Does anyone else have an echo problem with calls? I have it in my 2 ROMs using the TMOUS 2.07 dump as a base.

Are you sure buddy? Coz in the SDK (the accidental release by Microsoft :D ), the build was 23091. How come they gave a previous build?

And if somebody can get in touch with them, Please tell Microsoft to skin their up-down and date controls. They really look out of place. I cannot believe they never gave any thought to it.

Hey scotsman.. hope you get the answer for cooking another lang... and yes you need your OEM_Lang based on your another lang in OEM/device/XXXX/

Then you need to translate all the EXT app.dat's cause the links are diferent lang based like "Start menu" on my lang Is "Menú inicio" then you must to separate the muis into another folder like this

EXTpack
-app.reg (if the regs dont have links to another folder source place it here)
-Files Folder (with the files that dont have nothing referred with lang)
-0409 Folder
--app.dat (with the english links or paths)
--Files (folder with the muis and or dll's referred with 0409 LANG)
-XXXX Folder ("xxxx" means your other lang to cook)
--app.dat (with your another lang links or paths)
--app.reg (with your another lang links or paths)
--Files (folder with the muis and or dll's referred with your another LANG)

Oh! and translate the muis of your apps maybe you can have them from another source page or open the muis with reshacker and translate them..

and the last one... remmeber to change the boot.rgu from your ROM/device/ oemxipkernel folder regs from 0409 to your lang... this way it will detects all the muis in your lang...

You don't want slot 60 empty. You should want to pack as many modules in there as you can, since you clearly have a native kernel (or should, since you have a blackstone). I'm not sure why your rom doesn't boot, but don't waste your time rec'modding anything. That's not your problem.

I think that 6 MB is probably too small for the page pool. I run 12, and it works fine for me, but have tested 8 MB (sucked donkey balls), 14, 16, 20, 24 and 28. They were all indistinguishable to me performance-wise, except for the 8 MB PP. I'm not 100% sure I'm interpreting things correctly, but if you run devhealth.exe on your device after a reset, it gives this report (down near the end):

I've booted up several heavy apps (WMP, PIE, PPT, etc) at once and then run devhealth.exe, and the most pageable data it's reported is about 12 MB. Anyway, I think if you set the PP too low, you may pay for it in performance, and if you set it huge, you just throw away RAM. My roms are pretty light-weight, though, so others probably need a bigger PP (yourself included, it looks like you have a lot in there).

Make sure that wince.nls is in your oemxipkernel. It doesn't look like you had it in your SYS. That's a quick way to a non-booting rom.

OEMXIPKernel doesn't come with every build, you use the latest or almost any previous for your device :).

Eg on Kaiser we were using 6.1's OEMXIPKernel for 6.5.5

I believe it is usually casued by overflowing modules in slot 0 for non 6.5 nk, in that case you should at least recmod browsingie dll into files

for those having the Sleep of Death issue 23534. the problem is from your shared/common folder. I'm going to upload my common folder soon.

As you detected - it does not depend upon the source files. I gave you already links to rollup and flash.dio. There are no other resources. You are just wasting your time. All the links to different mirrors came from one rollup and one flash.dio. Do not expect that someone will give you a "magic" link to kinda "secret 28230" for private use or for distinguished persons only. All guys here have the same one 28230.

I uploaded an part of my 23534 sys that took away the sleep of death issue. I'm using it right now and I'm using arkswitch also and I'm not having any problems. the thing is, none of the othe people who downloaded it reported back if it worked for them or not. but it's working flawlessly for me.

As you detected - it does not depend upon the source files. I gave you already links to rollup and flash.dio. There are no other resources. You are just wasting your time. All the links to different mirrors came from one rollup and one flash.dio. Do not expect that someone will give you a "magic" link to kinda "secret 28230" for private use or for distinguished persons only. All guys here have the same one 28230.

23540 build has a timebomb and when I dumped the nb with evk xip was 23533 so i just dsm analyzer to make it 23540

sleep of death issue is related to the SYS source. in build 23534 I got it fixed by using flash.dio source.

23540 is from .nb so it shouldn't have this problem

af974 is right you don´t need to recmod you have 6.5 native kernel....

things you can try (i think):
one thing is i hear of problems with boot the rom if you have m2d inside and also the native 6.5 kernel...try a version without m2d

or try a version with the 6.1 kernel and recmod with this list....(i have found)

Betamark removal instructions are attached. Timebomb should be removed suring building in Ervius kitchen. I believe the newest com3 is 23540 but it is not a rollup package. The newest complete rollup package is 23529. If you are running 480x800, I have the sys and msxip for 23540.

I've had that a time or two, and it was a .tsk problem. I had a modified .tsk loaded, and it wasn't compatible with the new theme .png files. This may be your problem. Every so often, you have to update your .tsk files (if they are custom), or just cook in an old theme.

I find 23102 very fast with the bug in caller ID which I solve by coping the sys files fr Phone for another rom.

over all I also find 24001 and 25005 pretty fast (25005 has the same caller ID problem with same fix).

But others might tell you differently as it all depends on personal preferences.

You have to test the builds yourself to find what is your preference.

Find the reg key and delete the redirect in your kitchen before cooking. Think its in sys/shell

They should work fine. There is little to no differences in 23540 so I see no reason the lang and/or dpi files from 23529 would not work.

Are you cooking non-English ROM for TP2 or HD2? If yes you forgot to put BtRez.dll.04xx.mui in OEMDrivers folder

have you tried replacing browsingie, browsingcore, browsing, and webview from 23518? that is last known working build that i know of...i cant flash right now but i will give it a shot after work. maybe i should just flash back to 23518 would be the easiest lol.

I had this on 23518 and other previous builds too. I think this isn't related to build, perhaps.

and its below entries in the rgu of Browsing_Lang_0409 package.

I didn't know about your facing problems or I did not tried the build but on every builds I do this coz there is a another entries of same kind in the rgu of browsingie_LANG_0409 which may conflict. however, just for your kind info. :)

It is important that packages browsingie and browsingie_LANG_0xxx were added later than the Webview, otherwise it will be this error.

If you're going to use another PIE build, you should try the 28008 PIE-I've found it to be the best of the PIE's in the 28xxx series (I used 205, 217 and 223). Here it is, along with the flash codecs. I'm not sure if they matter or not, but flash works best in this build for me. I've been using it with 23529, and it works fine.

It's likely due to the setup.dll in the cab, which is installing reg settings, certificates, or moving files on cab install. You will need to figure out what this setup.dll is doing, which is not easy (that I know of). You may want to compare reg settings before and afer install with cereg editor. There's also an app that will compare your device between two different states, called sk tracker.

1. I want to get rid the vertical scroll bar in SonyEricsson Dialer.

2. Due to the fact that the above bar is smaller and the bottom bar bigger now that the start menu is at the bottom,

Are you using Calk's visual kitchen? If so, copy the contents of Base_Lang_0409_DPI_192_RESH_480_RESV_800 from another sys file to your new sys folder. C:\Calkulin's Visual WVGA Kitchen v1.51\SYS\23xxx\DPI_192_RESH_480_RESV_800\0409\Bas e_Lang_0409_DPI_192_RESH_480_RESV_800

There aren't any. As far as I know, the last official raphael rom was the Orange update (20779) from last summer. The raphael is pretty much dead. If you want new packages, you need to get them from another device like the rhodium or leo. I personally am just using the old ones Da_G included in his old raphael kitchens. They work fine for me, and I'm not a huge fan of htc apps, anyway.

Those arent new bud...

I mean this: you are in your today screen with chome... then an sms arrives... so you check the sms bronze plugin page and see the sneak peak of the message cause is large jijijiji almost 160 characters... so you tap on the sms chome page and it "MUST" to send you to the treaded conversation... but in 28230 and the same build com branch, it will takes you to the compose simple not threaded screen with the message you receive few moments ago... so... you tap on the icon replay and it tooks you again to a simple page to answer... is faster than load everytime the whole conversation and you know is a lil lack there, so with this new way to answer and receive from titanium its faster :cool: and if you want to see the entire conversation you must to go to the messaging app and open the conversation... tadaaaaa is there threaded... and you can answer from there too ;)

I tried the new 23540 build, but did get some issues... The startmenu wouldn't launch, the buttons for startmeny + other softkeys didn't show (just the text... which actually looked quite cool :D ). Any thoughts on what's wrong? I dumped the .nb posted earlier, used the sys + MSXIP folder (maybe the problem is the msxip... I've allways just used the folders listed in the rollups, but this dump also contained xip.bin). The lang folders from 0409 was replaced with 0414 from the 23529 build.

If you're familiar with changing build (sys + msxip), you should upgrade your ROM with a new build since the "SOD" issue is SYS-related... :)

Found the solution... It happened after I upgraded the OEM folder, and forgot to look after 0409 files :( The BtRez.dll.0409.mui and bluetoothwelcome0409.wcml has to be changed to the norwegian (0414) files from the original OEM folder for it to work :)

your trying to make a small resolution work on a bigger resolution which is almost impossible to do easily....

its a lot easier to go big then small example wvga to vga....but a lot harder to go small hvga to big wvga.

That is not true! I compared 23529 and 23534 with "Beyond Compare" (binary compare) and quit a lot of files/modules have changed.

What is the difference between the normal and the threaded email? Does it show email conversations like the sms conversations? I don't use email on my phone but other users who use my ROM told me that there is some kind of preview or something but no "conversation". Any roll-ups of the 23540/23544?

I'm using 23529 now (from Da_G), and it's working correctly. I've tried 23534 and 23540 from other places (Thanks to the providors), but without luck... Somehow the 23534 won't work properly for me (eighter stuck at boot screen or SOD), and the 23540 I don't have any 0414 folder for. I tried with lang files from 23529, but the ROM didn't work at all.. No start menu, freezes and programs crashed all the time. :p

Not noticed, but i'm using Inesoft (on build 21634) and it works fine :). Missed calls comed up in a notification bubble, but doesn't show in Titanium.

Yes the builds are getting quite confusing these days with so many new branches it is hard to keep up. 23540 is working great for me, what about 28232 does this have the Caller ID dialer problem?

some1 correct me if im wrong but i thought the 28*** and 235** builds dont have any problems with the caller id.

235XX don´t have....also 28014 don´t have but all wmd com8 282XX builds have the issue with phone canvas not with windows dialer

if the newest 28232 also have this issue i don´t know

I think the sleep but is related to some module problems. I had this with 21892 and after I made a new sys from Alex's file s built from .nb I have no longer had any sleep issues. The strange thing is that it effects different builds sometimes Com 2 and sometimes Com 5 builds.

i stopped using the leo dialer...and switched to the rhodium dialer...butt theres no caller id problem with the latest 28232 dialer...just cooked it 2 mins ago...i dnno if its been corrected? Or if it just never occured with the rhodium dialer...

It has no relation to the branch - Com 2, Com 5, etc. This is because of the way, which the creates dump.
