Hi. I had been looking for almost a year now. Please help me. I have HTC P4351 (its unlocked)(but I use it on T-Mobile network) a.k.a. T-Mobile Wing. I want to get an Instant Messaging application for AIM service. T-Mobile Wing has this OZ Messaging program on it, it doesn't require any INTERNET connection. It signs on and sends/receives instant messages using your SMS connection. I want just that. For an app to actually log on to AIM server, and whenever I send/receive an IM, for it to count as 1 SMS. Can somebody develop or is there something like this ready already??

Instant Messages over SMS gateway

Thank You Folks!!

***Solution***
1 - Copy and run of your MAIN memory (do not paste this file on your storage card) Network Wizard CAB: http://thewingster.com/Documents/ArcsoftMMS-2.CAB (Install on Device Memory, run it after installing, pick your carrier, and follow instructions)
2 - Find a *.cab file of OZ Communicator on this forum and install.
This should do it. Did it for me!!

You know Christmas is coming up soon... As long as you are a good boy (and post in the right forum), I'm sure Santa will get you just what you want!

??? Probably not.

And as it's been said, this is the WAYY wrong forum. This app could be developed for ANY phone, so you would put a request in the main Development and Hacking forums.

You are like the guy that comes out and tells all of the kids Santa is a fake, that's so horrible! I am so ashamed!

Well it's better than making this guy spend his entire Herald life searching for an AIM app.

Unfortunately, I'm not a mod, so I can't move it. If I could, I would have moved it the first day.

And if you want something like OZ, why not just download and use OZ?

Cuz, Ivan, apparently OZ Comm doesn't work on non-Wing phones. He's on the T-Mobile network, but has a Herald. Is that true that it won't work on non-Wings?? Or should it work just fine on the Heralds?

I don't know. He has an Atlas, not a Herald, so it's basically a Wing but from HTC. Has he tried OZ Comm?

He's tried it already. He said it didn't work. That's why he posted this thread.

His post doesn't say that he tried it, only that he knows the wing has it. I want to make sure he actually tried it.

He did try it. That's what his OTHER thread was about, LOL. He tried two different versions, I think.

I didn't see the other thread. Where is it? :p

He should try flashing something based on the Wing (like JustStable (NOT SuperJustKitchen as that's based on the Herald)) and try OZ again.

I too was wondering if one of our ROM's would work. I would think it would.

Here's his thread, IM Messanger (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=541894) (Which is nicely mis-spelled, lol)

I just sounds like his settings might be a little off. He should install and run Network Wizard or the Tmobile MMS/GPRS settings cab.

From the other post he made, it doesn't seem like he did. He kept asking about the network settings (although I only read the first page and a half.)

So you installed and ran the network wizard? (Or the Tmobile Network settings cab, NOT just the MMS cab?)

If so, try to switch to a tmobile based ROM (seems that will have all the tmobile registry keys.)

For T-Mobile Based ROM's: http://thewingster.com/roms.aspx

Tell us if the ROM's work for you, if you choose that option!!

No. I manually set the connection for MMs up. I found directions online.

Oh, go ahead and try the Network Wizard CAB first, since it's just a CAB. If that doesn't do it, then try the ROM's.

I told you to install the CAB on Main Memory, and then RUN IT!! You'll find it in your Start Menu. I don't think it goes into the settings like Ivan said. It's called Network Wizard.

Run it and follow the instructions.

One little question, when my phone is set to "Vib" mode, this app doesn't notify me anyhow. Only when my sound is on

Check the settings in OZ Communicator. I've never used it personally.

And, Update the first post of this thread with detailed instructions on how you got it working. That's the responsable thing to do.
