Question: do you have a CAB for voice command? That seems to be the only one I'm missing. Also, with the t-zones hack enabled, you need only sign up for the t-zones plan to get full data, correct? Thanks, I'll probably download this one.

I think someone's made a cab out of Voice Command. Search around for it. I'm on my phone right now, so, yea.

And I think that with the new T-Zones Ploan, you have to change the access point. My current setup is for when theold T-Zones plan, which can use a faster access point.

Well, I'm going to bed now. (IE is snappier, btw)

can this rom run with herald?

can this rom run with herald?

Yes, but your keyboard buttons won't all be mapped properly.

It's only the symbols (? / [ ]....) that are mis-mapped. You can still type, and you can get used to it, some Herald users are just used to it.

I might actually make a Herald version. I just gotta get my hands on the keyboard driver.

I am running it (aftershav3d) on a Herald atm. I have a swedish keyboard and the usual cab I use to set the hardkeyboard correct still works.

That's true.

I'm gonna be porting the newest build 23022 soon, guys!! It's gonna be a test build, though. Lots of glitches, possibly.

Look at what it's like here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544445&highlight=magnifier (Looks freakin cool!!)

Looks cool indeed. However, I am not too impressed with the new Internet Explorer, Opera still beats it IMO, but that discussion belongs somewhere else.

Lol. Well on this shav3d ROM, the Internet Explorer runs reasonably better, but, it still gets destroyed by Opera Mini. The loading speeds haven't really improved on IE at all. Maybe on my new Touch Pro 2, it'll be better (5 more days).

Yea, I saw that. Looks like a backport of the experimental build into the 230XX build. I've been sitting back and watching the changes. I might mess around with it once it's fully stable.

Noticed something strange when I tried to play a video (tried both .avi (think its xvid) and then to convert it to mp4). It runs smoothly for about 3-4 seconds, and then a small lag and then the player closes. Tried both WMP and CorePlayer. WMP just closes and CorePlayer minimizes and then repeats if I try to play the video again.

Notice that I am highly unsure this issue is because of the ROM. Didnt do any thorough testing of video capabilities in Ivanmmjs JustStable Micro, but I cant recall having this problem there.

If the problem does not lie within the ROM, is it then possibly a hardware issue? I am running my Herald at 247 MHz.

Edit: Noticed now that it runs smoothly if I turn off the sound, which leads me to think it is a hardware issue after all.

Nope, no Weather widget. That's the point. Stripped and shaved.

MSN Weather Widget (http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=180965&d=1240930284) (open the .ZIP folder and read the included ReadMe. It tells you what to do. That will install the MSN Weather Widget that's included in the numb3rs ROM.

Lol, I had Windows Live in the "Installed Programs list, AND in the "Not Installed list!! Lol. Fixed.

I can change the T-Mobile Logo pretty quickly. Probably will change it to an HTC logo. Or a picture of a guy shaving his face (just kiddin!)

And the "true" X button, where it closes when you tap the X button, that is HTC Task Manager, I believe. If I add that, then you loose, like, 500 KB of storage space. I think I'll leave it out, so that you guys can enjoy the most space possible (all these things add up). I'm thinking about releasing many many versions that will give you options galore, but I currently don't have my laptop. I also need to release an LZX version, that'll give you about 56 MB free storage space.

So, if all goes well, you will be able to select EXACTLY what you want in the ROM. But...I also want to try building that newly released 23022 build, so idk what will come first. And I've got other projects, etc. We'll see what happens, lol.

Great Rom!!! small bug comm manager button is not set by default to open the comm manager, easy fix.

There is no "Comm Manager" physical button. That's actually the "Voice Command" button. Ivan would just map that to the CommManager program in his ROM's.

You can change the buttons yourself, though. I'll probably be mapping CommManager to the Voice Command button later.

And I'm not working on that 23022 build right now.

And this was written using the brand new XDA-Widget, written by ktemin! The new widget works decently, if you guys afe wondering. Ok, night all.

New version(s) (hint hint) will have the ability to play music with the screen turned off. Many ROM's have been neglecting that, lately. Also, it should have the CommManager button mapped to the Voice Command button (for the version that doesn't include Voice Command, hint hint) And any other bugs will hopefully be ironed out.

Hmm, that'll be unfortunate for you, because my new "suprise" coming today will be strongly based on 4shared, and I don't have the uploading power to do a mirror of it, lol.

And at the moment I can't upload a mirror to this current version, sorry. I'm uploading part of the suprise, and need all the little bandwith I have.

A small question - in OT roms, long hold button 5 will toggle vibrate on/off. Does this rom features the same? If not, is it difficult to implement? I guess I can always use comm manager for this but I'm kinda spoiled.

Thanks!

I've never heard of that feature, lol. So NO, it doesn't have that. And I'm not sure how to implement that, either.

You can just slide down on your volume slider, and then go to Vibrate. That's literally just as quick as holding for 3 seconds.

I have no problem entering password, using latest Jbed build (20090216.5.1).

However I do have a rather serious problem: my phone sometimes won't recover from stand-by. I'm not sure what's causing it. Also many times when I soft reset (either using quickmenu or the soft reset button), the phone hangs at the orange screen and doesn't move any further.

My installed apps:
Quickmenu 2.8
Total Commander 2.51
lpaso TitaniumCustomizer
SmartLock
iContact AE 7.06
Thumbcal
Touchpal
CE-Star system (for Chinese support)
CE-Star pinyin
CE-Star penpower

S2V 0.38

Memmaid 2.3
TCPMP
HTC large Title Bar
Office Mobile
PocketCalc
Jbed 20090217
Skyfire 1.0

Well SmartLock is, of course, running the Windows Mobile 6.5 lockscreen, so that could be causing some standby issues.

And the reason why your phone doesn't boot sometimes is one of your installed programs. It's one that you installed to the Storage Card, most likely. Remove your storage card while turning on your phone and it should boot. Idk which program caused it though. And that'll happen on any ROM, with that program.

I'll try the "remove storage card" method. I do have quite a few programs installed on storage card, mostly to save space 'cause those programs take at least 3 mb or more.

Thank you!

I think I found the problem: the large title bar I used is an ancient version extracted from HTC touch, once I have that uninstalled phone is stable.

Is there any other recommendations for a finger friendly title bar? It's kinda awkward to have everything so finger friendly but that little thing. Thanks!

Should work.

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried this but the package failed to install due to security reason. I also tried the acer zoom status and that one is not compatible at all, which took me a hard reset to get rid of.

Fortunately I found all new notifications will change the today left soft key to notifications so I just use that. The original notifications (like signal strength etc) I never use and volume can be accessed from slider.

I've noticed the task manager being "funky" in WinMo 6.5.

After restarting your phone two times, it seems to appear. So, just let it be, and it should appear, lol. If after 4 resets and a day of usage, it still hasn't appeared, tell me.

A way of confirming that it's in the phone is to go to Start -> Settings -> System -> Task Manager, and you should have a window with four tabs in it. If that's not there, then that means I might have messed up cooking. Or, it just won't appear until reseting the phone a few times. Tell me if it's there right now.

Quick Answer - You sir, have 55% MB Used RAM.

It displays how much RAM is currently in use. The lower the percentage, the better! If you try to multi-task while using Opera Mobile, that number will get near 80% or higher, because it uses so much RAM.

Thanks! You have an excellent rom here and I love it. Only one suggestion though, is it possible to incorporate m.carolls GlossBlack like ivan did in JustHome? I know I can install the theme myself which I did, but the slide lock button is still blue and would be more available space if the classic blue theme wasnt there (no way to delete it).

No. There's no way I'm going back and re-creating 30+ variations of the ROM with the Glossy Black bars in it. LOL.

So yea, you've just gotta put that in yourself. I'm not gonna change it for something as simple as that ;)

But lol, I love how we're all copying how Ivan's JustHome looked, hehe.

Hey, with my ROM, you can at least play music with the screen off!!!!! I consider that more important. It's very nice to listen to music without your screen burning away.

Also I have another tweak, so that the Widgets install. On JustHome, idk if he included that at all. And I think I had another important tweak, idk.

But yea, there's pluses and minuses about each ROM. It's nice to have choices. Or, choic3s :)

Yes I did find the music going off annoying but not that big of a deal to me. Will have to play with widgets. On phone with T-Mobile right now setting up a web2go account lol. Any way to remove xda widget?

Just realized something else as well. The letters on the home screen are choppy, not sure if I messed something up while putting themes in (put in a vga theme first then realized I needed qvga) or not? I don't recall it being choppy with JustHome.

Just had it all typed up when it froze...

So, go to The Wingster and compare the slideshows of JustHome and choic3s. I think JustHome's homescreen fonts were a bit smoother, but nothing major.

And I think you can remove the XDA Widget from the /Windows directory. Should be near the bottom of the file explorer there. That might remove it, idk.

Idk, never heard of that. I doubt that it's related to this ROM. Sorry that your card isn't working!

Well, there's a download link for a HTC Caclulator here: http://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=99245&view=findpost&p=2436144

But I can't really register to download the CAB. I guess you can use Google Translator to register.

either apreincher or illconcepts already released a ROM with the newer build. It's called FingerMe Prototype Series, I believe. But I just don't consider the new build an improvement, since it's too early in its stages to be used frequently.

That can't be changed by you. Flash IllConcepts ROM's, some of them have WM6.5 with the old IE. Called the "StripTease Series"

pardon my n00b lls

but u mean use their rom?

Yes, use Mr. Ill's ROM. You'll want the Fat Free one, found HERE (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=553988).

There's no use in me making a ROM without the new IE that already exists, so just use his! If my ROM's fit your fancy, great! If his ROM's have what you need, great! And his ROM had what you wanted (old IE), so then it's for you!

Wow, I think you just edited your post, or I got lost in some time-forum continum!

Windows Mobile 6.5 occasionally has that problem, it's weird.

Did you install any programs? (P.S. you can just click the volume icon on the taskbar to adjust it)

Well I had the Volume slider acting as a Up/Down Selector with JustHome, so I think it's universally a problem with 6.5.

Hmmm. Idk. I've never had it go to the extremes that yours did though, that's weird. Idk how it could be solved, it seems to be an independent problem. Sorry! I guess that's why Microsoft said WinMo 6.5 wouldn't be for our Wings :p
