i stopped using the leo dialer...and switched to the rhodium dialer...butt theres no caller id problem with the latest 28232 dialer...just cooked it 2 mins ago...i dnno if its been corrected? Or if it just never occured with the rhodium dialer...

It has no relation to the branch - Com 2, Com 5, etc. This is because of the way, which the creates dump.

ill let you know in 5 minutes...i just cooked in the leo dialer with 25006

before i cooked in 25006 with the rhodium dialer and didnt have the issue.

EDIT: Just cooked the Leo Dialer into the 25006 rom and called myself from my work phone....no smudged phone number and no grey image...however the name isnt stored in my contacts and theres no picture assigned to it...i just got the stock HTC picture and the number came up perfectly.

someone correct me if this is wrong? and if the contact needs to be in the phonebook.

i can ashure you 100% thats is not a fake photon video, it is the real os as it was goin to be, reason its so slow and stuff is that the device show is a very old one, htc universal if im not mistaken.

ok, when i say i fixed it this was because it was working good without hang. i did not get the crash until after i did a sync with active sync. just did a hard reset to test and sure enough dialer and caller i.d. are working great before sync. i will try myphone and see if i get the same results.

edit: same results after myphone sync.

So, replaced files is not a solution for HTC Dialer caller's ID issue. i think it can only be solved by HTC.

Don't know I have not had it flashed long enough yet. I think 28232 is faster though. I want to test the 25007 also.

Im having a problem with build 23541 and 28205, when my device is on and i connect em to PC or Charger they done charge but if i turn em off and then charge it does, any solutions??

yes that is interested...i am using a vga diamond using OMJs kitchen, however his kitchen originatiated by using Calks...

either way using my SYS of 25006 i had no problems with the phone canvas.

I have this issue since my last build (23540)... but I also use new OEM (rhod 2.07 dutch) and EXT packages (LEO 2.10).
Do more peoples have this problem or maybe a sollution??

I've been using the Topaz comm manager for awhile so I'm not sure if this is new....

On 25006, using the wireless manager, there seems to be a newer and quicker way to set up a new wifi connection. No menus, just a prompt for the network password. Like I said, I'm not sure if this is new, but I like it.

On polaris rom thread this problem is a known problem....try:

flash Orginal rom + hard reset if you see the calibration screen after that flash your rom also with a hard reset....after a complete boot a soft reset

Here is how to get the owner settings back among others. Just add the lines to any provxml in your sys files.

If you just set up your start menu the way you like it (order of shortcuts, icons...) and then export and cook in the entire HKLM\Security\Shell\Startinfo\Start registry key, you won't lose any of the settings shortcuts. Just create an EXT for your start menu, and put the exported keys into the app.reg file.

More RAM and SOD are connected somehow! Everytime I cooked a ROM with much more RAM than other builds I had the SOD. So until now everything was fine when I got +-1MB with a new build. If I got a lot more RAM I sure got the SOD.

Attach your phcanrc.dll from that dialer to your post and I will take a look at it, edit it, and upload it for you to try. But you are going to need to re-cook as these types of files break and default to stock dialer if you overwrite them on a running WM OS.

So make sure you save a copy of your original if cooking any original 6.5 UI builds. Did you doublecheck to see if you have any corrupted or images named wrong? Well give this a shot. I have fixed quite a few dialers so far but I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Also if your phone is hard-resetting itself during a soft-reset, try hard-resetting using the buttons instead of just reflashing or clear-storage. Or flash stock, then hard-reset using the buttons, then flash your custom rom.

Flash your custom rom with official RUU...
That's why flashing stock roms solves this problem -- because the official ruu clears storage after flashing

Startmenu_Background_Screen is actually what you are looking for. It seems to be a really touchy file, if the layers overlap at all it will give you that effect with a black background....hope that helps...:)

For anyone with a FUZE and interested in saving some time from downloading kitchen files and messing around; the ROM i cook for myself as new builds come out can be found at the link in my sig. It is pretty bare bones, very close to just being a vanilla rom... no htc dialer, no manilla... there is a text file with the packages i did include, and its UC friendly. If you do use it and find a bug, PM me. I MIGHT sort it out.

I know this post is not 100% for this topic, but for everyone having issues, i figured i would mention this just one time...

Well, just got the Sleep of Death issue using 23541 rollup from the first post. Did not have this in 23529 at all. Haven't changed any EXT packages that I use from 23529 and have all the same SYS packages enabled in the two builds.

SOD happend after turning on BlueTooth and then device going to sleep. I am using the Modules folders from the rollup. Don't know if that makes any difference or not.

I am using osKitchen NEW UI v1.15 and cooking for my i910.
Other files I have found are quite easy to import to this kitchen.
How ever this build has givin me problems with .cab files not instaling.
When I goto settings/connections/connections, the contents of the page are blank.
Advanced tab will show info, but not tasks.

I don't know what else todo but wait for the "Normal chanels" to get the goods.

I think you are missing lang packages ( 0409 for example ). Missing/no text or blank page/window means missing lang files/packages in most cases. :)

ok i solved this problem, i had to include HTCFont_Link in ext packages....

I am cooking for an Omnia and have exactly the same problem i.e. all my fonts are messed up and symbols like the wingding font in windows are displayed. I would like to try the HTCFont_Link file that you wrote about earlier but don't know if it would work. Can you upload it?

Would appreciate any help on how to solve this?

As said, make sure you have the webview in SYS enabled....and make sure you DISABLE webviewCS...

Whoever dumped the SYS your using reset all the attributes, so just overwrite the files in your Shell folder with these to fix that

If this helps, here is the phcanrc file I modified to fix the dialler scrollbar on my topaz. Just look at the top lines for the files that correspond to the resolution of your phone, but you should see where to edit it - the lines added are the EX .... ones

I removed all files and referalls to 'My Dad's phone' but if I do that connectionsetup does not launch at initial startup...

That's what I (think I) did...

I removed all lines in DBindex reffering to the number which matches 'My Dad's Phone' (204051)
I also went through the reg file and cleaned that up...
beats me. For now I use old database and update mannualy my own vodafone .db

I was making sure you didn't change it... If you change it, somethimes that can break your sound.
