I had a fairly simple desire to map in a hotkey to enable and disable wifi with a single press-- I'm using the current 3VO 6.5 ROM. I'd located the Wireless Toggle utility, but now I need to attach it to a key. I didn't want to use the T-zones key by redirecting the Short_IE.lnk, because I find Celetask very useful there. I assume I could redirect the camera with Short_Camera, but I kind of like having this there too. The AEBPlus utility seems like overkill-- I only want to redirect one key, and I'm a little intimidated by the "oops I can't use my dash anymore" potential from mismapping some keys.
The solution I wanted to come up with is mapping an Alt value to the T-Zones or Mail key, or possibly redirecting the Mail key. However when I look at the et9 keyboard mapping file, I see that these keys aren't even in it from what I can see. I guess they are different from the other keys, and so I'm not sure I have the capacity to add an Alt value. So these are my questions:
- Is there some integrated way to assign Alt values to the Tzones and Mail keys without AEBPlus or another utility?
- Is tmail.lnk the shortcut that controls the Mail key? Are there other shortcuts that also are involved?
Sorry if this has been answered before. I tried to search on this, but maybe I just wasn't coming up with the right search string.
Thanks,
Gnat
