If you click M2D Black & white theme in sig then right corner you will be @ the M2D theme thread then as they are either .m2dc or .zip you can extract the files and just take the image files needed for the clock ;)

If you find a theme you like but not sure about the image files needed PM me with theme and when got some time i'll get you what needed.

Not all themes are as simple as that so the clock needs to be same style.

If you are having different battery life than usual give a stock a flash to clear nand always what i do when hit any issue that isn't normal, same Radio should give you same performance as no more software is running @ startup except sip change so should really be no extra draw on battery.

I would have three recommendations and one issue ..

Recommendation 1): provide as well a light version without M2D as my company VPN is not working good with M2D but doing okay with SPB mobile shell

Recommendation 2) : as PDA stands for personal assistent , add a good& free shopping list like mortshopping and as well a personal expense manager. These are two most used apps for me

Recommendation 3) add the very good and free unit conversation software I have found here in XDA developers

Issue: This ROM (and different to Sifu 20 ) seem to have problems reconnecting with 1.70.19.09 or 1.71.09.01 after signal is lost ... it stops looking for signal after some time and I need to switch off/on phone with coms manager ... have not yet really identified why this is happening .

Just use the naked ROM as the light is well light i could make it about 6-7MB lighter without SWYPE? And maybe some others? Not sure i still have naked kitchen but will see if can dig it out as then could update the resources etc.

Never had problems with reconnecting as always logs off when go to sport centre but logs on soon as outside, try different Radio combo.

Not that i'm aware of as i'd expect more users to have noted since over 1000 downloads of v5 but there was another user who had the issue due to the daylight saving.

I don't use outlook so no idea myself.

Just set up outlook 2007 and made some appointments they synced on the correct day in calendar in phone.

Edit: Just having a thought i always use Dave Shaw Time Sync under system tools wonder if that has anything to do with it?

1) Search thread as been answered don't use msn services so off head don't know.
2) It's a matter of sound and also REG there are threads with how too and also with most the sounds. (i'll try and package up the full version sound later when get a bit of time)

It's amazing how a flash of stock can cure so many problems "hate seeing the stock ROM" but can put up with it for about 2 minutes :D

Yes as Sygic McGuider scans and 4800 it sets @ and as far as reading there is no change when setting manually the braudrate "think that's the terminology" :D

Well, after using Stylez v4 for a while and fighting BT disconnects... my flashing frenzy overtook me and I put on a Win 6.5 rom.... tried two or three different ones.... settled on one that seemed to work the best though the audio manager kept dying on my playlists (I'm a huge audiobook nut) and MS VC just flat out said "FU" in the usual Microshaft fashion.

I saw Stylez v5 came out (Thanks Stylez!!)

the next time my audio book refused to play it was bye bye 6.5 and HELLO STYLEZ!!

Great work Stylez!! v5 is running GREAT!! Volume is good, BT seems to be working great so far and MS VC is on and no complaints! Audio books are playing and I'm loving life again!

So.. for v6... hmmm.... Maybe Manilla MEGA? Office Mobile 2010? CleanRam 2.1?

Let me know if there's a way to change that...other than that this rom is flawless and quick. only quirky annoyance is that M2D wont landscape. which causes freezes sometimes....i know theres a fix outthere i read somewhere...i'll eventually get to it......lolol

I see by your signature that you have hardspl and dutty's rom. If that is mnot right then you need to flash hardspl first, and this cannot be done via SD card. Hardspl has to be flashed via activesync the first time.

Make sure that you upgrade your spl to 3.29 or 3.34 first and then flash this rom. It is not necessary to flash stock first, only necessary for 6.5 roms

Okay so i have downloaded the rom but i have it on my phone on the Sd card now, following the instructions on how to flash using the sd card, it says to extract and rename one of the files using the computer. Now, on my tytn2 i have Pocket Rar Cant i use this to extract the necessary file, copy it to the root of the card, and pick up from there?

Yes you can, the file is a .zip file. Use pocket rar, unzip it, rename the .nbh file , drop it in the root of the SD card and proceed with the steps.

Camera will be Radio for a start use the one i recommend in first post, then you can always find the best one for you ;)

Must not have done the sim unlock correct. Follow mskip's guide from sim unlock section.

sorry if this question might have been asnwered but I used teh search function using the word "usb" but I couldn't fin the aswer to my specific issue.....where do I go to change teh setting where when I connect the usb, it asks me what I wanna do: active sync, or internet sharing....this is how it always was until yesterday when I went to sync my phone and anytime i connect my usb, even if its for charging, it foes traight to internet sharing...i installed teh "usbtopc" cab that i found here but that did not fix the issue. First of all: great ROM. Very responsive and fast!

One thing that's a bit annoying is that the upcoming appointments in my homescreen look a bit messy (see attachment). I already set it to show only 1 upcoming attachment and rebooted a few times, but it stays the same. Time out of homescreen is set to 1 hour and that's way passed by now ;)

Any tips? Thanks in advance!

When I entered a new appointment (scheduled today in between the two messed up appointments on the attached image - timewise) in OWA the screen showed up allright after Activesync did it's job. So I did nothing fancy.

Your best to find the one for you, so many variables Carrier/Signal, battery, GPS Fix, data speeds that only you can test, the recommended work for alot of people but peeps take time to get the best of everything.

This rom does not come with radio, so the radio you are using is left over from your last rom.

There are so many factors that go into the choice of a " radio " , which is really just firmware that integrates the sound and camera into the rom : not really a radio in the full sense of the word.

I use 1.65.24.36 because it is the radio that AT$T uses and I am on the east coast US.

Stylez uses 1.70.19.09 and he is UK, your best bet is to try a bunch of 6.1 radios and see which is best for your area, battery and sound. It is so easy to try for a few days and switch around.

That's cool :) Mines an AT&T Tilt even though in UK got mine from a fellow XDA member, i prefer the buttons on Tilt as there not flush like the Kaiser, couldn't say much about build as when got mine the HW keyboard was in bad shape.

I just flashed my TyTn II to this ROM (fullversion) and it hangs at the splash screen.

Bad Flash, try flashing again. If still the same, try flashing a stock rom first, then flash again.

By Choice ?

If you flash by SD Card method, you need to remove the rom from the root of your SD card after flashing or else when you put your phone into bootloader it will see the KAISIMG.NBH and assume you want to reflash.

I'll test it later as on charge don't use as main device, but never had a problem with opera mini previously.

Update: Just tried had white screen on second opening but not again, opera mini has always worked so if is a problem them it's mini's :D

You can survive hard resets via SASHIMI all you have to do is run the .cab to storage has far more options than UC.

The ROM is protected so can't be dumped and re-cooked.

What would have been better is if you'd just answered the question to begin with instead of giving me the runaround about it.

The reason I asked is because I have used a lot of ROMs that people claim are fast and stable, but when I flash them(with the recommended SPL and Radio of course) they are nothing more than laggy eye candy with too many bugs for daily use. Some people may be willing to admit it's not the fastest, and that they are content nonetheless, or that it's fast, but has this bug or that bug, and so forth. These are the people I was hoping to hear opinions from.

It's not a simple ten minute ordeal, as you implied. I have to backup with Resco which is time consuming, then flash at&t stripped, then flash the radio, then flash the ROM, then Hard reset, then dial it in the way I like it by applying the various fixes, set up data, install my apps, then actually use it to see if I like it. Then If I don't, I have to flash at&t stripped, then flash my old radio, then flash Hyperdragon, then restore my backup from Resco. All of which could end up being a HUGE waste of time, which I do not have a lot of these days. So excuse me if I want to be damn sure it's worth it.

How do I change the clock from the digital one to the analogue one? I've deselected the digital one and selected analogue one in home xml tab and clicked on apply. When I go back to the home screen there is nothing there. I go back to the home xml tab and analogue clock is deselected. Any ideas?

BTW - I had a problem with the buttons setting (start -settings - buttons) When I clicked on it I found it was taking 10+ seconds to load. I've now taken the AEBPlus shortcut out of the startup, opened up the buttons setting and restored it to the default setting. Opens up in about a second now.

There are 6 files in the startup menu (5 on mine now) What are the implications of removing any them? Are they all needed?

Other than that I've not had a problem with this rom. Quick and responsive.

Find a them with analog clock, back up current theme with m2dc, apply new then apply backup as the analog clock files wont be overwriten.

Button settings handled by ae except long ptt, know startup slightly longer but with the functionality it brings worth it as only have to reboot once in while, when registered is no splash.

Everything in starup is there 4 a reason, only addition than base is AE.

Didn't work. The new theme applied OK. When I restored the original one touchflo wouldn't load when I selected the analogue clock - digital one OK. It kept saying tap here to start. I did, it started loading, then said tap here to start again. Got stuck in a loop. I think something has got corrupt somewhere.

Anyway, I have some other skins now. And your Rom seems really quick and stable. Spent most of the day playing about with it and it's my favourite so far. Well done!

I've searched the forum several times how to change the default icon of folders, but always people end up saying to create a dll and add the Icon.lnk inside the folder I want, pointing to the dll created... The same as you did with the custom folders! But you also changed the default folder icon, i mean even without the icon.lnk your folders are black. Just curious ... how did you do that? This is only possible if I cook a ROM? Or is there any dll for that default folder icon?

I would also like to add some custom folders as you did and following the pattern of your own! I found the icons of your custom folders inside the IcoRes.dll, but wanted to have an all-black icon as base, to add some images and also create a new dll, IcoRes1.dll for example, with my new icons, like "Net Tools", "Security", "GPS Tool", etc. Can I do this without any problems right? Can you tell me where to find this only black icon or post one for me?

Nope. The only issue I've had with this Rom is with Touchflo. The analogue clock doesn't work for me - maybe I could reinstall the skin if the M2DCT file was put up here by Stylez. A couple of the widgets don't work - Touchflo just refuses to start if they are enabled. Other than that I've not been able to fault this rom. It is quick, very stable and even touchflo responds nicely - no noticeable lag. I personally would recommend this rom to others who are not hung up on having to have a WM6.5 rom.

I edited shellress.96.dll for the folders and storage, this is also what holds the start htc logo, the folders i use where created specifically for ROM series by another XDA user "would put name but i'd only spell wrong as only have mobile phone" he's mentioned in whats in ROM, regrdards more folders you can edit a pre existing .dll witb images then use software sk make on to point shortcut to resource .dll, when i get to a internet point i'll send a pm with more info ;)

It seems the theme does not have the analog in .xml as i tryed what mentioned but didn't get touchflo error but no analog clock, if you want theme with analog then bedt to compare theme with and amend original theme to have analog "i dont have time @ mo to be plaiying with .xml" good luck :)

You can go to the M2D XML thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427531). I did some modding last time to make the analog clock comes. You can search post by me on TPC ROM, or Athine's ROM (quite old thread on this forum, but contain the info you might need)
1. You need the image files
2. You need the xml enabling analog clock.

A bit tricky is to ensure the xml edited with proper text editor. I used xplore editor, didn't work well.

Lastly, don't forget to backup original files first before overwriting.

I tried to open the "shellres.96.dll" in reshacker before but always gives an access violation. From what I understand this problem has to do with the Bitmaps images from the dll. I tried using reshacker v3.4.0.79 and v3.5.2.84 both in XP 32bits and in Windows 7 64bits, but I always get this access violation and does not open anything. I've had it before with other dlls from others ROMs.

If you can show me how to open this dll will already help a lot.

If having to take from another ROM to modify i use ROM Extractor then file editor suite "if not got head over Excalibur section check sticky 4 editing .dll as has new certs included" unsign open with res hack "i only use for start icon" then i use PE Explorer to edit the rest as far easier to use, then re sign.
Not sure why having problems try file editor suite as have never had probs with any os.

Another bit of software i use is Restorator as allows insetring resources of different size and bit than usual.

Is there any way to use this ROM to make my Kaiser as G3 modem will I am traveling via bluetooth ? My Kaiser is connected via BT and active sync is working, I see there is a blue tooth profile network access point ... but I do not get any connection to my PC.

Any idea or tip ?

Second it sems that BT active sync works one time .. but after 2-3 successful sync I get the message "your decive did not connect with PCBH... The connection failed or passcode is incorrect "....

Just notice this a few days ago too. Thought it was my display setting but no it was not.
The rom updates ended so maybe flash a new rom or reflash

Have no idea why touchflo is crashing has been about 3 reports of this out of 1000's of users, would advise a hard-reset then install software testing between, can only think that something has introduced it or original bad flash.

Cheers for the advice, but I decided to disable it and go with HTC Home. May not be so pretty, but at least it goes landscape. Plus, don't want to mess around with install any more - thanks again for such a fast, stable rom!

I'm running Stylez_Black WWE, ROM date 1/3/2010.

When I connect my bluetooth headset to the phone is usually ends up changing the speaker setting to "Silent"... and it stays that way. Unfortunately this results missed phone calls because I only wear the headset when I'm in a call. Anyone know of a way to modify this so the speaker volume stays where I set it even when a bluetooth device is paired?

Sometimes, I have found that problems like these could be due to bad flash...I would maybe try to reflash and follow the suggested procedure.
Make sure you remove your SIM and SD cards.
Also, some ROM suggest to flash a stock ROM first, then flash their ROM
and perform hard reset after.
....just my opinion

It is always a good thing to go back to step one and do everything over, even things that others don't do when flashing.

Whenever this has happened to me in the past, it is always after I have tried out a new theme that wasn't compatible or after trying out a new app.

A hard reset has always solved it.

I use my finger scrolling perfectly ;) "may be an installed program i have a custom light but pretty sure i\beta's checked full before release"

When you plug the USB cable into your phone , it should give the options to sync or to " internet share ". If not the read the FAQs , # 16 in post #4

Full is there on front page, updated Full then released a Light about 2 days after :)

There will be no introduced bugs main change is really album "rotates correct way" and just putting all useful software in without taking too much space oh and swype to which can be dropped due to sip change ah and also pimped more resources :D

Unfortunately I can not find the hex code (FF 00 00 00 FF FF FF FF) as indicated by Ham3r as responsible for the top bar transparency in the file shell32.exe (S001) that you posted. I think there is no such hex code in this file. I managed to find the hex code in aygshell.dll (S001) and modify so that my bottom bar was totally transparent.

The only thing I was puzzled, was that if I extract shell32.exe with ROMextractor I can find this hex code and is exactly at the same offset indicated by Ham3r (0x9A0). But using ROMextractor to extract I can see many "00000000000000" inside S001, as if was corrupted and the file is very different from the original shell32.exe that you posted. And If I put this file back to my phone I can not boot, hangs at the first splash screen.

I'm curious to know why some shell32.exe have this hex code that can be edited to make the top bar transparent and others shell32.exe as our can not!

You know something that could help me understand this? Any reading that I can do?

I am having prlblems with my carkit, Parrot CK3200, and my phone HTC TYTNII with BlackStylez V5 rOM.

I cannot seem to figure out what is causing the problem, the carkit or my phone, but:
- when accepting phonecalls the conversation is sometimes moved from the carkit to the phone. while the bluetooth connection stays connected.

- when I finish a phonecall and end the call by pressing the END key on my phone, the conversation is ended, I hear the phone dropping the connection, but the carkit keeps the carstereo in MUTE. again bluetooth on my phone stays connected.

I have disconnected, erconnected, erased the profiel in the carkit and on the phone, but cant seem to trace the source of the problem.

But i can not send files over BT using my Fedora 11 laptop. As app to send files i use Kbluetooth 4 (version 0.3). install ftp bluetooth explorer and youre all set. the FTP tab will also be back again.

I reconnected to my carkit using the profile "disable synchro". This means it connects, but does not synchronise the phonebook. Now everything seems fine.

I'll report back in a week to tell if this helped in the long run!

"it was my first rom" to ever download, but everything went smoothly.I didnt wanna read all 200 pages of replys just wanted to say ,Phone is a little laggy at times. Keys on Keyboard are either moved or dont work. And ive noticed its like i have two "phones" sort of say on my phone. Like classic style then the rom style. I dont know exactly how to explain it. Regards lagg could be Hard-SPL or Radio based as used it every day till got Touch Pro @ crimbo with no issues, the keyboard if have an AT&T the layout is different so need to install the fix on F.A.Q, the Kaiser has been renound for keys not working correctly by that i mean having to stomp on some keys.

Just one problem for me I didn't really notice until a couple of days ago: The phone doesn't ring! It will vibrate or it can be made silent. But even with full bars, it doesn't ring. In settings it sounds fine when I test a ring, but....in normal use......no ring. Every other program that makes or uses sounds works fine.

Could I have inadvertently made or changed some setting? Any suggestions??

Thank you for nice comment :) Regards sound have you checked volume as dual control system/ringer? Can hold in OK to check or via Service icon, Would also recommend an update of H-Spl if still using v.1 "as in sig" since performance will be better.

Flashed the stock rom, upgraded hardSPL to 3.29 and the radio to 1.70...
It works very well now ... I keep you informed ...

I may launch a Final more tweaked build thinking going back to Old School Opal M2D as it should cure the notification overlaps also has the straight to program RSK. "not going to use new for al reasons previously stated" also have some nice visual tweaks.

Have already explained why will not use M2D Mega but will again it's slower than any of the earlier builds only adds weather on homescreen and a flip clock also when used with 6.1 the scroll .dll causes problems since for 6.5.

I may launch a Final more tweaked build thinking going back to Old School Opal M2D as it should cure the notification overlaps also has the straight to program RSK. "not going to use new for al reasons previously stated" also have some nice visual tweaks.

Anyway will take some time to setup "as not main device" so no need to post when is it out? :D

Ok so had some PM's about beta testers, i'll try and get a build to all a.s.a.p this will be a classic ROM so going to pull it all back to HTC stuff so will be light running Jade M2D.

My new favourite ROM. This is probably one of the fastest and most stable ROMs i've used. Loads of extra RAM as compared to ROMs with 6.5 and the newer Manila.

I dont know if i'll miss the flip clock though but this version of manila is a whole lot faster.

This "problem" exists in all ROMS. Sadly, I can't remember how to fix this (something like setting sync. account settings and then deselecting option...).

As already mentioned it's active in most ROMs the Fake Server trick some use but since doesn't drain battery or impede on resources i always just hide it from task manager.

IIRC, on old mbarvian's ROM thread there're a script to disable auto run for active sync, but not sure if it really works .. :confused:

Middle button on task manager then u will see the async press hold hide "not exact as don't have phone in hand" :D

It can be hidden even further to which will be on next version :) "oh no now u all know" JK

Will be v.6 "Classic" when get me a** in gear :D

All i gotta do is sort all the icons out "when i say all it's a.p.i.a"

Genarlly all the fixes to actually stop have consiquences or don't work so not going to faffle about for something so insignificant ;)

There is a speedup keyboard .cab it's in the .zip with at&t keyboard fix in f.a.q ;)

I'm new to this stuff, I got my Kaiser 130 3 weeks ago and have flashed it with every rom I could find and every version possible including android 2.2 ..

the only thing I have to say is that your rom is by far the best I've come about.
keep doing what your doing.!!! its great..

By the way after 15 re-flashes of your ROM I managed to solve the problem of haveing full HEBREW support on you ROM.

6.1 will wait .. even if patience is hard to get as my device shows some bad effects from other software and I need to flash again soon to get back to a stable status .. so a "new" 6.1 would be very much apprechiated insteed of re-flashing the old one :-)

I cant seem to connect via activesync to my pc. I wanted to flash a new radio but it say that the phone isnt connected, and I cant see the USB->PC option in settings

Hard reset or Radio if first flash, or volume down as dual.

good find :) hadn't even thought of using that .cab to package is there any adverse effect? just know it did something with contacts when .cab'd it up for 6.5.

am still tweaking and when can get to internet will get more done.

I get that too when cooking lol

Been playing with an icon set just shame qvga as end up with slight jaggy edges if not square but when sorted into .dll and made shortcuts will place screeny haven't given up on you all.
