The question for an upgrade from Vista Ultimate 32 bit to Windows 7 64 bit is nowhere really answered. Is it possible to upgarde or is a clean install needed?
Just want not spend the time to reinstall all my software...
Any diefinitve answer is appreciated.

I'm afraid it is impossible to directly upgrade 32 bit windows to 64 bit windows, and a clean install is necessary. However, I generally do a clean install with any new version of windows, just to have a leaner, faster OS. Hope that helps,
Dave
