One question the Dump_PKG.bat is the file i need to use in order to extract the .dio files with xipdump.exe?

i dont know what is in Dump_PKG.bat but if you open it up in notepad it should say something like this...

xidump.exe -b flash.dio

that is all you have to do to dump flash.dio, if the .dio is named something other than flash you will have to change the name in the command of course.

FYI, I'm on 23557 whith manila 2011.3030 and Rhodium Phone_Canvas_Enhancement_4_2_51720111829_0 in a Blackstone (WVGA) and I have no issues whith call history because it is a manila page, not the original call history window.

I don't think that the file is phcanrc.dll but phcanhtc.dll for the incoming call at least...

i am using kaiser QVGA (240x320) with a cooked rom 23557 that has NO manila
I just want the dialer incoming call & call history fix to be within the cab files...so i do not need manila, ameba or others
I need help from someone who can hex edit or do whatever needed to bring the position up on those 2 screens for the new UI with start button on bottom bar like 23557
thanks

DFT does that to all their releases. Makes it rather difficult to see what packages have actually changed, but at least it's a new build, ;)

Well, I just assumed it was DFT doing it since it was only DFT releases that had all the DSM's displaying the same build number, where typically we see a range of build numbers in the DSM's. My bad. ;)

FYI, thanks for 23559 :D

In fact it shows Microsoft's attitude toward the version:D
In a formal release all digital signatures are unified (21057 for example); in a experimental build digital signatures are mixed (21056 for example); in a heavy experimental build even XIP and SYS are desynchronized (23559 for example)

When I recmod them, I assume I need to recmod all the dll modules in each of those 3 folders?

try using this recmod tool...and make sure that there r no duplicate files/modules...in sys/common like OS files /OS modules.keep a close check on that.use the recmod tool to recmod BROWSING,BROWSINGCORE,browsingie....recomod the entire folder.c if it helps

ervius vk will never create the .ROM and .VM folders anywhere.u will have to keep them prior to cooking.keep the .VM in ur OEM folder.and use any .ROM of ur device and keep that in the SYS/COMMON folder...i doubt leaving them u will have a booting rom

So far what I notice is that you didn't insert the 'MSXIPKernelLTK' into the same directory where the 'MSXIPKernel' is.

I also don't see 'ADC' and with that you'll also need the Lang_0409 file for it as well. This is needed for notification popups..

I also don't see a roaming manager in there. Add the 'RMGR'

Also, include 'WWAN.'

This reminds me of the problem I had with Notification_Enhancement_3_5_20113824_00. If you are cooking this package in and using Platform Rebuilder, you will need to recmod NTFConfig.dll. This goes for any 3.5 version of this package. Apparently, PRB does something funny during reloc that screws this module up.

But that still doesn't make sense - I'm not arguing for anything - how about the rest of 219XX? As I know, the last 219XX is build 21962 that released by DFT. Aren't you gonna tell me that the whole branch was fake?

219XX Was the very beginning of the GUI changes. While it may not have had the start menu at the bottom, it did bring the giant softkeys.

If you guys wanna have 23559 instead of 23558 - get your XIP 23559 from attach (sorry - wrong name of zip - should be 23559)

And - yes - it has the time-bomb - get the fixed shell32 in the second attach

Ameba .8 works with Garmin... instead of setting Position Fix to "All Except This"... make sure the setting is "Only This List" then add \windows\cprog.exe to the list:) (for the incoming call position)

Hmmm, no Welcome Center, no OOBE

Then it can be only RUNCC. Disable RUNCC as well or search in the OEM folder for
config_operator.txt
config_PT.txt
config_AP.txt
config_end.txt
config.txt

Check these files and keep only what you want to have automatically started when the ROM boots first time.

That's how they are "locked". Package Rebuilder does three things;

One, removes DSM files which is what is used to "package" up the packages, so without DSM's, no package.

Two, removes RGU files matching the DSM for the package.

Three, removes the last S00? file of the module. This file is used to rebase the module in question. Without this file, the module cannot be rebased/reallocated properly.

You can dump all day long, but reusing the dump is hopeless. ;)

Hi guys, I have a problem with latest builds of WM6.5.5 (I use branch 235xx).
HTC Calculator and Sense 2.5 Build 2012 refuses to rotate. With 21884 I have no such problems. G'Sensor works well for Opera in 235xx, calibrator the same. Any way to solve this issue? BTW if I have Opera open and I go to landscape mode using g'sensor and then exit Opera, I have Sense in landscape mode too until I do something that required to go back in portait, such as pressing start menu.

There are also other incompatibilities such as Volume Control with 235xx (probably because of UI changes).

If anybody have it, he'll share it definitely. Why you're trying to rush the community? Just please wait for releases.

Yes, I have. But I can't share them because I don't have permission from the guy who gave them to me. Do you want new releases everytime?! If I publish them without permission, we won't have releases anymore. So why we don't wait for public releases?

It'll release, today or tomorrow. What's the difference? Please be patient friends.

I use all the 235** builds for many months and the errors you describe I do not have...even volume control works fine...think you messed something up somewhere else...

What kitchen are you using? And how do you port the XIP from new build to device specific? (I just copy MSXIPKernel to ROM\Shared\235xx folder cause Ervius XipporterEx doesn't work with Diamond XIP I have. Of course I change the name of ROM\Diamond\235xx to 235yy - aka new build).

This is because DFT, XDA & AsusMobile.ru all release straight away... We've (Well I've) yet to see the other place releasing anything errr quickly... especially when advertising ROMs with new builds.

it sounds like the auto connectionsettings, in rom goto connections, connections proxyserver, and uncheck "this.....uses a proxy to connect to internet" and try again.

thanks, but that too is unchecked

the funny thing is after i reinstalled windows 7 i set back up my leo kitchen the same exact way as it was before, and this problem never happened before i wiped my pc... i suspect windows 7 is the cause but i just dont know how:mad:

I am having some issues with Outlook Email "Reply\Send" key, I remember this problem in past builds and thought it something that MS need to address but it has occured in 23557 and 23559. Anyone else experiencing this or have a remedy?

After I hit reply when reading an email, instead of the Send Key appearing, the Reply key appears instead.
Thereby making it impossible to send a reply.

Sometimes it is ok (i.e. the Send Key appears), but most of the time (last few builds especially), I get Reply Key instead of Send key more often than not.

Sometimes in the middle of composing a reply, the Send Key can changed itself to a Reply key, thereafter, whatever I have typed, the email can't be sent out. After I hit reply when reading an email, instead of the Send Key appearing, the Reply key appears instead.
Thereby making it impossible to send a reply. Please help if there is an available fix.

my questions about porting 6.5.5 for 6.5 device (hd2).

* Package Descriptions

Bluetooth - Bluetooth Support (for microsoft BT stack, dependant on build-time switch)
BTDUN - Bluetooth dial-up networking
GPSID - GPS Intermediate Driver, facilitates multiple applications using one serial port simultaneously
LangDB - wince.nls for your language (0404, 0411, 0412, 0804, WWE)
Livesearch - Windows Live Search/Bing Search
Metadata - Required - Registry Hives, Package Info
MSXIPKernelLTK - Empty ImageUpdate Package - Requirement for future expansion
ppgprov - OMA Provisioning Support, not in PDA builds
SIM_TKit - SIM Tool Kit, omitted from CDMA builds
VoIP - VoIP
VoIPOS - VoIP Part 2
Webview - IE 6on6 RenderCore component for OS use, WWE - replaces Webview_CS

please help me clear this things up.
i am building 6.5/6.5.5-roms for the htc hd2.
i am desperatly searching the following infos:

Bluetooth - not in official 6.5-rom for hd2 (do i need this package?)
BTDUN - not in official 6.5-rom for hd2 (do i need this package?)
GPSID - not in official 6.5-rom for hd2 (do i need this package?)
LangDB - only 1 dsm-file inside, no wince.nls (what to do?)
Livesearch - needed for activesync? removable?
Metadata - res/lang-related? can i take metadate from stock 6.5-rom?
MSXIPKernelLTK - only dsm inside (what to do?)
SIM_TKit - not in official 6.5-rom for hd2 (removable?)
VoIP - not in official 6.5-rom for hd2 (do i need this package?)
VoIPOS - not in official 6.5-rom for hd2 (do i need this package?)
Webview - not in official 6.5-rom for hd2 (do i need this package?)
WinCEnls_WWE - wince.nls already in oemxip (do i need the new wince.nls or other files?)

i'm also experiencing a weird issue with active-sysc (80004005).
it has to be sys-related issue (something in the packages above)..
i already tried various combinations and as was working one time but i couldnt reproduce it.
i did not save the set-up and continued trying to fix it before a tester pointed out that it worked.

please help me if you know something about this. thanks.

i am building 6.5/6.5.5-roms for the htc hd2.

Bluetooth - not required (I think this is already in OEMDrivers)
BTDUN - Not needed if you dont want that option
GPSID - nNot sure..this might already be in OEM?
LangDB - Not needed for 0409 language
Livesearch - not needed, can be removed (doesnt affect activesync)
Metadata - rI think this might be needed (not 100% sure)
MSXIPKernelLTK - Not needed
SIM_TKit - Not needed
VoIP - Not needed
VoIPOS - Not needed
Webview - yes this is needed
WinCEnls_WWE - You need either this or the one in OEM

WinCEnls_WWE - other files like packages.cif etc?

If asian users says that some apps in korean, japanise etc looks wierd, could this be caused by excluding LangDB? Metadata is needed btw.

Edit: Is gb18030 the pack to add asian support?

Hey ppl take it easy... the meaning of use the Chef central is just to renew the WM build hunt. Its a clean way to found fixes for builds.. this is getting unhandled to trace due to... sooooo muuuch unnecesary posts, and that posts starts flaming wars, none here on teh community want that.

1.- A thread for posting Exclusively builds.
2.- Issues can be asked in a new thread.
3.- In that issue thread experienced ppl will reply some fixes.
4.- It will be a thread especialized on post common Issues and its fix to search and found faster.
5.- Provides links or tutorials in the same chef central, cause is like a school.

Many ppl is suporting that new project in XDA, we all ask you "all" to support, Itje, joojoobee, Da_G, Ezthunder, Andrew, Alexx, af, and so much more ppl is there; this thread will not be completely closed and deleted... of course not is a huge source of information and unvaluable of course but we must to start cleaning it a lil.

how do you tell?

I've dump the dio, and XIP does show the correct version 23562??

The one I dumped showed 23554? I redumped it again and it shows 23562. Maybe I forgot to delete the old one before dumping the new one.

Haha "takedown notice" and 3 days after that, guess what? Da_G gives us another build! You have real guts man! :D

Anyway, I'm watching the COM2, any info liek what's new or something in 21901 and/or is it really COM2, not the old maldive branch?

Any person in the forum could help with a question I have ...

What are the differences between WM6.5 and WM6.5.3?
How I can know if the SYS is WM6.5 or is WM6.5.3?
What is the Range for SYS to WM6.5?, Ej. 21XXX to 215XXX

MANY THANKS TO ALL.
