Installation location Question

I'm new to Windows Mobile and having installed quite a few applications, I would like to know where the programs are installed to. Is it installed into the phone's internal memory or on the memory card? It's not like installing a program on the desktop where you can select which location to install to. Please enlighten me on this.

Whenever I install a programme I always get the choice of location , "device" or "storage card", always assumed this was a standard process:confused:

it is depending on which phone you have. A diamond doesnt have sd card slot so will automatically be installed on internal memory. If you dont have an sd card installed in your device at the time of installation, you wont get a choice:)

Also some apps can only be installed to device memory and you wont be given a choice then.
