A work colleague gave me a HTC Kaiser 130 in trade. Unfortunately, the unit OS language is in Spanish and I'm not as fluent in that language. I'd like to upgrade the unit to WWE, but it says the upgrade is not suitable for my device during the upgrade process.
Version: 1.56.412.4
Radio 1.27.12.32
Since I was using a HTC official upgrade, I didn't unlock the phone previously. Do I need to do that to be successful?
Do I also need a new keyboard map?
Any help appreciated.

The only way to upgrade the OS to one that was not originally shipped with the phone is to unlock and Hardspl it.
Follow these instructions and then you can flash any rom, in any language.

This rocks! I hardSPL'd the phone and loaded the US WWE ROM on the phone. Whoo Hoo!
The only issue now is the keyboard characters don't match the symbols actually typed. Mostly Fn keys. Numbers work fine.
Is there a mapping utility that maps the Spanish version Kaiser keyboard to the US ROM?
:)
