tomme45i ,

I like it much. Initial RAM was 26M and using SKTOOLS I get 31M free RAM. Impressive performance and great free RAM rom.

I will install some stuff on it and report later. Over all - like it.

I see you use QM instead of the bee-hive graphics to save RAM. Need to get used to it back..

Hello,

I like your rom very much. But is it possible to get it with the nice 6.5 start menu? Or can you share your kitchen?

No honeycomb, no manila, no titanium etc. I've made this rom to get good performance and a lot of free RAM.

You have made me :D again. I was about to go back to WM6.1 being desperate for RAM, believing our good old phone is finally giving up on the newer roms...

well, I am impressed. It is a hack of a rom. I have to say better than the ones I made myself with Chanvi's kitchen. This rom is fast, lots of RAM, and since I am a home2 user, not having CHome is not an issue at all. I would say- best WM6.5 I have tied since May, and I tried a lot of them.

No real bugs to report... just the fact on setup of the keyboard all languages were removed including English...so it shows 'PL' for language, but still have the right characters.. Is there any way to add now a language?

So far just 1 problem. The calendar days are in polish.
Can you fix this.
Thanks for this amazing rom.

Just reporting first 24 hours with ZERO bugs. Not only 29M RAM initial is real, it is the first ROM in 3 years I see that RAM stays stable over 24 hours without any tweaks. I use Home2 and iGO8. I can't use both at the same time, however, there is a 'power off' and 'power on' buttons to home2, so I am switching between home2 and iGO when I need to.

results: With fully active phone/PDA (and I even have Phonex installed as my phone plugin) iGO runs smooth. I never has less than 23M without any need to clear RAM, just power off Home2... It gets phone calls, emails and txt messages while navigating without any problems. I actually show 6-8M free RAM when iGO is on and in a 500 miles planned rout (minimize iGO and checked).

As for polish - simply change region (setting ->system -> regional setting) and restart the phone. Plain simple. The ROM is WWE...

Thanks for the great review BigE! This ROM seems to be great, from what you've said :D

Unfortunately, this is not compatible with the P3600i :( Tried to hex-edit the ROM, with no success... even nosedive's mod_i did not work :(

I have change Default Install Dir to \Windows. Modded by me FingerKeyb-2.1-QVGA-arrows-Giannis86.cab in attachement.

Go to: Start->Programs->Tools->Advanced Config->Phone->Phone skin: change Disabled to Enabled->Done->Yes

Hi tommei45i,

Personally, I find this to be the best wm6.5 rom after trying the rest. It's fast, stable without the all the frills which I don't need. Thanks alot!

Question: How do I remove your custom taskbar including the battery icon as I would like to install another one which I kinda like? I have tried installing another custom taskbar but the signal and battery icon refuse to change.

Also, I have duplication of the operator name on the phone skin. How do I edit the operator's name? Other than these, its perfect for me and I intend to use this until you or someone else comes up with something better than this. Keep up the good work, mate!

Hi tomme45i,

Thank you very much for this ROM, couldn't believe the free RAM. Amazing.
i have a question thou, the battery icon is hidden in the corner when opening any app, especially when working with mobile shell which is always hiding that corner. do you think there is a way to move the battery icon?

I'm also attaching the Skin folder for FingerKeyb with all the skins & languages if anyone wants to add by themselves.

Thanks.

but the Free Ram and the speed is super for a WM 6.5 Rom

WOW, WOW, WOW... that's the only thing I have to say.

Just to get people understand.. I was going to sell my trinity for $80-$100 and buy a touch HD T8285 (3G US) from Australia as I was desperate. My phone is a major working tool for me, and I use GPS a lot, combined with calls and emails.

I was far from happy with WM6.1 because of poor memory managment on our trinity. RAM leaked down to 3-4M if i did not reset the phone. No auto hibernate or clean RAM did the trick for me, not mentioning the need for soft reset means long(er) fix time for GPS. I needed a quick GPS fix and it was pretty much bad.

I started looking into WM6.5 as I was hoping RAM management by M$ may be fixed. It was, kind of, on the expense of a bloated ROM that left me with practically not enough RAM to run iGO.. Well, if you have a trinity, I am sure you all now.

For months I am playing with Chanvi's ROMs and kitchens. I think I have flashed my poor phone so many times i was sure I will finally exhausted the NVRAM part (it has maximum write times, if you don't know). I actually went back to WM6.1 a week ago because it was completely insane. I started looking for another phone really...

Then came this ROM. It is the most stable one I have tried, certainely between the first 5 fast ones (including tnyynt WM6.1 sxy who is the fastest). I am speechless as far as the RAM handling. It starts with 25M and up, and as soon as I shut off home2 in order to run iGO (well, still can't have them both on with 64M phone) I get 23-24M free RAM. I don't need any RAM cleaner to be used before I start iGO, and because I did not soft reset, the fix for GPS signal is in less than 30 seconds..:D

I am going to donate for this ROM... it worth every penny for me.

One quirk I have to report though - and it may be a home2 issue, not this ROM: When my phone hibernates (shut screen off) and I turn it on using the power button, it comes up immidiately to screen, but my touch screen maybe un-responsive for a good 15 seconds before it starts working. It may be a service running in the background, it maybe home2 is doing something funny, but this is a small price to pay for a superb ROM..

Thank you so muck tommei45 . You made my trinity stay a while longer with me.

Battery with memory icon comes from QuickMenu. Go to QuickMenu options to change that.

It's not bug. I set FingerKeyboard as a default system keyboard.

You can hide the clock by registry edit, but... You can have clock or battery icon in this place, so if you hide clock, you will have standard battery icon (I'm not using phcanOverbmp.dll to optimize free RAM and overall performance).

QUESTION: USING THIAS ROM WITH SPB MOBILE SHELL:

just go to options from quickmenu (after run spb), disable the battery and memory icon (view--> uncheck "show battey on title") --> ok and then able the battery and memory icon again: quickmenu-->option ->view -->check "show battey on title" and check "show on all titles".

After that you can see the battery and memory icon on the left from the "G" icon

A Great ROM Indeed.

I've had this ROM for a couple of days now. I've installed spb mobile shell, tomtom v6.030, core player, memmaid, resco photo viewer, phm regedit.. and it happily runs with 22MB of free memory.

The best thing is, there seem to be no memory leaks at all. After closing an application, the memory happily returns to over 20MB.

Though it is a Windows 6.5 ROM, it doesn't have all the memory intensive dressing that appears in the other Windows 6.5 ROMS, and as a result works like a dream!

As far as I'm concerned, it's an awesome hybrid of 6.1 and 6.5 and at the time of writing is far superior on all levels to any other ROM I've tried.

Great work Tomme45i!

So far this rom works great. however, I have 2 remarks.

When I push the comm manger button (under the power button) I get
the next error "error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename".

And I used to have a button push-mail in the comm-manager. That is replaced
by the 3G button, but that has an other function. Where can I switch push-mail
on now, or better, how can I replace the 3G button?

Another happy user here. Memory management is great! After closing programs, always returns to 21 MB free. I haven't rebooted in 2 days. Probably a record for me on WM 6.5 as I tinker a LOT.

Good work tomme45i

When I push the comm manger button (under the power button) I get
the next error "error opening the shortcut or locating the target filename".

It's not comm manger button, it's a "Button 1" and you can assign there what you want. Go to: Start->Settings->Personal->Buttons.

I used to have a button push-mail in the comm-manager. That is replaced
by the 3G button, but that has an other function. Where can I switch push-mail

To change Comm Manager items go to:

i'm using manilla 1.0 with s2u2 as the lock screen, I get 21mb ram on startup :)

thanks I will give it a try .. are you using the last version in xda-developers (23) ? and hows the speed with m2d ?

It's not comm manger button, it's a "Button 1" and you can assign there what you want. Go to: Start->Settings->Personal->Buttons.

To change Comm Manager items go to:
Start->Programs->Tools->Advanced Config->Menu->More settings->Comm Manager

My favourite plugin always was HomeScreen++ plus my old theme.

I don't use Manila so I can't recommend any version.

Instead lockscreen try S2U2 - far better IMO.

Sorry, only WWE (and maybe PLK in the future).

thanks man amazing rom btw .. ill give s2u2 a try

Thank you, tomme45i
this is truly a great ROM. I've just flashed it, and see the difference immediately.
Just the thing I was looking for iGo, 'cause I'm going to Greece for holiday and hope it won't crash so much.

After flash got 29MB free RAM, and after installing Iconsoft Phone Extension it's around 23-24MB

I'll install my other programs now...

Tnx again :D

didoop,

Your solution may be to look up for an original HTC release for trinity (can be even WM5) and flash with it. This will straight up for you the problems. Then, after it boots correctly, you can re-flash any other cooked rom. I have seen it happen before on my phone, going from one cooked rom to another. The original HTC rom has a code that cleans up everything.

This is to say- if you do not have a hardware failure. As you may know- the flash IC on your phone has limited number of writes (it is a very high number in the 10,000s but it may have happened).

Look this forum for RUU_Trinity_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.00.707.18_6275_1.46.30 .11_108_Ship.exe. As far as I know that was their latest release for our phones. Note that you radio will become 1.46.30.11 after that, I I do recommend you then download and install the latest radio, for quicker GPS lock, and better battery life. I can't tell you which is better, as it depends on where you live.

I just rebooted today. 4 days straight WITHOUT needing a reboot. Probably a record for me. I only did it today because I installed and then uninstalled SPBMS and MS Config.

Otherwise, not a hiccup noticed, and always coming back to 21 MB after closing programs, even when running Microsoft Voice Command. I'm really enjoying this ROM for it's simplicity and stability.

Thanks again tomme45i !! :D

Hello all,

I have just flashed to this very promising ROM and it is so far - My only big concern is that my 4GB SD card is not recognized - Maybe the reason is that I was running a french ROM and the system called it "Carte de stockage" instead of "Storage card".

Any ideas to make it recognized by the system please - Your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Sometimes the Storage Card gets corrupted, run a scandisk or error check on it and hopefully your device will recognize it again... Hope this helps...

Hi. Congrands for the amazing rom.
I seem to encounter many problems ,which may be caused by me....

My phone was working fine with FXinit 6.1 rom, radio rom 1.38,olispro 1.30.
i flashed 6.5 tommie's rom from a WindowsXP pc and worked fine for 12-14 hours.I was fast and had much freeze ram.I managed to work with my gps progs and worked fine.
then the phone start crashing.
I tryed again flashing from a windows7 pc and i could not flash.
I managed to flash it again from my notebook (windowsXp) after i did the the rom format/cleaning process i found somewhere on the forum.Again worked for some hours and started crashing.
The crashing sequence was alot more frequent as soon as i flashed the 1.56 radio rom.

Now i flashed back my old rom (Fxinit 3.7 light).I have flashed the 1.56 radio rom and i have olis 1.30 spl.the phone is up for more than 24 hours.

Is there something i did wrong? maybe i missed something which had to be done before the initial flashing ?

I have not run into this problem.

I would suggest tracking the software you installed and see if the problems happened right after installing a specific software. There is a chance that something added is the problem and maybe it is not compatible with WM 6.5 or even with this ROM.

I can't think of anything that you needed to do before flashing the ROM. Just flash and go as normal.

Good Luck.

@SuperSport - Ms Alba aside, how did you return to the built-in Today screen?

PS: I'm still using the built in Today Screen with Date, Messaging, Calendar, Lock, and TomTom. Kinda nice going back to the original for a while. Although, I'm using the Jessica Alba Theme. Makes it not so boring... ;)

The image shown is not of my actual phone, but a stock image of the theme. I don't have the quick launch icons shown in that image. I just have the items listed, Date, Messaging, Calendar, Device Lock, and TomTom.

I went into Start, Settings, Personal, Today. Went to the Items Tab and selected what I wanted to show up.

Very Basic, but works for me. Keeps it lean an quick.

I'm with John-Wu on that one.

If you do use spb mobile shell 3.01, for ultimate visual tweaking I recommend you also install:

WIDGETS PRO PLUS ULTIMATE WITH CUSTOM BACKGROUND (QVGA, SQ240, SQ320 AND WQVGA ONLY) 070809 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4099015&postcount=3347) by Mskip

AND: MS3Config v0.15 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=523329) by volDeus

Mattster.

I'm now getting 24+MB RAM by following K1sr's registry tweaks to entirely remove the Pro pages and just use 3 lifestyle pages:

Firstly, I recommend you reinstall a fresh copy of spb mobile shell 3.01.
Next, install Mskips Widgets Pack (and soft reset)
Now remove all the widgets from your new Mskip Lifestyle pages (otherwise they will not be available after the reg tweaks below).
Then, install volDeus' MS3Config.
Next, use MS3Config to reduce the number of lifestyle pages to 3.
Then, Use a reg editor to make the following reg changes:

STEP 1. (I didn't need this as I had no HOME3 key to modify). HKLM\Software\Spb Software House 2\Spb Mobile Shell\NowScreen\Layouts\:HOME3 - Rename :HOME3 to _:HOME3 to disable Business Home
STEP 2.
HKLM\Software\Spb Software House 2\Spb Mobile Shell\NowScreen\Layouts\:HOME - Rename :HOME to _:HOME to disable Professional Home (we're going to create our own)
STEP 3.
HKLM\Software\Spb Software House 2\Spb Mobile Shell\NowScreen\Panels\13 - Rename to _13 to disable reference to the Bus Home in the Tiles/Carousel view
STEP 4.
HKLM\Software\Spb Software House 2\Spb Mobile Shell\NowScreen\Panels\0 - Rename to _0 to disable reference to the Pro Home in the Tiles/Carousel view
STEP 5.
HKLM\Software\Spb Software House 2\Spb Mobile Shell\NowScreen\Panels\12 - Rename to 0 - this is important - you need a '0' key, otherwise the Tiles/Carousel will not work - this moves the Task Manager to the first spot. If you lose the carousel, it is because the 12 has not been changed to 0, so go back and check if you have problems. Try exiting mobile shell whilst altering this value, then turn mobile shell on again.
STEP 6.
Important: Make sure you're on the Lifestyle Home, then do a soft reset.
(MS3 will want to go back to the last Home you were on when it restarts... If you were on the Pro Home before you reset, MS3 will try to open that one, get stuck, and MS3 will not restart - if you have done that by accident, just remove the underscore (_) from the registry entry for :Home, start MS3, swipe to Lifestyle, add the underscore back in, now restart.)

You will now have just 3 empty lifestyle pages ready for adding widgets to. No pro pages, and 24.93 MB of RAM (as opposed to 20MB).

K1sr's original thread is here (he uses an alternative Widget pack):
K1sr's "Custom Pro Only Setup" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=3884591&postcount=2348)

The only downside so far is that with volDeus' MS3Config, you no longer have access to the Tweaks, e.g. change the number of lifestyle panels. However, if you modify th ereg manually you can get extra lifestyle panels.

Hope this is of interest to some of you.

Congratulation for your hard work! I have three questions for you:
One is about drain battery, when I speaking on the phone my battery life is very short, usually one day.I don't use the phone for something else, just talk 30-40 minutes.
Second question is about the ring volume, is low and I don't always hear the phone ringing. There is same pach for this?
And third question is about the pdf documents. How can I read it?
Thank you for your time! I wish you the best!

I charged my trinity and switched on the next day morning, the battery shown only 90%, can't reach 100%. Is my battery starting to dead or did anyone face this problem?

my battery show 92%, I put this question 2 pages behind and Tommi wasn't response me.

Last night I try to put "set default keyboard" cab (it's in this forum)for second time and when I have soft reset, my trinity is not starting, it stops on first image, logo HTC in my case. I try with 5 soft reset, but was not worked. I had hard reset for 2 times and my trinity is back to life.Has something happened to someone?

my battery show 92%
This is normal situation and it should be on every trinity. In my case after fully charged phone (100%) indicator quickly drops to 93% and then it's stabilizing.

One question, where can i put the data stuff to have WAP and MMS from my network?
Try to search for ConnectionSetup or Network Wizard. In next rom version I will add propably ConnectionSetup to my rom.

battery situation:
Everything depends on battery condition. My old batt before it's death showed 90% couple minutes after full charge, full charge was enought only for 20h (come calls & sms). Nowadays I have a new 2500mAh extended batt, and everything is ok, battery meter works fine, and my trinity works 48h after full charge (calls, sms, about 1-2h GPS, about 2h of internet surfing), but it has become so big.
ROM is fine, I didn't think that wm6.5 could possibly have 29mb of free rom (after soft reset), and there is no problems using operamini, pigeon and gps at one time.
1 question: is it possible to return standart wm6.5 menu instead of quickmenu?

yeah... now I'm about 24-25 Mb Free.. before it was lower.. 20-21 :).
A question.. also happens to you when SPB is active the info about memory in the top-right corner are hidden?

I think I know what you mean. John-Wu gave me a solution to this earlier on in the thread:

Go into Quick Menu, Options, View--> uncheck "show battey on title" --> click on ok.
Then, go into Quick Menu again, Options, View--> check "show battery on title" and check "show on all titles".

After that you can see the battery and memory icon on the left from the "G" icon.

Hope this helps,

Mattster.

Agreed, same as here.
Anyway, tomme45i must congratulate you on this excellent ROM and your care and support.

I have few questions:

1. Bluetooth Hands-free is working ok, but I'm interested how can assign voicedial to my contacts? With Button1 (Press & Hold) I activate HTC Voice recorder, and it even works with my bluetooth hands free, but there used to be a VoiceDial option.

2. ActiveSync killer is not doing what is supposed to (or I'm missing the point). I experimented syncing with Google over wireless and it worked, but after I deleted that sync settings, now every time I connect to Internet, my AcitveSync starts... and keeps running, even if I manually close it.
So is it only me or ... anybody else?

3. I know someone already asked, but some way to increase ringtone would be very nice. Any news about that?

Thank you in advance, IzNoGooD

WINDOWS 6.5 ALARM ISSUES.

I think this are Windows 6.5 bugs, but I thought I'd check:
1. If you set an alarm, it will always be preceeded by a reminder (unless you deactivate reminders in sounds and notification settings).
2. The alarm stops after a minute even if you do not switch it off.

Are these both still an issue or has anyone found a fix / workaround?

Mattster.

p.s. In the meantime I'm trying out G-Alarm.

Thanks tomme45i for making a great ROM.

I've just flashed my friends Orange M700 with this ROM, and everything seems to work okay (we were already running the latest radio).

However, it seems that the internal storage is now mounted up read only. I can't copy any files into 'My Documents' on the device, nor can I install any cabs. I just get the message that installation was unsuccessful.

Does anyone have any ideas what might have happened? Is there a solution?

1. How To Save SMS text messages to SIM?
I can't seem to find an option in SMS text messages to "Save to SIM".
In other ROMS (maybe only in 6.1 ROMS?) it always used to appear as an option.
Any ideas?

2. Does Trinity work with 4GB / 8Gb sdhd cards?
Is anyone managing to use a 4gb or 8gb sdhd card with this rom? If so, how?, because as far as I have read Trinity's do not support sdhd cards. In many cases, after a soft reset, the device fails to see the card anymore.

Thanks in advance

1. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Save to Sim is a Package that needs to be cooked into the ROM. I'm not currently running this one, so I don't remember, but if it's not found in the menus, or through File Manager, then it was probably not cooked in.

2. As a follow up to our PM's Mattster: I'm using an 8GB SDHC listed in my signature, and the adapter listed there also. I don't know if it has to do with a particular phone, an SD Card, Adapter, or what, but mine has not given me trouble since I've had it.

I hate to admit it, but I NEVER remove the SD card when flashing using USB. Not sure if that's what's helping, as I've been told the do the opposite, but it's been working for me. Obviously, when I flash SD method, I swap for my regular 2GB SD.

Hi Supersport.

I've been pulling my hair out over this one. The more xda threads I read, the more it seems some Trinity users can use 4GB + cards with no problems, some only after installing a cab, others can't at all. It's crazy as most of the threads reach no conclusions whatsoever.

I am noticing now that some of the earlier ROMS like Schap's WM6 Pro 4.30 ROMs [WWE/FRA] actually stated in the features that they included "SDHC Support":

01/01/08] Schap's WM6 Pro 4.30 ROMs [WWE/FRA] (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355506)

What I don't understand yet is if SDHC support needs to be cooked into 6.1 and 6.5 ROMS for the user to be able to use 4GB + cards. Some threads suggest that 6.1 includes it automatically, others don't. Maybe some Trinity's have it and other's don't, depending on country or date of manufacture?

Maybe Tomme45i can shed some light when he sees this.

In the meantime I am no closer to achieving anything higher than a 2gb mini sd. According to some, the TRinity is not sdhc compatable anyway, but if that is true... how come YOU have an 8GB sdhc card working!?

Very confused.

Mattster.

That is confusing indeed. I've never installed a Cab to get it to work, and I've used this same card for around a year, and on probably dozens of ROMS, many of the same you've been using. Hopefully, someone will have a good answer for you. I wish I didn't need my adapter so badly, I'd send it to you to try, to determine if that is it or not.

Actually, the adapter is only US $0.45 plus shipping right now. Might be cheap enough to just try it. As a matter of fact, mine has a split, I think I shall order another one to have on hand for when this one breaks.

PS: I just pulled my Micro SD Adapter out to see if there was anything different about it. In fact, it's the one listed in my signature, and it is just called a Sandisk Micro SD adapter. Nothing mentioned about SDHC on the adapter. The SD Card of course says SDHC, and it's the first one in the plastic box listed when you click the link in my signature.

Although, saying that, I did have a 4GB SDHC card a couple of years ago that didn't work so I just stuck to a 2GB card in the end.

I tend to agree. 2GB is not enough space. I have TomTom, which is around 2GB by it self, and then sometimes I like to try iGO, and then of course, music, email attachments, etc...

It really is a mystery. I'm hoping it is just an issue of using the correct card and adapter because that can be cured.

Only other thoughts: I've formatted my card (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=SanDisk+microSDHC+8GB) in the Micro to Mini adapter (http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=micro+sd+to+mini+sd+adapter&x=10&y=19) and then using my SDHC USB adapter (http://cgi.ebay.com/SD-Secure-Digital-SDHC-Card-Reader-Mini-USB2-0-Adapter_W0QQitemZ270448008221QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH _DefaultDomain_0?hash=item3ef7f51c1d&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) on my Vista Computer as Fat 32 and no label. I store ALL the software cabs I might install, on my SD, in case I forgot something and want to install it while I'm out and about, or if I had to do a Hard Reset when I'm not near my computer. Plus, music, documents, pictures, games, etc...

I should think you'll be wanting Trinity\Roms\Tommi\6.5.23017.exe

http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=8119461445f11f038c9e7c56ba37815f7a114ead 3b611379

That's the latest one. You will probably want the latest Radio 1.56.70.11 on there too which you should do first before the ROM.

Trinity\Radios\1.56.70.11.exe

Don't forget you'll probably need the Olipro 1.20 HArd SPL to get that radio on there.

Trinity\Hard SPL\Hard SPL 1.20.exe

Actually, in File Explorer, you just click and drag. I'm not sure how to select randomly, but to select multiple, just tap on the first item wanted, and drag to the last item wanted.

For now only this soluttion:
MMS:
Start->Programs->Office->Messaging(SMS/MMS)->Menu->New->MMS->Select->Insert picture/video->you're choosing camera and making a photo
Email:
Start->Programs->Office->Messaging(Outlook E-mail)->Menu->New->Menu->Insert->Picture->you're choosing camera and making a photo
Propably it's simple reg edit to fix that problem. I'll look to it later.

thanks for the best rom but how to disable quick menu. i want to use the classic menu.

I believe tomme45i answered that in a post in this thread, or the new thread. On the Pre-Cooked ROMs, QuickMenu is cooked in and cannot be turned off. If turned off, then there is NO menu when you click Start.
In ordert to get the standard Windows Menus, you would need to cook a ROM from the Kitchen and leave QuickMenu out.

I've personally tried both ways, and have come back to QuickMenu. Not sure why, but I like it a lot.

I would also recommend trying tomme45i's newest ROMs at his new thread. They are very quick and reliable. You can also find the newest Kitchen there.

Hi everybody! I've never messed with my phone before, I liked it as it was.... The device info:

Operator vers. 19.123.10.704
ROM version: 1.23.70.4
ROM date: 03/20/07
Radio version:1.38.00.01
Protocol version: 32.71.7020.12H

I've read so many good stuff about this ROM that I've decided to give it a try because the lack of memory has always been a problem for me.

It there a way that I can make a full backup of the phone in order to be able to return to this version if something goes wrong? If so, which is it?

Thank You for your answer!

Start->Quick Menu->WiFi->Open it just activates my wifi and then does nothing. Doesnt search for any networks available. When i push config, it shows me the Configure Wireless Networks screen and there i push Serch for Networks and it says that no networks are available and blah blah. But, i know that many of them are, included my own.
Please bare with my inexperience on net connections, and propose me a possible solution, if any.

Hi,

First of all: Great Work!! :)

I have put this ROM over 5.0 and it works great. a lot of free RAM and no issue will now as I like simple stuff. I have just installed IGO8 and works fine.

I have an issue the icon from where you can control the sound profiles (normal, silent, and the volume) doesn't work anymore - it is like disabled. In this moment I cannot set my phone on vibration or silent or change the volume.

Another issue that i have is with the time zone - it ios happening sometime that the time zone is changing so all my calendar items and emails are reporting wronglly.

Do you have any idea?

Thanks a lot,

Thanks everyone..

You will also need to rename your old \ROM\Trinity\[build number] folder to 23070 (yes that is 23070, not 23071 - this 23071 build has a 23070 XIP) and go to Xipporterex window to update the "ROM Date" and "ROM Version" values on that Trinity XIP

But other than that you only need to worry about whatever EXT packages you have which may contain modified SYS components from previous builds (eg: customised Titanium CPR files or TSK themes, etc). If you do some of these may be overwriting the newer versions in the SYS.

Just do a "Create ROM" and then check through you build log to see what files came up as "Overwriting file ..." and see what they were.

There are also some packages like Outlook Enhancement which are now incompatible with WM6.5x builds (it breaks SMS sending) ... but if you are just updating a reasonable recent WM6.5 kitchen this should already be dealt with.

But essentially, yes. I have given you the ROM\Shared\23070 and SYS\23071 folders as "ready to go" for any ervius visual kitchen setup. You won't need to worry about recmod'ing modules or making it QVGA res.

You mean SMS does not send? You need to remove "Outlook Enhancement" (OutlookEnhancement.dll) from kitchen.

Ervius Visual Kitchen automatically removed timebomb ... but I have already done a build from that SYS so my VK has already removed it for you.

Yes sms does not go! You press the button "sending" and sms does not leave!
In my kitchens there is no folder "Outlook Enhancement". But there is a folder "PACKAGE_Jade_OutlookEnhancement" and in it a file "OutlookEnhancement.dll". Means to me it is just necessary to remove a folder "PACKAGE_Jade_OutlookEnhancement"?

Yes, exactly. Delete that folder and re-create rom. :)

The folder names are just whatever someone decided to call it (in this case they were naming the folder to let us know that this particular version OutlookEnhancement.dll was taken from a dump of the official ROM for HTC Jade device).

You will often see this happen on XDA where we say "remove X" and the exact name or location of "X" in your kitchen will vary from ours (that's why I specifically told you the name of the DLL file, so you could find it).

Yes, I understand. After you do the shortcut, with copy-paste in your pda-phone, you move shortcut in windows/start menu/programs. Maybe will not work all shortcuts, but most all them will do.You must be careful with what you do shortcuts, because the shortcut will have same memory like the executable from your sd-card and will deal very much memory from your rom.
Or easier ;) you can install in your pda-phone File explore extension and you'll have a new option in file explorer like SEND SHORTCUT IN PROGRAME.

Nice rom, but is there any way to give the OS the new OK button which appears at the bottom in some WM 6.5 roms? Also the buttons would be larger and the top bar with battery and time when tapped would give a larger version of all the icons that can be hit with your finger. Does this functionality come in a cab that can be installed? or shoudl you use a rom that already has it? (P.S. is there any specific term for this?)

You are correct, the Top Taskbar is part of a different OS, and thus a different ROM. I'm sure there are Skinning Programs that could produce similar functionality, but to make it as smooth/stable as possible, I would suggest you find a WM6.5 ROM that already has this built in. Same for the Start Button and Menu Buttons. Good luck and enjoy testing new ROMs. :)

hi, everything is working fine with the rom. however i got a problem. the fingerkeyb allows to write 160 char, however if i write in Greek it automatically switches to 70 char per sms cause of the Greek lang. I installed the fingerkeyb again which has the SMS160char inside as an option but when i softreset the device stuck in HTC logo and i had to hard reset again. is there any solution to this, i like this rom and dont want to go back to an older one but i need the sms160 char for the fingerkeyb2.1.Thanx in advance

found it! "AE Button Plus"

I could finally "deactivate" the ok button (in this case both buttons on the device).
GPS Tuner doesn't react by pressing the ok button, but Navigon 7 does...seems to be implemented within the Navigon software.

Thx anyway for your help :)
