Odd. Everything looks fine, too. Do me a favor. Save the kitchen configuration and upload it here (or PM it to me.) I'd like to attempt to reproduce it in my end.

Here it is.

Thats strange because, everything is the same as I had through all other kitchens. It stops at 4%.

had the same issue and found a "heraimg.nbh" file in the Release_herald" folder in the kitchen... I deleted it and i'm all good now

Thats wired because, in a kitchens past I had many different nbh files there. I will try it though:rolleyes:,lol.

Update: haha, you were right Dr.Gonz0:).

yea... it's a hit or miss for me, i usually throw any extra nbh's in a new folder or something just to not give the ruu an excuse to throw a hissy fit

lol. Yea, I forgot to remove that. In the past you DIDN'T have that file. I put that there for another reason and forgot to remove it.

I managed to find out that things like "HTC Framework" and the like are dependencies, for what I don't know hehe. After allot of trial and error I was able to flash without those items and not have any issues. I also found out using the same method that MHUB 6_35 is needed for the camera and voice recorder to work while the shared modules 1_01_1913xxxxx... is needed for the voice recorder to work. The other shared items I have no idea about. Hopefully this information proves useful in the future.

Slowdown:
There will be a slow down on releases for a little while for multiple reasons:
My job is becoming more demanding again.
My school is becoming more demanding.
I've picked up a temporary side job.
My laptop has a problem. When you open the laptop's screen to about a 85 degree or higher angle, the colors get all corrupted. It's probably the monitor cords in the hinges. I've never really opened up a laptop, so I'm not sure how to go about replacing them. I figured that I've always wanted a media center; I could always save up for another laptop and just use this one as a media center (since it doesn't take much power to run a laptop compared to a desktop.)
I'm hoping that the extra side job will pay for it... but I don't know how long it will take to put together that kind of money. (I'm not planning to buy anything past $500.)
So, for the time being, the project will be placed on hold... well, not on hold, but on a much longer production cycle. :p

Messing around further, the Dshow packages are dependencies for media player to handle video playback, or atleast associating .avi files with media player. Playback for some reason doesn't work... guess there's another package that needs to be enabled. Since I use TCPMP for my media stuff these files are not of use to me hehe.

Can somebody help me?
I tried to create my own EXT, but i have a little problem:
I have:
root:-Directory("somedir")
Directory("\somedir"):-File("somefile","\Windows\somefile")

somefile will be copied to the somedir, but it wont be deleted from windows. Is there any way to MOVE the file to the target direction?

Moving in Flash is impossible, unfortunately. All files will ALWAYS be in the Windows folder. (Which is why a good cook tries to link the files to the windows folder and keep them there to prevent duplicates from being created.

Hi Ivanmmj

SIP (soft input panel) doesn't show in rom which is cooked by SuperJustkitchen.

Had the same issue when cooking fingerkb in. The app shows up in the start menu but isn't in the list of SIPs in the options.... I remember in the just stable and just home series how it was cooked in and defaulted ready to go. Guess i'm just trying to copy the teacher. hehe :D

More and more it's becoming evident I should start tinkering with some of those editors in the kitchen. But which one???

ivanmmj
23rd October 2009, 12:11 AM
Yep, the kitchen doesn't make the cook. The cook makes the cook. Touch those editors. Play with them. Abuse them. They're there for a reason. :p

But yea, it isn't going to be perfect. Strange, though... I added a SIP and it loaded just fine... Are you guys adding one of the SIPs that I added to the kitchen? If so, which ones?

hehe they gonna get used and abused alright. Only SIP i've tried adding in was fingerkb and my previous rant talks about how that went down. The other ones aren't that practical to me especially since my stylus grew legs and walked out on me.

So how can I add SIP to my rom? I have to create from cab, but I dont have the cab? And the Cab->Ext program doesnt work perfectly, 2/3 of progrs that i've added doesnt work in the phone..
and
I've dumped my friends wm6.1 hungarian release from Touch Diamond 2 alias Topaz. here: http://dav3.bplaced.net/tmp/topaz_dump_61_hun.zip
In the religion settings, hungarian has disappeared since the kitchen doesnt support other languages.. Can i put it back myself?
and
The office doesnt work (components cannot found) for me, does somebody know wich dependencies required for that?

Thanks a lot for the support.

So would I plug the registry settings through the app.reg file in the newly imported package or would I have to edit elsewhere? My guess is app.reg files are registry settings that get tossed into the registry at flashing

Correct. You should also look into the SIP that I already provided for tips on registry settings.

You have to do it manually.
Yea, I have to finish that script.
The Touch Diamond 2 is not a QVGA device the SIP from it work work. As far as Hungarian, you can only use 0409 (wwe) sources unless I provide you with a hungarian compatible OEM and SYS for the kitchen. In order for the kitchen to support Hungarian properly, you'll need the hungarian parts of the OEM, the SYS and to track down EVERY EXT package in hungarian. (That's why I dropped support for all the languages.) What are you trying to get from that dump? Maybe I can help you figure it out.

Hoped that I can use the language from that rom, but its not necessary if its that much work.

IME_EzInput_Western_2_1_19171325_00 and IME_Engine_Western_2_1_19171325, or one of them makes the white screen again.

SIM Contacts doesnt shown at the first boot, but after a soft reset they sometimes come back (dont know when how and why)

What do u mean when u say manually? I have to set in registry, install the program from cab (what i still dont have, and dont know where to get :S) or how?

ANd one more question: what content AlbumSearcher needed to run?

Unfortunately, porting languages is a LOT of work. I ported the chinese ROM from scratch (as I couldn't find a chinese herald ROM) and it was a HUUUUUGE pain. It's possible and I've learned how to make it easier, but it's still hard.

Find out which one and I'll test it. But I believe that they TOGETHER as a package, not by themselves.

That's strange. I'll have to research that.

Open a CAB file using any of the readily available cab2OEM package programs. Move all the files except the RGU file and initflashfiles.txt file into the files directory. Move all files that have 0409 in their names or end with .HTM to 0409\files. Rename the RGU to app.reg and the initflashfiles.txt to app.dat and you have a spiffy new EXT package.

That is big enough. The orange screen takes a while to finish. If it stays stuck there then a program is having a problem at boot up. Give me the log again so I can look at the programs you added.

I noticed in the kitchen when building a rom I see files with names like this "LS_Global_480x320.cpr" being cooked in. I got to thinking "my screen ain't that size, I don't think my fone uses those files" So I pulled out any cprs and pics that weren't ending in 320x240 or 240x320These things were hanging out in the "LockscreenNonEA" package folder.

I think it would be safe to say that "LockscreenNonEA" is resource files needed for the wm 6.5 lock screen to work. I cooked a rom without that package and lo and behold the wm 6.5 lockscreen didn't work.

UPDATE
Same rule goes for the Titanium cprs located in the BronzeNonEA folder... if it ain't 320 x 240 or 240 x 320, what business do it got in the herald/wing?

As for my guess to what BronzeNonEA means would be resources for the titanium thingy.

All in all I managed to get an extra MB freed up in my rom by eliminating files that are non applicable to my device.

I had created an EXT for phonecanvas and hex edited the dll to remove the scroll bars, but I spaced and deleted my EXT folder when updating.. (!@#$)

using the one provided in this package the scroll bars return.. and the dll already has the edits.. so what am I doing wrong here...?

I've always removed the extra ones in my ROMs, but since I want this kitchen to eventually support every device, I wanted to leave them there for support for non-qvga devices.

That makes sense with supporting other devices. The fingerkb issue wasn't really too much work on my side utak3r's package had the app.dat information changed to reflect the version of fingerkb by giannis86. I felt that since i've got a d-pad on my fone why have the arrows on it? Anyways it works fine in 23071 but 23081 don't like it and have decided to give up on trying to get it to work on 23081 for the time being.

haha, when converting the cab, all the skin files are the same name, when it dumps them in the folder you end up with just Ice keys, so the EXT will have to be color specific?

or i can rename all the files and change the ext app.dat.... uuuggghh

waaait, does everything in the ext get copied to \windows, can i put the folders in and just change the app.dat?

nope, folders in ext = buildtime crash

You have to put the files in and create the app.dat that will copy the files into folders. I know it's a pain, but it's a limitation of windows mobile.
What SIP did I put on JustHome and JustStableV2? I forget.... was it the same? If so, I can just add that as a template with your skins and files.

Yea just red black only, I should tinker around and make one that's cool with all the skins, problem I am running into is that the program files are all in one folder and the skin file names are the same just broken up by folder. Setting the default has been a pain for me. THought that would fix the issue but no dice. I figure pray the user finds the sip change and does it manaully from there

You have to put the files in and create the app.dat that will copy the files into folders. I know it's a pain, but it's a limitation of windows mobile.
What SIP did I put on JustHome and JustStableV2? I forget.... was it the same? If so, I can just add that as a template with your skins and files.

I honestly don't remember what version you had in it either. about 50/50 it was the same version... I just remember it being a damn good program hehe. I decided to upload one with all the skins in seperate packs for cooks. It's the only work around I can figure out for the moment

I like the idea of including each color separate. It lets you choose what colors comes up by default, easily.

Make sure that you only use ONE keyboard driver. (Either Spanish or English.) Although the fact that you have both Spanish and English means that you are using one of the old versions. If the ROM is not booting, it may be because of one of the packages you chose. Theoretically, it could be because it is setting up the keyboard driver to use a particular memory location but that keyboard driver is being overwritten by the other language keyboard driver (who was supposed to be allocated to a different memory location.) Try only choosing one first and then we'll go from there.

I forgot to edit the app.dat files accordingly to load the skin file the pics were already cool but not the corresponding txt file. hehe my kingdom for a .txt file! Here's a new one all corrected along with the language and skin files that aren't included in the pack.

yo, dudes, I did one with the different colors, and with the right settings to make it default, and posted it earlier..

FingerKeyb-2.1-QVGA-Giannis86.rar (http://evolvers.net/Herald_Roms/EXT/FingerKeyb-2.1-QVGA-Giannis86.rar) - feedback/suggestions?

all the themes in one pack, except whiteice, that ones useless.. sets defaultIm to fingerkeyb.. uses blackred as default, installs the config app which lets you change colors, you can change the default in the app.reg tho..

oh and I tested it, worked on my Wing with 2307x

Which SuperJustKitchen version are you using? I fixed those issues a long time ago. To fix those, you will have to search the OEM's provxml files, RGU files and the iniflashfiles.dat for the file names that you're trying to remove. Or just download one of the newer kitchens and use the OEMAPPS from that instead of your older version. Make sure you backup your current OEMAPPS to be safe.

There are things that need to be changed on both the OEM_Lang and the OEMAPPS. I don't remember where exactly the things are, but look for "Applet" in the RGU's and PROVXML's.

hey it's been awhile since I've been here. So Ivan, so I downloaded the SuperJustKitchen 0.6 version from your .INFO site and Norton Antivirus picked up the following

Trojan.Emcodec detected on the following file

c:\superjustkitchen\working_folder\tools\imgfs\osn btool.exe

Let me know if this is normal or if it is really a problem because I would like to use the kitchen. I know Norton can be trouble also but I have been lazy to get the trial off this new laptop haha.

Trojan Details
===========
Emcodec

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Trojan.Emcodec.E is a trojan horse that is mis-represented as an audio and video codec for Windows-based PCs. It exists in various variants with names such as Media Codec, Ecodec, Imediacodec, IntCodec, Pcodec, SVideocodec, Video iCodec, QualityCodec, Vcodec, Zip Codec, zCodec, ZCODEC[1][2] and began to be widely used in spring 2005.

When visiting certain web sites, in particular pornographic sites, and attempting to view a video file on the site, the user will be directed to download this software, purportedly in order to allow viewing of the video. Furthermore, a number of websites have been set up to mis-represent this malware as a legitimate codec, inviting the users to download the software, allegedly to allow for the playback of certain audio/video which claims to use the so-called codec.

Once executed, the trojan copies a program into the Program Files folder, changes some registry keys and displays a fake EULA for the supposed codec.

zCodec reportedly changes the machine's DNS settings, monitors the user's browsing and acts as adware.

Some versions of the trojan install malware called Zlob, which in turn may lead to the installation of malicious and fake "security programs" such as SpywareQuake, SpyFalcon, WinAntiVirusPro or other malware; some variants also install a backdoor into the infected computer.

It's a false positive. My Avira and AVG will sometimes think it's a virus and sometimes think it's not depending on the current updated version of the antivirus.
The kitchen is clean of any malware.

On a side note:
Still working on v0.7. I've been swamped at work and at home and I finally got a new laptop to replace my older one with the broken skin.
v0.7 adds a LOT of packages as well as tries to organize a lot of them. I have also futhered cleaned out the device OEM's. I have also added support for more devices, so now it's:
Herald
Artemis
Hermes (with native 6.5 nk!)
Opal (This one was a pain...)

I've also ported almost every built that has come out since v0.6 but as always, I will release the kitchen with only the most recent 6.1, the most recent old gui 6.5 and the most recent new gui 6.5.

Hi ivanmmj. Reading from your previous posts, looks like your busy enough to bother with another pain but I'm seriously interested in the possibility of getting my puny device in SJK's supported device list? Would you please give me an inventory of the necessary resources required to make it happen?

SJK as it is would complete build process in Elfin without errors but generated nbh (> 51Mb, I've gone through this whole thread!) won't even enter 1st boot screen. It probably needs something like an Opal fix in the kitchen batch file

Thanks in advance for the bother (even in reading this). GBU2

Actually, I already have the Elfin/Elf planned for supported devices for SJK v0.8.
I'm obsessive with the way I strip down the OEM's in a specific way. :p I could teach you but we'd need some time to get it all done. But like I said, I plan to work on it as soon as v0.7 is out (possibly next week.) ;) I plan to add support for all the Omap850 devices first. Then eventually start adding support for all the QVGA qualcomm devices (as they add a layer of complication). Then finally start adding WQVGA, VGA, WVGA devices. Then... I'll take over the world! lol jk

Thank you! That was quick, expecting evening in the States. It's great to know that Elf(in) is in the SJK roadmap. Much as I would like to be teached ... we Elf(in) users rather wait a couple of weeks which should be in December where work should slow down.

Let me know how I could be of help when the time comes. For now, I can't stop you in your quest to take over the world! :D Sending you 'blessings'.

Wow, I know I am going to sound like an idiot here but it looks like I am going to have to figure how this kitchen works. Its harder than I thought it was going to be. Guess this is what happens when you do something for the first time. When will you add something that will let you upload a base ROM to the program? I think that may help me because I pretty much do not understand much at all. Especially on what to touch and what not to touch and what certain things are. I at least gave it a moderate difficulty until I saw it. Oh well I'll try to learn one way or another.

It's easier than u think, I felt the same way when looking over this thing. But the 1st couple posts in this thread explains everything... the fun part is selecting which packages to use and which ones not to use, that's where the fun begins.

It only looks that complicated at first. Read the first page of this thread and you will get an idea of what to do. The reason why I haven't created a "base" configuration is because on every SJK build changes so much, I'd have to remake the base configuration every single time. Also, I'd have to make a configuration the Wing/Atlas, one for the Herald, one for the Artemis, one for the Hermes and one for the Opal. Eventually I might do that, but at the moment, with how massive the changes are on every build, it's not going to happen, yet.

If you still have questions after you read the first page, I'll see what I can do about making a video walkthrough (although, I can't promise that it will be done any time soon.)

It's easier than u think, I felt the same way when looking over this thing. But the 1st couple posts in this thread explains everything... the fun part is selecting which packages to use and which ones not to use, that's where the fun begins.

I finally made a working Elfin ROM using SJK. It's a bit of a mess since I used pof's YANG to build the ROM but it works! There are no major changes in the kitchen_build_rom.bat other than YANG, disabling 'mergilo' and renaming of os-new.nb to os.nb. YANG entries are manually enterd but, I'm sure set command will work alright.

I personally haven't had that problem, but my wing doesn't have a sim card and isn't being used as a main phone. Some people have reported similar issues with all the 28xxx series so far but it could be from a particular software that isn't compatible with it. Which software did you use on all 7 builds?

Hi,

I tried to cook my own rom. When I create the rom in Ervius Kitchen, I come to the point that the program is executing Xipporterex. When that happens, Ill get a .NET Framework message that he couldn't find \SuperJustKitchen\Working_Folder\ROM\SHARED\28008\ xip.bin . I tried already re-downloading the whole kitchen from the website, but that didn't helped. Who can help me?

PS: The whole error message (in dutch):

There isn't an extROM included. ExtROM isn't a file, it's a rom in itself. My kitchen lets you use your own extROM. I could always incorporate a extROM editor but it would be a lot of working since I'd have to make it work well with every device that the kitchen supports.
The ROM you flash (the nbh file) consists of many different ROMs put together. (The Splash screen, the OS, the ExtROM, the SPL, the IPL, etc.) In this case, we are integrating the OS ROM into the nbh and nothing else. We can always expand, and I may do that. I just have to do some rewriting of the scripts. That's a good idea for SJK V1.0, perhaps.

That means that you are missing the dependencies required for VK. Make sure you install .Net3.5 and C++ Redistributable 2005/2008.

I'm probably going to release a proper installer that will also install all the dependencies by V1.0. I just need reminders.

yeah I knew it was its own rom :P I just was hoping to find an nb file in th kitchen as I do with others no biggy though I can just keep doing it the way I have been.

And yes that would be an awesome feature for SJK!

Odd.. the shared xip.bin is not needed, as I include all the required mskernelxip files/modules. Are you checking any of the checkboxes in the kitchen? (Make sure you don't check the old style checkbox.)
I'll try it later tonight or tomorrow (I'll be at work all day long and then have some finals tonight) and see if I get the same error.

I'll try on an other computer to make the rom for me then. See if I get the same error message.

Edit: Tried. And it's working. And now I'm gonna find out how to make your ROM good and fast.

I am on build 15 now and currently I have not had it reset yet so we will see if the items I picked now work out better for 28008, since it seems like what happens is the phone turns off the backlight and then you can not tap or hit any buttons to get it back and after a few mins like that it just reboots.

Any question for the Phone ROM Gods, No matter what options I seem to pick on any of these builds I can not seem to make it so I can access the Phone Settings area, any ideas there. I like to change settings like my Caller ID usage when making calls.

Thanks again for any and all help.

It looks like COM8 is a little buggy with most devices. I think I may switch to the COM6 builds as they are from HTC and modified to work better with HTC phones. (This would also solve many of the issues with the Opal.)

The bugginess and rebooting is a bit expected when venturing out into a new build country. I've not only had constant rebooting issues but also A2DP is also fidgety. I'll luck out on it picking up my bt headphones, sometimes it won't. It gets a little complex. I found build 23089 pretty stable... a bit of a memory whore but it comes with the territorry of 6.5.1. I read somewhere that the 28xxx builds finally have the "X" button doing what it was programmed to do... close out apps.

Something caught my eye that perhaps could help work out some bugs... In the kitchen I noticed an area "SHARED-devices: REQUIRED

Under it you've got a pack for 21xxx builds and 23xxx builds respectively. Could that be a part of why people are having bugs? would it make a difference to get a package up 28xxx builds? I don't know what those files r for but help keep the rom from crashing.

Okay... now i'm ranting :P

Being out of the game for a few weeks got me a little rusty. I have a question and it's pretty stupid but where do I find the file "mxipcold_wpc_2.provxml". For the life of me I have lost it's location. I was working on something and found that file useful to me and my aims of world domination err rom cooking. Searching, un-hiding hidden files, and yelling at windoze exploder hasn't revealed it's location. Little bastard is hiding out somewhere I know it is hehe

By the way, the new kitchen rocks and will be releasing something nice pretty soon.

28XXX is actually a 6.5.3 system. ;)
The reason why I had the required files separated was because I was having problems with booting in general, but I could always create a required files using 28xxx build stuff.
But you're right, it's a new COM tree. I think I may move to the COM6 build just because it's from HTC so it's been modified to work on their phones with their programs.
As far as mxipcold_wpc_2.provxml, it's in the "enable classic blue" in the EXT under Themes QVGA. I moved it there because it causes problems with other themes when they're being cooked in and enabled through cooking.

 in there?

That voice telling me "it's in the sys folders was just foolin with me. Hmm... not hanging around in "SYS"s hood but got it's own pad in "EXT"? Pardon my additional rambling.... I got sjk 6 chillen on the laptop, ain't touched in a couple weeks. I know I didn't delete anything. I made a copy of the file and tossed in my sjk root folder for safe keeping. Doing a search from the working folder for any .provxml files turned up nothing when it came to that one particular file.

I grab sjk 0.7 and it's right where you say it was.

You're right where you mention HTC having to write something up to bridge the gap from the work M$ does on winmo to where HTC picks it up and makes winmo not tell the device to self destruct err reboot while in operation. Whatever those files that are in that required package is definitely the kitchen's bread n butter. If only there was a simple way to take any reference to 23xxx in that package and replace it with 28xxx... probably fix it's wagon up real quick.

Pardon the mini blog, but every new revelation opens up new questions. So .provxml files are pretty good with handling the nitty-gritty. How do they differ from .reg files? Are there more burning rings of fire I can make the tiger err rom jump through?

Mental note to self... learn to make 6.5."whatever" theme. With the modded boot and splash screens along with harnessing the power of the .provxml file you can finally establish order out of chaos, on the t-mo wing hehe.

I'm porting 28011 right now. Maybe that won't have the issues. The COM6 builds are compiled with all kinds of code edits, so unfortunately, it's not something we can move over to the COM8 builds.
As far as provxml goes, they can do everything an RGU can plus everything that the old initflashfiles could do. And some (like that one) are executed AFTER everything so they overwrite ANY settings set in the kitchen.

You need to click on the arrow where it says Herald and pick the device you are using even if it is the Herald. You start with that box and work your way through the others if you are changing the language, EXT, etc.

Hope this helps.

Problems using the kitchen and build 23014

I must tell that I read all the posts in Ivan's cooking classes, and also lots of posts in this and other threads about SuperJustKitchen. I used Thahny25's ROMs during months but I always wanted to cook my own ROM. The problem is I'm an architect, planner, landscape analizer and environmental law analizer, so that none of my areas go into programming or developing.

I must also tell you that I got this build from the Hermes forum, and it seems to be adapted to Ervius kitchen, but I think I missed some steps (even that one about be patient and the other about having no girlfriend nor non-understanding wife)

I post here a link to a ROM which does not work. Can somebody tell me what is missing there, because my Herald does not boot ? (you can dump it using Ivan's kitchen). The link is : http://www.adrive.com/public/cf768bf36e8cfedfcb818d136873286aea6497a18b476d992a 0f6d30666de14b.html Remember it does not boot !

And if it worked, it had to be similar (but less apps and les memory footprint) to the ROMs I made for Kaiser using OsKitchen (you can enjoy it at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=550965 )

Thank you for your help !

I'm not sure what's up with the downloads. Next time I'll split it up so the downloads are no larger than 25mb. Unfortunately, I don't have any mirrors at the moment.
But you can reach the file directly by using this link:

well i started with 21877 build just for fun and i modified some stuff and it did not work. either (a) i disabled something vital or (b) did not enable vital. time for me to go crazy and figure this out. just for sport i will go to build 21054 and create a rom from exactly what is already enabled/disabled and see what i get. from there i will attempt to modify and add/remove as i see fit. the problem i for see now is it created a bloated 73.3 mb nbh file. i am a little uneasy about this. thank god for olipro and his 4.70 hard spl.
*** well here i am with my first "custom rom" lol well my idea worked so far i have wm6.1 and it is fat. memory is as such: ST 27.2 PR 26.0. terrible terrible terrible. now for the fun stuff it is typical windows mobile only a little better than what came with my wing (wm6 pro). the only things that didn't work that I personally may use is the mms which is an easy easy fix and fm radio which i am sure is an easy fix. the only bluetooth test i did was calls with a headset cause that is all i will use out of that for now. it worked flawlessly. 4 games came with this and worked. office 2010 worked with sharepoint. dopod sim manager is awesome because when i move my sim contacts over it did not overwrite or ignore listings with the same name. the option with Aserg's roms did either overwrite or not move. wifi detects networks but i had no open networks and lost the key to my home network so couldn't actually test the wifi function on this rom. the camera and calculator work great and i love the calc skin that is here. the onscreen keyboard skin is absolutely perfect. nice and clean black keys and have the raised key look to it. quick gps which i don't for see using wouldn't work for me either. the phone theme is very nice although i personally would change the look but functions are great and the slide for more options is absolutely brilliant. well time for me to get down the the nitty gritty and start chopping the crap out of this build and see what i can create. thank you so much for this kitchen ivanmmj and don't worry i will beat the hell out of it for you. (and probably beat my phone worse.)
*** alright noobs(don't worry i'm one too :p) i am going to start by removing stuff and seeing what is required and what i can remove and what sends the phone into limbo. let's call the first "build" i did 5.1.1000. i will start by removing the games and then i will work from there. i will post a log for noobs like me with the build #s what i changed and how it's working. this may take a while so it's a good thing i have 999 builds to work with my number system :D LET'S BREAK A WING!!!!

now i in no way know exactly what i am doing, however thanks to guys like ivanmmj and apreichner, stuff like this is becoming accessible to idiots like us. now i have a cheap samsung phone that i can use if i destroy my wing. i just hope you are as lucky if you get into doing this. well as i posted before i will be putting a build log down to try to figure out just what is needed for this to work for us noobs. i dont expect ivan or apreichner to do this as they are busting their ass making this accessible to us. it is easier for someone like me to go through and figure it out as i go and let other noobs follow along. (sorry for wasting all these posts in the kitchen for cooks and turning it into a kitchen for all.) i can recover my phone in emergencies, can you?
modifying the rom - look at the big box in the middle with the green and gray highlited lines. those are the packages. in the beginning i am going to avoid the first few groups. those are the groups labeled (in blue headers) xip oem and sys. there is a lot you can modify in sys and that is where the true customization comes instead of just taking one person's skin, another person's program and throwing it in. however i am a noob and don't want to break something. see next post for builds.

5.1.1000 is where i modded nothing and created rom. memory: sto 27.2mb pro 26.0 nbh file 73.3mb. see forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5348664&postcount=633 for how it ran

5.1.1001 all i did was remove the games. not much changed. games folder is still in tact so you can place your games there when you add them. look for the SHARED-Devices: Games header mem: sto 27.2mb pro 24.0mb nbh file 72.7mb don't know why i have less program memory.

5.1.1002 removed the windows skin, the keyboard skin, calculator changed to OEM, disabled BTOnOff(Bluetooth still works) works as before with stock skins. look for headers labeled SHARED-Devices: THEMES_QVGA/ SHARED-Devices: INPUT_QVGA/ SHARED-Devices: BLUETOOTH_APPS/ SHARED-Devices: Calculator. mem: sto 28.4mb pro 25.8 nbh file 71.2mb

5.1.1003 removed camera and album (the camera sucks anyways) xda shutdown (very nice program but just extra stuff), the calculator(calculator still worked) quick gps(didn't work without an easy fix) fm radio(didn't work without an easy fix). look for headers labeled SHARED-Devices: PictureManager/ SHARED-Devices: 0096/ COMMON: Herald_Apps/ SHARED-Devices: Calculator/ SHARED-Devices: GPS/ SHARDED-Devices: MediaPlayer. mem: sto 36.4mb pro 27.3mb nbh file 64.2mb

5.1.1004 went to the special "special people" header entitled SHARED-Devices: MOD and disabled all except the SuperJustKitchen_LOGO. i am glad i am able to use this program and have no problem showing it. mem: sto 38.1mb pro 28.6mb nbh file forgot to log it but in the area of 60-61mb

5.1.1005 i removed office 2010, audio mannager, j-blend package(a JAVA setup), HTC Rhodium Enhance, Arcsoft, and set arcsoft. look for headers labeled SHARED-Devices: ARCSOFT/ SHARED-Devices: COMMON/ SHARED-Devices: JAVA/ SHARED-Devices: MediaPlayers. with this i over did it and the nbh file it created was 50.9mb. the file is too small to flash.

5.1.1006 i added voice command. see header entitled SYS. nbh file came up to 53.9 - perfect. mem: sto 46.4mb pro 26.0mb hey not bad storage wise this is a good point to start with. now if i remove anything i will have to add to counteract the drop in the nbh file size. now i am getting to the point where i could disable something important. no problem let's get it done :D

5.1.1007 here i just changed to a 4mb pagepool which had almost no effect on memory. i will just stick with a 6mb pagepool just to make sure none of the programs will have any problem with the computer supplying memory to them.
now i will start add/ remove combos and let you know how it goes.;)

5.1.1008 in SYS header disabled base and enabled camera. the nbh file was 53mb it seems obvious but the phone wouldn't load. it had what we mechanics call a crank/no start condition. load screen without actually loading. base y moy importante. next build

5.1.1009 enabled base back and disabled base apps nbh file 52.2mb too small no flash

5.1.1010 enable BTOnOff same nbh size, too small

5.1.1011 disable BTonOff enable total commander. might as well leave this here i will be using it on all my builds. i am planning on editing registries. nbh 52.5mb must be the magic number. Surprise still crank/no start.

5.1.1012 enable base apps disable baseappsfiles. nbh file 54.9mb mem: sto 45.1 pro 26.5. working so far will update tomorrow after further testing. gotta get to be a be ready for work in tha morn.

I'm not sure what's up with the downloads. Next time I'll split it up so the downloads are no larger than 25mb. Unfortunately, I don't have any mirrors at the moment.
But you can reach the file directly by using this link:
http://justkitchen.info/main/rokdownloads/EXT_0_7.7z

I see your still having problems with the files.

I see your still having problems with the files.
And I'm not sure if it's the server or joomla. It's like the php parsed link times out after a certain amount of time. I'm going to start putting direct paths to the downloads to see if that fixes it.

It's NOT infected. It's a false positive because of what the program does. It's NOT infected.

I started to work on SJK v0.8 again. I set up a bug tracker so that when I release it, you guys can report bugs easily and I can keep track of what needs to be fixed/added.
