Made in China or Taiwan?

Hi, i just got another dash from a friend.
and this one is made in taiwan.
is it better than my Made in china one?
is there a difference?

the differences that I notices are:
the Taiwan screen is dimmer. low contrast?
China screen is brighter, more contrast

Taiwan keypad is purple color LED
China is blue Color LED

I searched, and i read Taiwan can over color to 288, so far it's not working,

for some reason, when i try to use a backup and restore it into the taiwan one, it thinks it's a different phone.
I have the same Rom and radio installed.

from your description it sounds like the one made in china has better quality.

It's one of them that just because it's from a certain country doesn't gurantee, has been known taiwan are meant to be better to OC but i think it's pick of the bunch, ya getz me :D

Did you update your firmware to one of good roms from here? It maybe explain why yours is brighter,higher contract..., etc.

I installed the same rom into both of them.

i also noticed for the china one, when i use the file explorer to look at programs without an icon, the icon flickers. (omap clock for example)
but for the taiwan one, theres no flickering.

does programs like omapclock flicker for u guys?

China one looks brighter and sharper, but the color seems more washed out.
the taiwan one seems to have better white.

I have a black dash that was made in china and the screen is noticeably brighter than my silver dash that isn't very old with the same wm6 rom.

Can you read the new one (Taiwan made) under direct sun light? If you can, it should be a better screen.

I looked up for a amarecian (I think that's chinese) and I see more qualitty in the Brazilian one
By the way, here isn't S620, is S621, maybe a diferent model???:confused:

There can be differences between s620 & s621 some of the s621's where without wi-fi :D

I've not noticed about wi fi, maybe is a difference...
But mine have wifi and works very Well (thanks to god!!!):D

But one thing is equal in all models, they're amazing;)

just wonder,

when u look at black on ur taiwan made ones, does it look negative? like funky looking?
can't explain it. almost like theres no light behind the black.

and when i use the china one. the black looks black. like backlit black.

i wonder if theres something wrong with the china lcd.
