hey styles, have been using your v3 naked up until now and went to v4, but initially, seemed the same to me, is there a difference in your naked versions? Also, think you can provide a cab for the quick gps and for voice recorder that would be usually standard on other roms.

Also, other than m2d, what are the extras in light over naked?

There is only a v.1 naked and never been updated, naked is bare bones no M2D etc, light v.4 is slimmed v.4, v.4 full has some updates regards programs not much i can do to change a 6.1 platform without putting in beta and turning unstable ;)

Ive been out of reach from this part of the forum as I recently sold my Kaiser :( and bought a TP2.

Just wanted to share a few thoughts.

Ive ran through great chefs from magician to hermes and to kaiser. They were all great (Abs, Josh, kareem, TPC,etc..). I was a beta tester to a few and they truly made wonderful roms. Snapy,clean and nice.

Till I came across our friend here. He blew everyone with his first ROM which truly came out FLAWLESS. It was a first time that i see a chef cook a rom and get a flawless, snappy rom on his first shot (he has helped and did cook before, but was his first for Kaiser). I did beta test the first 2 roms and LUVED THEM. When he first told me i was doing a V2, I couldnt understand what needed to be fixed.

It is sad that i had to part with my kaiser as it was truly a very good phone. We had a good run. Made good friends and close friends.

Hope to see you soon cooking for the TP2 bro. Will keep in touch.

Check all your sound settings....
No other reports and no problem my side so i'd advise a hard-reset... So i'd say not a ROM problem...

Hi ALL,

Also check the mp3/.wav file. I have had several that work in my media player, but will not work as ringtones even though all my other ringtones work.

We might try another SPL and/or radio. I use 3.29 hard2 and 1.70.19.09 and am seeing some of the fastest cold locks of any of the dozens of ROM's I have tried.

can anyone recommed a cab for a simple screen lock utility?

basically my daughter loves to grab the phone from me & watches youtube. however being very young she tends to tap the screen and screws things up :).. is there a way to lock the screen while in play and can unlock with pressed of a hard button?

We might try another SPL and/or radio. I use 3.29 hard2 and 1.70.19.09 and am seeing some of the fastest cold locks of any of the dozens of ROM's I have tried.

Hello, how to change keyboard settings ? I Have swedish kaiser. Normally i go to registry /HKLM/Hardware/Keybd/CurLang and change value to 1044. But in this ROM is no key called "CurLang" so I create it but with no results (after restart of corse). I tried also change it in advanced settings but it also dont help.

ROM is very fast, and I want to stay with it, but this keyboard make me mad.

I have no idea what the fix is but know that there have been fixes that don't rely on curlang via searching but not sure on Kaiser?
There must be a way...

Just flashed this and first thing I notice is Touchflo doesn't appear to be working - there is no scroll function it just multi selects - have to manually use the side bar to go up and down screens.

I'm using naked version.

Seen a few other posts about this when searching, but they refer to multi select options (FAQ #6) rather than actually Touchflo not working at all....

Any ideas??

TouchFlo working fine for me ;)

The Multi select is what stopped TouchFlo in early version 1 and maybe 2 but don't mem that much lol

You were so quick on the reply you beat my edit! Yes, running naked. Applied the fix and it works - Sorry, I thought it only addressed multi-select in File Explorer (not contacts etc too).

Works like a dream - cheers.

Been using for a few hours now and only used 3% of the battery!?! Obviously too used to 6.5 using 50% just to boot up!

Can't seem to replicate this with the process taken, but then i don't sync with WMP but for me to transfer some new music via WMDC open up Audio Manager it scans can play audio, update WM library then run Audio Manager and play music no issue.

First off sweet ROM. Second this is my first question ever on this site. When I put in my password at the email setup it some how duplicates or something. I have to set it to manual send/recieve. It will not auto update new Emails. What do I need to change or do to fix this. I have Flashed twice and entered the password in many ways and it goes from a 7 digit number to a number at least twice as much(have not counted). Any help would be apreciated.

No difference for me unless the icons have not loaded before @ which point they take a sec like every ROM does which is the original HTC driver problem.... But not noticed luggin lol
The setting panel is read via .dll where as the .lnks for the programs in start menu need to be read refreshed..

The way that the folders are set out shouldn't leave much dragging as 3x4 without dragging, just takes a bit of organizing ;)

Glad you got it sorted, i use pay as go and there is a .cab for it but i don't use it due to the restrictions o2 place so use a different set up that doesn't allow MMS.

I use TouchPal as my main keyboard but was playing about with Swype last night and it's a nice keyboard don't have to Swype with it either can just be used as standard, there are setting to make it faster and also to change the size of the display trace.

Have no idea about BT Explorer as never use and if using M2D you can go forward as in fast forward or backwards via the little green progression bar.

If swype wasn't free then i wouldn't have taken much notice but for free it works extremely well has some kinks as ripped out of Omnia II and very early, never been a fan of FK just as when i killed the press hover over always lost the button press effect, so i'm still running TouchPal :D & swype as secondary...

I will say that WM6.1 takes some getting used to as I've been using PDACorner Ultimate-X2 since Beta II. I really like the features of WM6.5, but got tired of its bug-prone nature and tendency to have sub-par battery life..

Anyway, I'll report any bugs I may find, but it seems pretty damn stable so far. I could probably make some suggestions, but for now, I won't be that guy. Great ROM, stylez. Keep up the good work!

Just include SIM PIN, and also try out if MagiCall SMS block + MSVC works. That' the only thing I could thought of right now (not working on V4)

I have question about Tom Codon Internet Sharing (via WIFI). Program start normally, run EDGE connection , but don`t run WIFI. I tried enable wifi manually, but it doesnt work. Next I tried enable bluetooth internet sharing, it works for 2-3 minutes, next kaiser end edge connection. Any ideas, how to run wifi sharing ? Maybe HR help, but I dont want to do this.

First off, let me say "WOW!!!" This is a very nice Rom. I think the best I have flashed. Good work.
Now, onto:
stylez is working on v5 which will probably be his last as he just got a new Touch Pro, so he wants to go out with a rom that will last the ages. So please suggest away.
The only thing I can think of is the "flipping clock." if it's not too much trouble. I had that on the last 6.1 ROM and I loved it.


And the transparent clock would be cool too... Just ideas...



One other thing I thought of is the LEDs. I have only had them work right on one ROM and I don't know why. For instance when you have a missed call (missed calls work) or text, the left LED that was flashing green would now flash orange. That would be nice.

The messaging problem is kinda solved via the fix for sms posted in F.A.Q but is an issue with many builds not fixable a.f.a.k.

To All: I have v.4 full Kitchen sat there now, your users throw ideas, software to be added/removed theme maybe if anyone has better? blah blah.

Just 1 thing i won't do is include the new Manila as i go from being stable to kinda sluggish and buggy...

This will be my last ROM as am just getting me head around Touch Pro and will need to spend my time doing so, thank you all for being supportive and the kind words given :)

Cool glad it worked made from package as no where on XDA is the download, yeah you correct green just the selection, was gray just wasn't sure what .cab had tweaked :D

I got it working kinda ish in v.4 light or wwwas it the naked ROM? By that i mean it worked but i couldn't stick it as it's slower than standard M2D and i'm not fond of weather on homescreen since i got eyes :D

o.b.t.w been working on v.5 final as i'm now using TouchPro...

Hey Stylez a quick question for you :) How can i have the smooth scrolling of your V4 rom into another rom? In shifu's and sakajati's 6.1 roms (they both have the new manila 2.0) the scrolling is horrible. When i say scrolling i mean scrolling in the menu, messages, contacts etc and not manila ;) Can you help me?

I've heard of the alarm bug, but I've been lucky I guess, I have g-alarm, and I use both, the WM and G-Alarm, I wake up at 3am to go to work, so I set all the alarms in intervals on my phone so I won't oversleep. G-alarm is pretty cool.;) Thanks to you bud!:D

Yeah i was going on long time back :D Another cool one since you now on TP is Klaxon "not sure if spelled correct" it can be turned of via shaking, but doesn't have the random ringtone so still use G-Alarm looks crisper on VGA ;)

The F.A.Q holds them but since it also changes the Start Menu folder icons here is a .cab without that .dll that changes them. ;)

Really looking forward to v.5. I've been using v. 4 since you put it up for downlaod it has been the best one for the Kaiser that I tried and I tried quite a few. Just never could get used to 6.5 at least for this phone.

that's something everyone should do if having problems with this rom, before posting an issue, double check it , 'cause while I was using this rom, I never had a single bug. NONE!! but also if having problems , that's what Stylez is here for, to help.

1. I know there is no official 6.5 versions for the Tilt. Since 6.5 was not meant for the Tilt, will all cooked 6.5 roms on the tilt necessarily be buggy and unstable? Should I only stick with 6.1 on the tilt?

The reason I ask is because I flashed about 5 different TPC Elite Kaiser 6.5 roms. I flashed the suggested radio and spl. SPL 3.34 Radio 1.70.18.02 All of the roms worked for a while then at some point would freeze so I needed to soft reset with the stylus. Then a lot of times it would get stuck in the booting and never start up or when it did it would be back to the screen alignment setup screens again. Many times I would have to hard reset to get it working again and this is not practical to lose all my info every time I shut off the phone.

I finally gave up and flashed Stylez Black v.4 WM6.1. I have been running it all day with no crashes and I purposely restarted it a few times to make sure it worked. Its a good Rom but I really prefer 6.5.

1.5 Are there any great 6.5 roms you know of that are very stable and not buggy preferably with manilla? Can you give me the names or the links on xda?

2. Could the problem I am having with the 6.5 roms be that I am supposed to flash the AT&T stock rom 1st each time b4 I flash a cooked 6.5 rom?

I have read in some of the directions that this is suggested.

3. What is the reason that this needs to be done and what happens if its not done?

4. If I am understanding right I need to flash the stock rom then a cooked rom and then if I want to try another need to flash stock rom again first?

5. Is there a stock kaiser rom that can be flashed from microsd card.
That is how I am flashing all the cooked roms as it much easier than messing with xp active sync or win7 device manager.

6. Slightly unrelated, What programs, methods, are solutions are used to restore customizations, programs etc back to the phone after flashing? I use microsoft myphone to restore pim and sms info but would like an automated way to restore programs.

6.5 has never been officially released to which is why you may have problems since chefs are working with the best they can even now we have native nk it's not 100% as been patched and not in official state.

I personally use 6.1 as like my device to be fast in every aspect and have 0% lag also prefer 6.1 user interface as find 6.5 slower for me to access everything needed.

1.5: It's all a flash and try i haven't flashed 6.5 in many moons.

2\3\4\5: This could be your problem you can get stock from wiki and since they a .exe just extract it with winrar/winzip etc then flash via SD, the reason of flashing stock ROM is to clear nand, when you flash a custom ROM the nand is not always fully cleared so remnance of ROM when flash new to which is why flash stock ROM to which will clear nand.

6: I use SASHIMI it's linked in F.A.Q to restore programs\reg etc

I don't use Kaiser as my device and just getting my Touch Pro sorted is taking many hours in the kitchen so time very minimal along with my other activities outside XDA, which is why even v.5 is taking longer than expected.

I'm completely new to these HTC mobiles and after flashing my mobile numerous times....this was definatly the BEST....however,Tom Tom will not work at all.....'I just get the lovely Waiting for a valid GPS signal'.....this was not specific to this rom,it didnt work on the factory shipped rom either, the only rom it has worked on so far is the eOS 4.888 "FiRe" rom.......any ideas of the problem or should I just bin tom tom and use another satnav??? Thanks :)

It started having all sorts of power issues with it turning off, not rebooting etc , so Ive now upgraded to this Rom.
I've also upgraded to the recommended Radio 1.70.19.9.

The problem I have is that transcribe has vanished.

It was working well under v3 black but it has vanished from the available keyboards now.

As a side issue, the telephone number that appears under /settings/phone is incorrect. Not sure how that can be fixed.

The SIP menu is what pops up to allow you to change keyboard when you are using transcriber and try to change back the menu pops up and down fast not allowing different selection.

Like i say no one else mentioned any issues regarding v.3 with power, with aprx 2000 downloads and i never faced only time i ever have issues with any of the roms is due to battery sliding since use a 2700

Did you soft-reset after changing your no. in dopod sim manager? as i just changed mine even though correct and worked ;)

I presume you are talking about the radio on your Kaiser Stylez V4 WM6.1 ROM. I don’t see why not. I think any POLARIS NEON & NIKI KAISER should work, it just depends on your area, some radios work better in one area and not in the others, matter of trial and error what works for your area.

nothing i wanted to run the android on my sd card but u need 1.71.09.1 or higher as i read..but i want to keep stylez naked with spb mobile shell on the phone...

also i have a prob where my Personal System and Connection Icons dont show..maybe its spb lol but i want to use the 1.71.09.1 and re-flash styles, put a new spb 3.5.3 and then put android on my phone..i just want to try android all the hype.

Added multiple cities in my favorites and am able to switch between cities, just one little issue that I am trying to figure out, I am not always in a hot spot and do not have 3G so trying to figure out how it can save data for later use. It works but only for the city you were viewing last for rest of that cities it only save the 5 day forcast, which is good enough for me, most of the time I only need detailed forcast for the place I am in :).

Thanks Stylez for an awesome ROM. I am a new user, and first loaded you v4 Full Rom and liked it very much. I flashed v5 this morning and am continuing to explore my new phone.

No problems I can see, so far, so good.

I love how I can now use my phone without a stylus (I have large fingers) and the look /feel of the screens. I don't think I'm even going to try any other ROM's since this one seems perfect for me as-is!

It is not the rom, it is Accuweather. when I flashed this as a test rom for stylez last week, the weather tab updated perfectly.

Just hide it with HTC TaskManager "you'll never even know it's running" it takes up no resources doesn't effect battery.

THANKS STYLEZ, I have been using/testing V5 since last night and found it to be flawless and very fast, no problem of any kind what so ever, all my favourite applications working beautifully and have NO compatibility issues of any kind. I must say to date this is the best WM 6.1 ROM that I have used and in my own personal opinion/experience better then WM 6.5 ROMs that I have tested.

I noticed that weather updates in M2D have started working since this morning. I have added like 8 locations and all updating very nicely.

Thank you Stylez for a GREAT ROM, now that I am fit and able and actively looking for job I will be better able to express my gratitude after I find one.

The Light version will be about 117MB space have had to make sacrifices to get it that small so will attach some .cabs to first post with connection setup etc "that takes up a lot of space" and only used once.

Nothing i can do about that as you have noticed it runs in the background in many ROMs. Search for Fake Server.

The volume you can as there is a shortcut hidden in Windows\Start Menu but it'll have no icon, the brightness you can't but i'm sure there's applications that can be placed there.

The Volume adjusts with a long press of side OK button and brightness adjusts with long press of front windows button. No need to add shortcuts into program tab.

The ROM is pre-set to do that just like denco7 has stated ;)

I think the user wants in both places so as he can adjust ether way via quick press or via the program launcher.

Blame the calendar bug on M2D as is from original i'm sure someone competent @ editing .xml could make it display 2 without overlap. ;)

Not that i'm aware of and as already said if someone wanted to edit it then feel free, it's one thing that doesn't effect all users and never effected me so not been a priority as so many other priority's when cooking a ROM ;)

Remembering i don't use the Kaiser any more so i cooked this ROM without even using myself :)

It is so perfect even without having / testing on a Kaiser ... that speaks for the Cook's skills.. kind of blind cooking a perfect dish ?

No i still have a Kaiser i just don't use it as main device so what i meant was that i cook without using to which was never what did before i cooked due to being my device and using the ROM for personal to which is what this ROM came from me needing a personal ROM. ;)

Hope that clarify my functional device is a TouchPro with a very nice custom ROM :D

that would be sweet, i was gonna upgrade to the tilt 2 but att has fixed it where if i do i would have to get and keep their $30 a month data package, so i will stick with my old tilt. :D

Do you guys have a wireless tether connection .cab that you recommend I should try with my kaiser and this rom? It'd be nice to not have to plug in to tether, although I'd need to charge the phone battery for extended sessions.

I have a problem with this rom. Why there is no usb to pc icon in connection settings ? Is there any other way to disable "enable faster data synchronization." Becuase without doing this I cannot connect via active sync. Can anyone help me ?

This is an excellent rom that you have made. Battery life is excellent, lots of memory(68mb rom), with lots of extras. I just used m2dc to change the soft keys to contact and action menus and this is quite a phone.

I added pdacorner's colors on the top right with this cab to give it a nice colorful look.

USBtoPC in Windows dir or a serach of the thread will give you a .cab for shortcut in Start Menu

Scrolling fine in File Explorer first time i really opened it as use Total Commander since doesn't hide files.

I'm running light @ mo but should be no different in full if is may be worth checking the F.A.Q as may just be the TouchFlo setting, to late for me to flash full ;)

It scrolls fine styles, that's not the problem. I meant, for instance, if you try to use the stylus in file explorer to highlight 5 files to cut or copy you can't do that. you can only highlight one at a time....i think it's more the build than an error with your rom, i think. i don't know if there's a way to set it so that you can highlight 2,3,4,5 files... with file explorer at one time. The way it is now, you can only select one file at a time. It's no big deal, i've noticed all the builds these day do that. So I think it's the build...anyhow, cheers to a great rom!

Yeah that's to do with TouchFlo, problem is if you have multi select it kills scrolling, Total Commander is better just use the ctrl button on bottom to multi select ;)

With the recent Daylight Saving time change on Sunday, March 14th. I have discovered an issue. My time changed correctly, advancing an hour, but all of my calendar appointments also advanced an hour. Is there a setting that will prevent this? How can I change all my appointments back to the correct time?
I even went to edit an Appointment and it actually had the correct time in the edit mode.

I use the same radio and hard flash as Stylez and I'm in arizona. I have it on 2G and that seems to give me 2-3days before I have to charge. It gives good battery life and works nicely. You have to try a few of them to see what works best in your area though. I was using the radio 1.65.24.36 for almost 2 years with excellent results as well. 3G works good and is suppose to save battery life but when it starts searching for the 3G network it eats up a lot of battery. It all depends on how often you use ur device too. If you use it for 5 hours straight, then it won't last very long. However, if you turn the back light down to 2 or 4 out of 10, then that would help with battery life too. So it's the radio, but also how you use your device.

If you click M2D Black & white theme in sig then right corner you will be @ the M2D theme thread then as they are either .m2dc or .zip you can extract the files and just take the image files needed for the clock ;)

If you find a theme you like but not sure about the image files needed PM me with theme and when got some time i'll get you what needed.

Not all themes are as simple as that so the clock needs to be same style.

Go to Settings Then tab over to Connections and then tap on connection setup for your at#t network. For access point, go to comm manager then turn on your wifi and then search for your wireless and the name and pw will appear. Good luck.

Go to settings>connections>connections>manage existing connections>edit

if MEdia Net is not already there , then type MEdia Net in " enter a name for the connection " in " select a modem " put Cellular Line ( GPRS, 3G ) tap next, in access point name put : wap.cingular, tap next, no need to fill in the next screen, just tap finish.

You should be all set.
