Opera 9.5 zoom settings

I search through out the forum without finding an answer to my problem.
Here it is, I have a HTC Touch Diamond 2 (Topaz).
Can somebody explain to me why on some web pages I am unable to have the overview zoom nor to zoom out beyond a certain point.

For instance, on iphone dedicated websites (you can try for instance mobile.pcinpact.com), most of the time the display is quiet correct BUT the page is larger than the width of the screen (having to scroll left or right) and it is impossible to zoom out the page so that it fits the screen.

I tried to play with adaptative zoom settings and CSS settings to no avail.

Did somebody know how to solve this ?

have you tried opera:config ?

Thanks for your answer.
I already tried to play with adaptive zoom and CSS from opera:config but no change.
Also I already tried to search the thread you gave but couldn't find anything relevant regarding this problem.
