo 6 SDK most probably and will add emulator images as well as few new APIs. It was published on 16 Feb 2010.

I am still downloading it so cant confirm what build it contains, but most probably its going to be a 2309x build. Will update here after downloading and installing.

I'm wondering why they chose 23090 when in SDK was 23096 (before they took it down) if I recall correctly.

Also, when you want to try ROM in emulator, you must replace OEM Drivers and OEMXIPKernel and it should work :).

- From last few days, I am trying to remove IE and add opera 10 beta in my ROMs.
- Da_G/Mr. Makk's posts tells that "Browising*" components in SYS are responsible for IE.
- browsingie seems to have rgus/.exe/lnk for IE.
- So when I removed this folder from SYS, I am seeing phone settings does not show the selection box for ring-tones. Also when the call comes, a white screen is seen instead of phone canvas.

Having said that, can somebody please let me know how to remove IE and make Opera as default browser?

All the bloody buttons and menu items of the UI are htm resources in shellres.dll.XXXX.mui and other dlls. As soon as you remove IE folders - you will loose you UI features

Are you sure buddy? Coz in the SDK (the accidental release by Microsoft :D ), the build was 23091. How come they gave a previous build?

And if somebody can get in touch with them, Please tell Microsoft to skin their up-down and date controls. They really look out of place. I cannot believe they never gave any thought to it.

You can get MUI files from Gen-y kitchen (for Diamond) or from dumped localized images.

you can mix language packs from different versions too... like the manila 2.5 lang folders from official leo ROM, with manila 2.5.2012...

you also need the oem lang folder from your device....
