Mp3 Ringtone issue on HTC Diamond

HI friends,
I have a problem in my HTC Touch Diamond. After installing Nitrogen Player, I am not able to set MP3 as my ringtone. Please tell me how to enable MP3 as a ringtone. Mobile accepts only "wav" & default tones provided by HTC as ringtones. I uninstalled nitrogen & then tried, but no result. I even installed latest Nitrogen player, but i can't find way to set MP3 as my ringtone.
Please help me.

You have to put the mp3 you want in \My ringtones, otherwise it wont pop up in the list if you go to Settings\Telephone.

All my ringtones are in ringtone folder, i can set mp3 as a ringtone but it cant play it. when a incoming call comes, it rings any random file other than mp3.
